I tried to change the registry with regeditSTG program.
I tried to change HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs and change key Cachesize from 16384 to 32768 but I didn't have 16384 just 0 and I changed it to 32768.
Now my phone does not work. It shows the windows mobile v 6.1 logo and nothing else.
What can I do about that?
ok, found the hard reset combo and performed it. Works good. Phew.
same issue, after the change, the phone wont continue booting up after soft reset.

This is really annoying me now, sometimes when i have done a reset and changed the reg using PHM it works fine, other times it works for 10 mins then starts again. Is there any software that causes this?
i have changed the key
HKLM>drivers\bulitin\nledmgr
dll - NLEDMgr.dll
to
xdll - nledmgr.xdll
this works for 10 mins and the reverts back. I have tried deleting the whole key which freezes the device on a s/reset. I have changed the values completley and the index to 0 but still the same problem. I have checked that the screen flash in notifications is turned off under everything!!!
Please someone help me with this, its doing my head in now
I've had a wing for the past 2 months. Over the past 2 weeks, the phone has been acting wierd. Occasionally, it will be working fine and I'll click the power button to turn off the screen (like I do all the time). Then when I go to turn on the phone, the screen stays black and it locks up and is unresponsive to any keys or sliding out the keyboard and I need to pull the battery. It's not the battery because it is fully charged.
The only 'hack' i've done to it since i've had is the pagepool thing. Any suggestions? I'm tempted to reset it/format it to remove any 'hacks' but not sure how to do so. I'm not sure the reset with the 1234 command will remove the pagepool hack
First of all, why are you pulling the battery? All you have to do to reset the phone is a "soft reset" ... which means putting the stylus into the little hole on the left side of the phone under the volume slider.
You should probably try to hard reset it. (hold in both soft keys while soft resetting) and yes, You'll have to set the pagepool back up.
Do keep in mind this will delete everything off your phone, so be sure to backup any important files before doing so (contacts, pictures..etc..)
I've had this happen to me a few times. I can say this though, when I flashed a new rom onto it it stopped.
If you don't want to flash, try looking in settings>system>key lock and set it to "Lock all buttons except Power button" or possible looking into some auto-locking programs, like S2U2 by A_C.
Good luck

heres a question, what did you set the pagepool to? If you set it to like 32 bajillion or 0, it won't work. also, some of the older pagepool changers don't work with the wm6.1 roms
My screen will be darker after 10 sec.
I can set this again to 5 min. and after a few on and offs it will be back at 10 sec.
This is very annoying!
I thought i had found the problem, but it wasn't.
HKCU/ControlPanel/Backlight/BatteryTimeout setting up to 300. This is 5 minutes. It counts in seconds. But this isn't working.
Please can anyone help me?? A lot more have this problem.
I have the same problem, anyone the solution?

yes, my backlight stay's also on for 1 minute(my setting)...hope the sound problem is also gone..
It is a bug in keypad locking
I think the backlight problem only occurs if you are using the keylock feature by pressing the end call button for a couple of seconds.
You can try it out yourself:
1) set your backlight settings to whatever you want and verify it works as intended.
2) Now just normally switch of your phone (not locking the keypad) by pressing the power button, switch back on and verify that the setting is still correct.
3) Then do a soft reset and again verify that the setting is correct.
4) Now lock the keypad by using the end call button (press a couple of seconds until locked).
5) Now unlock the phone and check the backlight settings: they are put back on the default values!! I guess it is a bug in the keypad lock functionality.
Btw, step 2) and 3) are just for verification, you may skip these to reproduce the bug.
Actually, if you use the lock feature of the device (for instance by enabling AutoDeviceLock in the registry, see tweak 18 in the stickied Diamond tweaks thread) the settings are also reset to the default values.
Is this the case for everybody? Or is it just me that it seems the locking feature contains bugs.
FYI...I had this issue from the start when I was running the Asia HK 1.34 ROM image. I flashed it using HardSPL and put the Europe 1.35 image on the device and have not had the problem since. All backlight values work normally as of now....I recommend this if your device is the HK ROM and you're having the issue. Not sure if it'll work for you, but it worked for me....
The solution is simply
You have to change DWORD LockLevel present in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight\LockLevel\ to 0 (zero)
And now your time of standby don't change anymore
I have installed:
Kaiser ROM ROMeOS_v31_1407
Radio 1.65.24.36
I have tried to restore a backup from my other Kaiser (I own 2 of them), using SPB2.0.
It went OK, until reboot...
Upon reboot the Kaiser asked, as usual, the password. I input it and, surprise, it is NO more accepted! I am 100% sure about my password, I never changed! I use the same password on both kaisers.
After several dozen attempts I decided to make an hard reset: second surprise: CANNOT HARD RESET!
I tried to push and hold the 2 soft buttons and then push the stylus into the reset hole, then wait...noway, the system reboot normally and then the screen with password input request appears.
I tried using the 2 soft buttons on the qwerty keyboard: same results...
Please help!

In addition: I tried mymobile (a small utility), but again, since the password is to be input, I cannot access my kaiser.
I tried to enter bootloader mode (push and hold power+camera buttons and push stylus into reset hole): the system show the 4 stripes screen and stops, no other messages show up, no way to go on.

Any suggestions?
thanks and waiting

you get the idea.
There is an option in SPB Backup to not restore the device password.
There is an options button before the restore where you can set this..
I also suggest you reflash the rom.
Have you tried contacting the SPB support folks about this? Maybe they've seen this issue before. They also have support message boards you could post in.
I've got exactly the same problem 0_o
As the title says, I want to be able to have the soft keyboard pop up as usual regardless if a hard KB is plugged in or not. I've been through all the settings I can think of and can't find anything. Oddly at one point the soft KB was popping up even though the hard KB was plugged in and both worked fine, but I haven't been able to recreate that after a reboot. I've done some searching and there seems to have been some people who have addressed this but they show some code but I don't know how to use it or where to put it.
Any help?
