Hi:
Here again after a long time. I need your help.
Introduction:
I usually had sync problems with my HTC Diamond and my PC (XP, Active Xync 4.5.0), since it was bought some years ago. Mostly with the calendar.
After several problems I decided to use Google Calendar and sync my Diamnod and my computer with it (Diamond and computer does not sync calendar anymore but thru' Google Server). Installed Google Calendar Sync in my PC and my Diamnod connects also to the Google Server to sync the calendar.
Tasks and sync among PC and Diamnod.
And Diamond syncs Contacts with Google Server and PC.
Problem:
Today my Diamond is not synchronizing Tasks and Contacts with my PC. It does sync and if I only choose to sync Notes and Archives it has no problem but if I try to sync also Tasks and contacs I get an 0x8503001C error code. This morning worked perfect.
Solutions:
I tried to uninstall the Diamnod from the Active Sync, the Active Sync form the PC,... but nothing worked.
So its your turn, please help me.
Thanks and best regards, JM.

Up until recently, I've been successfully using "Microsoft Active Sync 4.5", to sync my 8925 Tilt's data to my PC (running Windows XP w/service pack2). Now Active Sync keeps crashing at/near the very end of the syncing process. I removed Active Sync from my PC via add/remove programs, and also moved the previously synced folder (Tilt files) from my PC desktop onto another HD, and then reinstalled Active Sync from scratch. Unfortunately Active Sync continues to crash even after reinstall, including removing the Tilt to PC link partnership and reassigning a new one. The crash error message window reads: "ActiveSync Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Here is the list of items I've got selected for syncing:
contacts
calendar
tasks
notes
files
WorldmatePro
Autofile
Movie Guide
Spb Wallet
The syncing process appeared to hang when it attempts to complete syncing the 'files' and/or 'notes' section, so I subsequently removed both 'files' & 'notes' from the sync item list, but unfortunately, Active Sync continues to crash right after having successfully(?) syncing all items, as interestingly enough, a synced check mark appears next to all items before the program actually crashes.
Is Microsoft Active Sync the only program that can sync the phone's: contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, and backup/sync files to your PC? I also own Sprite backup (full version) but I don't believe its a syncing program like Active Sync is.
Anybody here experienced problems with ActiveSync 4.5?
I have lots of apps installed & have made a lot of tweaks on my Tilt, so short of performing a hard reset on my phone, are there any suggestions on how I can get Active Sync working (w/o crashing) again?
Thanks in advance for all help and input.

Try unchecking the "Enable advanced network functionality" box under the connections tab > USB to PC.
Make sure there are not any older versions of Microsoft office on your machine.
ActiveSync doesnt know where to look for the sync items if you havent COMPLETELY removed everything.
I had a similar problem, had an update from office 2000xp to 2007 and it wouldnt sync.

Many ppl have multiple versions of Office installed as a result of trial versions that were installed at the factory the never got removed, and other factors. Remove all versions of Office and all components. Then install only the version you intend to use in perpetuity.
Need help !!!
I have a HTC TYTN II and I am unable to sync outlook calender with my phone. I use Windows XP. I also tried syncing using the message server option but that also does not work. I am able to sync tasks and notes. While I run sync it shows that the calender is sunchronising but I dont see any off my meetings. Please someone help!!!!
Check your settings. I know, blatently obvious. Is it syncing and you can't see it or is it not syncing?
Edit: In Activesync check Tools- Options and make sure there is a check mark in Calendar.
The calender is checked. When I sync it shows as syncing and it also shows the number of appointments in my outlook calender as being synced to my phone but when I open my calender (mobile) nothing appears.
Please Please help. I am missing meetings !!!!
Back it up. Remove the Activesync partnership (Delete Mobile Device). Create a new partnership.
I just got my first Tilt (8925) so I'm kinda new to all the features and capabilities of this phone. As of right now, I use google calendar sync to sync with my outlook calendar and then use activesync via bluetooth to update my calendar on the tilt. Is there any way to have the calendar on my phone sync with my google calendar without being within range of my PC? In other words, say if I add an event to my google calendar from another computer, is there a way for the tilt to automatically update my phone calendar?
Thanks in advance!
I use Oggsync -- http://oggsync.com. You have to manually sync, but it is just 3 simple button pushes away.
Hi,
I have a laptop running WinXP Sp3 office 2007.
Trying to sync with my diamond touch with Active Sync (AKA - "AS") It fails to sync some of the contacts while it syncs the rest of them... with no particular reason !
Can anyone give me a better sync software than the carapy MS AS ?
Thanks.
Daniel
Do you use iContact or another Software like this?
Try one: Save your last Folders of synchronisation.
Then turn it of - everything.
The do synchronisation again (and so without contacts).
then activate your former things to synchronize, with contacts, too.
I had the same problem - and this worked for me.

i searched the internet and couldn't find any solution..
is it possible to sync 2 (or more) calendars with my wm6.5 calendar? this can be 2 calendars from outlook (my primary calendar and an internet calendar) or 2 calendars from google calendar.
i don't care about the calendars getting merged or so. all calendars merged into one calendar is good enough!
thanks in advance and sorry if it was already posted before
Is it possible to sync multiple calendars/contacts? I would like to have my personal calendar and my group calendar and possibly another

Would it not be possible to have outlook on pc sync to one calendar and pocket oulook on the device to sync to another? That way you'd atleast have two. Then there's OggSync which you can use to sync to google calendar. Google it and you'll find it if you wanna try.
Anyways, there's my two cents, hope it's to some good
i have 3 PCs and 2 laptops and of course the X1. i want my calendar and contacts sync-ed among them all and are up to date.
1. Install Google Calendar Sync on all PCs and Laptops (http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=89955)
2. Set phone to sync with Google (http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138636&topic=14299)
3. One of the laptop is what i bring to work, it is set to GCalendar sync 2 ways. Changes to laptop and uploaded to Google Calendar.
One main work PC at home is sync 2 ways too.
A windows 7 PC is only for viewing when i do not want to switch back and forth between machines. For viewing only, GCalendar is sync one way (GCalendar to Outlook only).
X1 syncs 2 ways. Just know which machines you have set to sync 2 ways and do your changes there. If not, like in my case, if I do changes or updates to my Windows 7 machine's outlook calendar, they will not be reflected across all machines. It will be useful for things i wish to keep out of my work calendar.
Google's sync that they mention works on Exchange protocol syncs IMMEDIATELY. It is very fast so no meetings will be missed even if you set it 5 mins in advance.
Initial syncs caused some problems for me, multiple entries for yearly events like Birthday or weekly events. Manually exported them out from the work PC and as a PST with contacts and calendar choosing NOT to export duplicate, created new Outlook profile, reimported everything, same, DO NOT IMPORT duplicates option, let it sync once more and all's fine.
how can i set up my phone, so that it sync only in 1 way? is that possible?
