Syncing Google Calendar on Tilt - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I just got my first Tilt (8925) so I'm kinda new to all the features and capabilities of this phone. As of right now, I use google calendar sync to sync with my outlook calendar and then use activesync via bluetooth to update my calendar on the tilt. Is there any way to have the calendar on my phone sync with my google calendar without being within range of my PC? In other words, say if I add an event to my google calendar from another computer, is there a way for the tilt to automatically update my phone calendar?
Thanks in advance!

I use Oggsync -- http://oggsync.com. You have to manually sync, but it is just 3 simple button pushes away.

Syncing my phone and PC via things like Google Calendar

I'm getting rid of Outlook and starting to use Sunbird with the Google Calendar extension but I'm a little confused on what I need to do from here to get everything working the way I want.
I'd like to be able to use Sunbird for my tasks and calendar and Thunderbird for my contacts. I want my PC to be able to sync all this data online (free or paid... not really important) and I'd like my phone to be able to sync all that data wirelessly. This way, If I mark a task as complete on my phone, when I log onto my computer it will show as complete as well. All of this, without needing to use ActiveSync by conntecting my phone to my PC.
So far I have Sunbird syncing with Google Calendar without any issues. I also know of a few apps for Windows Mobile that will sync the Pocket Outlook database with Google Calendar. This then, takes care of all my calendar needs.
But, what about my tasks and contacts? Google Calendar doesn't sync either of those so I'm confused on what I need to do to get all 3 things syncing.
I'm thinking maybe I need some sort of online service (other then Google Calendar) that allows the syncing of all 3 and also has an app for windows mobile.
With that said, can anyone point me in the right direction? What's the best (in your opinion) way to sync a windows based PC with some online service that also syncs with your phone wirelessly?
try oggsync
I successfully used GooSync to do that; worked fine.
Only issue is that it's a manual process from the phone.
BirdieSync, while not free seems to do the job really well. I have thunderbird with lightning calendar extension configured to sync with google calendar.

Different Methods to Synchronize Calendar, Contacts Over The Air

Since my university doesn't give us undergrads Exchange accounts, I theoretically have no way of synchronizing all of my PIM information (calendar, contacts, tasks, notes) over-the-air.
How can I still get this functionality?
CHEAT: Use mail2web's Free or Paid Hosted Exchange Service
I'm a little afraid that a SNAFU could occur and I'd lose all of my data. Since I only really modify all of this on one laptop (except for Google Calendar when I'm on the run or Funambol's web-access) I'm tempted not to pay the $15/mo fee. If someone could let me know of a way to back up all the data on the server, I wouldn't mind doing this.
OPEN SOURCE: Use Funambol
Thanks to SyncML (Wikipedia it) there is an open-source alternative. Using my.funambol.com, which is Funambol's free portal, I'm able to use connectors in Outlook and on my Fuze to synchronize all my PIM data.
However, reminders do not synchronize! I read on a forum somewhere that portals other than my.funambol.com do not have this problem, but I am still investigating.
PLEASE CONTRIBUTE IF YOU CAN BE OF ANY HELP!
I'm using the following setup :
Outlook on stationary PC at my home acts as "master" calendar.
Google Calendar acts as "on-the-road" calendar
PocketPC - "on-the-road" calendar when no computer is available.
Sync :
Outlook <-> Google Calendar : "Google Calendar Sync". Application installed on stationary PC - autosyncs every 20 mins. (self definable).
Google Calendar <-> PocketPC : "SyncMyCal".
Works perfect. If I make changes to my PocketPC calendar, my outlook at home is shortly after updated automatically.

NuevaSync
You could try NuevaSync. It is a free solution that will sync your Google contacts and calendar OTA ("over the air"), using the native Activesync connection.
Personally, I use Seven for synching my e-mail (Gmail and Google Apps) as well as my Gmail contacts. They are supposedly working on a Google Calendar sync as well. In the meantime, I am using Oggsync (which has a free and pro version).
I use my.funambol.com to OTA PIM's and to download PIM's OTA to outlook on my Laptop.

Sync Outlook Calendar to Froyo

Hi all,
Since Froyo now supports Exchange, is it now possible to sync Outlook calendar to Froyo? I'm talking about local computer Outlook calendar, not a corporate Exchange server.
I'm trying to sync my N1 to my outlook, just like how I use ActiveSync to sync my WM device to Outlook.
Do I still need a 3rd party apps for this?
Thanks in advance
Calendar Sync
I have always just used the Google Calendar Sync available directly from Google. It works very well and syncs everything to Google calendar and in turn pushes it to your N1. I was even able to install it on my corporate computer, which is rare.
darn..I was hoping it can be done natively.
As my corp policy doesn't allow some 3rd party apps (especially ones sending calendar info to a cloud).

Click to collapse
If you are using an Exchange server, then Froyo does sync both calendar, contacts, and email. However, there is a bug with all day events created via outlook - they appear off by one day on the phone.
actually.....beside calender...... how does froyo sync with tasks?
one of the major reason that I keep my X1 is because android can't sync with tasks in outlook.....
without full outlook support....it reallys hold me jumping from WM to android...

[Q] USB <-> MS ActiveSync for Android

After searching through the web for a while, I haven't found anything that works, so I turn to the last resort; XDA-Developers
Here's the story:
I work in a company that works with outlook 2002 (XP), Windows XP, Exchange and needlessly high levels of security. For example;
- Exchange is not accessible through web, unless you use GoodLink
- GoodLink accounts are given only to company phones
- Company phones are all WinMo.. and all suck
- The only way to sync without company phone is USB ActiveSync for WinMo
Now my issue: I have a Samsung Galaxy S and "I'm lovin' it". I don't want the company phone, neither do I want a WinMo phone.
Ergo: I want to sync my SGS Android phone using USB ActiveSync
Is there a possibility to create an app to spoof my pc into thinking it's a WinMo and to sync my appointments?
If your company uses Exchange (and by the sounds of it, I'm sure that they do) and offer exchange access via webmail, you can use this Samsung app to access your email.
This was a specific Samsung app that I have only seen on the Bell firmware for the I9000M. It adds "Samsung Email" and "Samsung IM." It does also sync contacts and calendars for Exchange.
Thanks for your answer! Unfortunately there is no webmail (access only through encrypted token).
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
You can use Companionlink (paid app and PC software) to sync via USB to your own Outlook on your PC.

Kinghorsey,
you deserve a kiss.
you are really a king.
that application solved my problem syncing with exchange email. it's awsome.
i got the sync to contacts also but still didn't sync my contacts. therefore, you mentioned calendar sync, but i didn't get this option when setting up my exchange account.
how can i get updates for these applications? anywhere to download them from Samsung, etc...
Sync Outlook + Gmail + Android
My answer is a little left field, I sync my work calendar with my phone.
I sync Outlook calendar with google calendar, once the office PC is synced with google I sync google with my phone calendar.
Office <-> Google <-> Phone
I use a mixture of google sync (Office 2007) for the office and Companionlink (Office 2010) for my home PC. I set up a one directional sync so that only the office data is synced to google so if there are any conflicts the office calendar wins, then set my Samsung Galaxy S to sync with google calendar.

[Q] 0x8503001C htc diamond

Hi:
Here again after a long time. I need your help.
Introduction:
I usually had sync problems with my HTC Diamond and my PC (XP, Active Xync 4.5.0), since it was bought some years ago. Mostly with the calendar.
After several problems I decided to use Google Calendar and sync my Diamnod and my computer with it (Diamond and computer does not sync calendar anymore but thru' Google Server). Installed Google Calendar Sync in my PC and my Diamnod connects also to the Google Server to sync the calendar.
Tasks and sync among PC and Diamnod.
And Diamond syncs Contacts with Google Server and PC.
Problem:
Today my Diamond is not synchronizing Tasks and Contacts with my PC. It does sync and if I only choose to sync Notes and Archives it has no problem but if I try to sync also Tasks and contacs I get an 0x8503001C error code. This morning worked perfect.
Solutions:
I tried to uninstall the Diamnod from the Active Sync, the Active Sync form the PC,... but nothing worked.
So its your turn, please help me.
Thanks and best regards, JM.
