Hi
I have transfered my contacts with missing sync to my phone no problem. I can however not add a favourite contact and get an error about manila.exe.
Can anybody please help?
Regards
Mike
I have the exact same problem and I think I figured it out. The problem is either a) the actual size (kb/mb) of the contact´s picture or b) the resolution of the picture. As of yet I didn´t have the time to test it more precisely, but I´m happy for every tip you guys can give me =)

You're right, Designator.
As lupinaro, I use a Macbook to sync my Diamond with iCal and Address Book as well. Unfortunally (for device, I guess) I have all of my contacts with photos, and just few have tiny photos. Normally I use 640x480 pics or high. With this res, Diamond can't handle with and the Touch3DFlo simply restarts when trying to put some individuals at Favorites tabs.
I didn't find any way to work with it, so I leave this tab away and don't use it at all.
If someone find something about it, just leave a message.
Okay, I filed a support message at the htc website. Let´s wait and see what they gotta say =)

Sorry but I don't think so. I change the resolution of my pictures to 192 x 256 and the size is less than 20 kb.
The problem is still happenning.
The solution is to change the resolution to 120 x 120. It works.

Sweet! I've been wanting to try this app out.
Can anyone post this cab? Can't get the download sight to work.

Accuracy - terrible
I have found the accuracy of WCM terrible. Only cool to impress your friends, not really useable. It get 3s and 8s confused. Can read the letters in graphical company names even though they are clear. OCRs different amounts of information on repeat attempts.
An app like this needs to be rock solid if you plan on quickly capturing the data from a business card and then discarding the card.

I installed this file on my Vodafoen VPA Compact V, the icon appears in programs, I launched it, but nothing happens - does anybody know, if Vodafone somehow excluded this software? Did somebody make the same experience?

My experience has been pretty rock solid, even with cards with A LOT, and I mean a LOT of small text all over the place. The 3Megapixel camera on the Kaiser helps quite a bit.
Of course it's not always 100% with very cluttered cards, but enclosing the information you want by dragging a box around it, and telling it where to put the information in the contact makes it easy to fix any wrong assumptions it makes automatically.
So far I'm impressed. Of course, your mileage may vary.
I think this program is great. However, it always imports the first and last name in the "Last Name" box in Outlook (i.e. instead of putting John as the first name and Smith as the last name, it puts John Smith as the last name). Do I have the settings wrong? Is there a fix? Thanks for the help.
Bump.......
Corrupt .CAB
Tried to install the link above on my tilt, gives me an immediate 'unsuccessful'. WinRAR won't extract it either...any ideas?
Here you go. This is from my repository. Hope it is what you are looking for.

Works fine
worldcard mobile trial
The trial doesn't let you export the captured information to Contacts, so it's pretty useless as a trial. It will show you approximately how accurate it is by capturing the information. I tried it on a business card with three different sets of addresses and numbers. There were a few errors, but overall it does appear to save some time. Now if I could only get Penpower to actually fulfill my online order, so I can start using it....

it not a hack and do you even know what vga is (i change a few on wikipedia so try there first lol) yea vga program work but i can't get ozvga
It's a way to get a 640x480 "resolution" in a 320 × 240 display. It won't look pretty, because it will be squizing it all on 320x240 pixels, but it would give you more screen space.
vaginal ghonorrhea abrasion?
I've been building and fixing computers since the time VGA was considered the standard desktop resolution so I'll let you try and figure out the answer to your own question.
I found out what it was and I don't see how it would work on the Wing seeing as how the screen is only 320x240, but since you guys were talking about it in here, I gave it a try. No change in resolution whatsoever and I tried two different programs, including one made especially for WM6.
I finally got it to work but as mentioned by ivan before it is not a nice screen to be looking at due to the small size of the text and symbols. nyditot seems to have done the trick...only problem is that it only wants to work 50% of the time, but it'll do 'till i can get ozVGA(or another app) to work properly. but when it comes down to it I think that this is too much hassle just to get win98 running on the herald.
When I receive a mms picture message, the picture always comes out extra small then it should be. Is there anyway to fix the dimension size and get the MMS picture view in full size?

I think it must depend on the size of the picture you've been sent - as mine have always been full screen. Bear in mind that the Diamond has a VGA (640x480) screen and most phones send MMS pics at a lesser resolution.
The way to view full screen is to open the MMS pic, click 'Contents' which will then let you see text01.txt and Image001.jpg (or similar) which are the parts of the message. If you hold your finger / stylus on Image001.jpg then you get an option to Save. If you save the file then it gets saved in My Pictures and is viewable in the TouchFlo Photos and Videos... which means you can zoom in using the scrollwheel.
Your operator can also cut down the size to save traffic. It's done on the mmsc server, I believe.
I am also experiencing this problem, The Pics are only coming in at 4k, and when saved as suggested by p3eps It won't let me zoom in. Pics are about the size of a finger nail on the screen which just isn't good enough!
I am going to phone o2 to see if they are restricting something but I am on a unlimited data package so I don't see why they would.
If anyone else has any thoughts would appreciat it!

I've experienced the same problem with my original Orange ROM.
Since I've flashed my Diamond with the original HTC ROM I am able again to receive MMS picture in their original size and not in thumbnail mode !!!
But I've experienced this problem with other HTC models. I think it's a problem with the ROM install. A hard reset could fix the problem. Perhaps.
O2 in the UK do this, if the network doesn't recognise your phone it automatically downsizes the picture. I had this problem with my htc s710. I had to edit some registry setting to make the o2 network think my phone was an xda and it worked.
I cant find the post i found it in, but in sure if was under the networking folder on this forum.

Top Man thats sounds like the problem!!! Only thing is I have no Idea when it comes to registry editing!
Hey guys, I get a few different emails that have pictures with surrounding text. And since i've upgraded from WM 6.0 to 6.1 for some reason the pics are so small that i can't read the text that is on them. Is there anyway to enlarge the pics at all or zoom into them? I searched and saw someone refer to scrolling, that didn't work. And as far as changing the text size, well that changes the text size AROUND the pics, but not the pic itself.
anyone got any insight? i've started to notice that with lots of my emails when i download the pics they are all scaled down in size which is making them blurry and illegible
ok, i tried changing roms, changing from imap4 to pop and nothing is working. and its not just the dilbert daily email i receive, its all emails with pics in them. all images are blurry, and im' not sure whats up with it. does ANYONE have any idea how to fix blurry images. tried looking under gmail support for pop/imap4 and didn't find a thing.
Emails with embedded images will have them resized whatever you do, short of switching to using another mail application. If the images are attachments then clicking on them will bring up the image viewer and it will be fine.

the reason I've been concerned about it is I used to have the emails open up just fine when I first got my phone and set up email with the q-mobile 1.2 ROM. I dunno if the ROM somehow effected it, but I was always able to read the images in the emails. as soon as I went to 6.1 I lost it. tried 6.1 w/out the bloaatware, duttya 6.1, and not a treo fans manilla 2d now. but if email is always "supposed" to be like this I guessi have to settle then

I also faced this issue with the daily dilbert mails. no i do the below and it works fine.
First click on download internet pictures. Dont click on tab to scroll right now. Let it download the pictues, and then click the tab to scroll right link and you can see the comic is a bigger size. hope this helps

ok ill give that a shot tomorrow when I get their next email, hopefully it works
i dont know the hell is going on with my phone, but after a while it went back to display the images properly, now its back to showing them improperly. And i just figured out whats wrong with it. Its not that its not downloading the pictures appropriately, its that when i click the "tap to scroll" it doesn't "unwrap" the images all the way. for example, at the top of the email there is actually a long picture selction bar that says "home-->most popular-->strips-->animation->mashups->blog" in my desktop email these are all in line with one another. but for some reason why i click tap to scroll, blog appears on a second line.
anyone know whhat could be stopping the images from fully "unwrapping"?
When I recieve a MMS picture and go to view it, it is very small is only like 3-5kbs. Is there a way to set it to download the picture full quality?
It's a curse of having a WVGA screen. There needs to be a way to resize/enlarge MMS pictures within the messaging app.
If there is a way to do this, I'd like to know too...
It's fixable - do as this message says and the pics will be full size and not compressed to the 5kb you stated: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2926070&postcount=14
Possible fix ...
I had a similar problem on my xperia with the mms pictures showing up very small.
The attached cab fixed mine along with a friends x1 with the same issue.
(Tried to find the original thread I found this but couldn't so I've just reuploaded the cab)
I will give the cab a try since the rededit seems harder. thanks guys!
Ok, so i gave the cab a try and it made it so i couldnt even send or receive mms!
I wanted to to the other suggestion but as i have an X1, the lines are different

I had same issues initially but via regedits upped the send limit to 600kb. I also insert pictures from within the drafted mms. If I select a pic to send via mms directly from say picture viewer, I still get crappy small pic. From within mms it is fine.

Do you mean you didn't try the regedit because it says NokiaN97? It's fine, just put it in, it's just for your network's servers to have an idea of what MMS your phone can handle - NokiaN97 settings are good for the X1.
Hmm ... strange, it fixed the small mms images recieved on my x1.
(I will remove the cab from the previous post.)
Where has the cab gone?
try this cab i made and let me know if it works.
