Hi all,
Hope you can help and thanks in advance,

first time only read then instruction quckley and done it all wrong and the phone died. sent it back and go another one, tryed again and same problem.
this time i tryed to install hardspl but kept getting a white screen so look up how to get around that and got jumpspl on and then hardspl. all going fine so far, then i removed the simlock all went fine. then i installed nukespl-2.47 that started off fine then froze i left it a while to see if it would carry on, i soft reset it and that where it all went wrong and now i remember that was the same program i was using last time. now all my phone does is show a green light after i remove the battrie and power on, nothing on the screen and no lights on the keypad. i hope some one can help dont think i will get another one lol.

if this was your phone would you quit that easily?
Well, if you can still get into bootloader mode your fine. I'd reflash to the original htc rom and use a different spl, something safe like hard spl ver.1.1, never heard of anyone using nuke spl
Yes, confirm if you can get into bootloader by holding down the camera button while pushing the stylus in the reset hole. If done correctly, you should be at a tri-colored screen. Now, just flash back the original ROM and you should be set
What is NukeSPL? Never heard of it. It sounds bad. I never remember running a NukeSPL to HardSPL my Kaiser.
Never seen a Nukespl anywhere, and apparently Google either. Where did you get that from?
I don't even know the definition of "brick". Everyone (not everyone but most people) say they bricked their phone when they are simply stuck in bootloader. l
In my eyes a bricked device is one that doesn't turn on because you fried the board, resistors, capacitors, or whatever within...
sorry nuespl not nuke from this site.and no cant get into bootloder or anything just a green led on top of phone.
Just to confirm, you have a blank screen upon booting with a green light, that means it's still "alive". Getting into bootloader mode is done by holding the camera button and the power button then clicking the soft reset button on the bottom of the device, that should give you a tri colored sceen, from there, plug in the usb to your laptop or desktop and flash the official htc rom...and Never use Nuke spl Ever again, sounds like a poorly coded spl or even malware

You need to quickly learn that something meant for the TITAN will brick your KAISER!! If you look the thread is for Titan ppc so if you ran that on a Kaiser it will and did brick the phone.
Only use stuff that is developed for your particular PPC. You need to do much more reading before doing anything that can damaged your hardware.
umm from the site you showed it seems that it was meant for the Titan.. at least thats what i got from looking at the pictures and posts..
arr i have the tytn 2 thought they were the same phone. how dumb of me, so its total dead then. will have to do more reading then and wait for the 3rd phone to turn up. 3rd time lucky lol.
I had a similar experience with my Kaiser a week ago and thought it was dead, just keep trying to get it into tri colored bootloader mode by holding the power and camera buttons then holding the soft reset button, it didn't work for me the first or even tenth time before it shut down, but once I got it into bootloader and reflashed, It's alive
will try that got till monday before i can send it back.
I just want to remind people that Camera button should be fully depressed. It have two stages of pressed, Half-Press and Full-Press

Hi. I tried to flash my kaiser to new Dutty's wm 6.1 rom (had Dutty's v3 before so i had hardSPL) and after the rom update process completed my kaiser died , screen is always black no matter i connect it to charger or push power, is there any possibility to bring my phone back 2 life?
Have you taken the battery out?
Have you tried flashing from SD card?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=336158&highlight=flash+from+card
Worked for mine when i bricked it.
i have taken battery out , it wont help. also flashing from sd card works only when u can actually power on the device and i cant do it. name of my rom wasnt RUU_signed.nbh it was : Ruu_Signed_Duttys_WM6.1_5.2.19716_1.64.08.21.nbh maybe thats the reason of error
Well did you try the special key sequence to try to turn it on?
special key sequence? U mean both softkeys and stylus into reset hole?
Can you get it to the HSPL screen?
hold camera button and stylus into reset hole?
If you can to there you can reflash it using the sc card method.
3. Plug the card into the phone, then enter boot loader mode by pressing down the Power and Camera buttons simultaneously, and using the stylus at the same time to press the RESET button at the left side. Continue pressing the two buttons for a few seconds after pressing and releasing the reset button until the bootloader screen appears. (taken from Wiki)

not the soft keys
thanx but it wont work, if i could enter bootloader i would just reflash the rom, but i cant get my phone on, screen is all the time black. if i plug in a charger there is no charging led too.
Ok, so your saying you tried it and it doesn't work?
im saying this doesnt work because my phone is totally dead. i cant get any response, it just wont turn on.
ok I'm taking it that you didn't try that sequence because you won't say that you tried it.
Hell no he/she ain't tried it. Probably has no idea what you are telling him to do.
Well Belizibub told him, I just started reading between the lines and noticed that he never admitted to trying it.
I love your avatar Tater.
can't all read, he can't turn it on, so how is he suppose to enter the bootloader or flash it from the sd card.
how come i try to enter bootloader , the phone is D E A D, it doesnt respond on any key cominations. i cant see even blank screen, nothing, it just wont turn on.
take the battery out and plug it into the charger, if a red light comes on thats a good thing if not then you probably have whats known as a "bricked kaiser" and sent it in for repairs or go buy a new one and save that one for parts.

LOL, not even worth it.
So let me ask this, Why was this thread started? Was someone seeking help? Has someone provided the possibility of help? Do you think that the devils friend didn't understand that to this requester of help, that his phone appeared to be dead? Or is it possible the Devils right hand man knows something that the requester of help doesn't know and kindly attempted to share it with him, just to have the secret unlock code ignored.
Try up up down down left right left right a b select start.
That will fix your phone.
ps, what I'm getting at is if you haven't tried it then you need to try it. The special key config could possibly turn the phone on for you.
OK, now I see this same conversation going on in 2 different forums by the same person. Here and in Dutty's latest 6.1 release.
I noticed you are an Orange user. I have seen Multiple Orange users trying to flash radios to their phone and locking them up. I suggest looking/searching for one of those threads and see if they have a solution.
Hello Everyone,
I have a BA and I want to flash it but the power button dose not work..opened it up and found that the mechanism under the button has dropped and hanging on by a thread. The device works but I need the power button to get into bootloader mode.
So the question is this: is there a way to get into bootloader without using the powerbutton?

First, some advice. Several people have asked this question and it has been responded to in other threads. On forums, ALWAYS try and use the search function before asking. It might save you some time, and it also may give you further ideas or solutions to the problem. Now on to the response I gave someone else last year. Read the whole post.
IT IS POSSIBLE!
BUT DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGED OR FRIED PDAs
I know because I myself have done it on an I-mate (Himalaya). It took some trial and error but I am now running WM6. In my case though, I had to completely remove the power button from the device. The previous owner dropped it on its head, and I got it for free, unfortunately most of the top is missing, including the power button.
SO, on to how I did it. I took a paper clip (metal) and put it about 1cm down, slightly to the right of where the power button used to connect to the motherboard. Make sure you have turned your XDA/IMATE on before doing this. You'll find that when you find the right area, your device will turn off, or the screen will go dark (like holding the power button for a second or giving it a quick tap).
If you manage to hold it there for the right period of time, while pressing the other bootloader buttons, then you will be able to enter bootloader.
This took me close to an hour to get just right, on both occasions I have done it, but it eventually worked.
Note: I have no idea how exactly this worked, but it did. My IMATE was useless without me updating the rom, so I had no worry about frying it if I did something wrong, that is why I was OK with playing around with its insides. BEWARE that you MAY DO DAMAGE to the device.
Good luck.
If you have no clue just don't post!!
First off I have searched here and the internet as a whole and your suggestion didn't work! I have taken apart and modified to add a camera to my working BA ( yeah I got 3 of them) so "..playing around with its insides. BEWARE that you MAY DO DAMAGE to the device.." is no worry of mine. Second off, if you had taken notice I have been on this board since Feb 2007 and I have only had to ask 3 questions, which means my searching skills might just be working on some level.
Maybe I should have been more specific: is there a software boot loader for the sx66?

I lifted this directly form another site I have subscribed to

I am having a terrible time getting my 8925 to boot. When I attempt to soft reset, I get a black screen, green power light comes on, usb is "not recognized" by pc. It appears to be bricked but I don't believe it actually is considering every once in a while on the soft reset, I get the att splash screen and it freezes on the next windows screen. I have tried everything and quite honestly I'm about ready to try the 1985 Nintendo method and beat the hell out of the sides of it and maybe blow in it then reboot. Before I do that, I wanted to see if maybe any of you guys could help me out. Im not quite a newbie, but also not quite an expert. Hard resetting is no good, nothing happens but the black screen, green light. Reflashing is no good as I cant even get into my bootloader.
I am using stock ATT Rom and HardSPL 1.1 by Olipro. I'm at my wit's end with this thing and any help provided would be appreciated more than you know.
P.S.: I have run countless searches before posting and nothing posted seems to work for me, the lucky one.

Then you need to use the stylus and softkeys way to hard reset. Read up on the wiki/phones manual as to how you do this as it's easy to not get it right and press the wrong keys (which will result in nothing)

I have tried every which way literally hundreds of times, still nothing...frustrating..i really like this phone and want to continue to use but honestly I'm not far from an as-is eBay auction.
p.s.: thank you for your reply
Hello guy,
After flashing new rom (official release) on my Blackstone, works fine for a month, after start the home screen being black like the phone is off but he was not. I try first hard reset from the button located next to the sim card, splash screen appears after went black again. I did not realized is a problem with the screen and I perform a hard reset (volume up+down & power up) . The phone perform the hard reset because I heard the power up sound, plus for about one minute I have the screen on, asking me to make the screen line up. During the screen line up the screen went black again and no way to see it showing something again. The problem is in active sync the phone is not recognized anymore, I can't flash it again (I try run RUU but give a error message to connect the phone) plus I'm going blind without seeing anything on the screen. My question is there is any way to solve this problem.
Thank you in advance.
Although screen is black, you should still be able to get into bootloader by normal procedure (turn off device, hold vol down & then press power on). Once in bootloader try flashing (you may wanna try returning phone to stock rom as it sounds like your screen has become loose from motherboard and needs fixed under warranty).
To return to stock rom follow guidelines at bottom of first post in this thread.
Still not working
Thank you for the quick reply, I manage to flash it again with the original rom, but nothing happen, the screen is still black. Probably as you said is something wrong with the display. Another problem is I don't have any more warranty; maybe there is a solution to solve the problem?
The Blackstone is out for less than one Year. Your should really have warranty. oO
Yes you wright but I’m 10000 km from home where who knows where the receipt is. Still hopping there is a solution, maybe I can fix it somehow. By the time I get home the waranty is gone. Thanks.
open it up, and attach the ribbon cable back in, just take your time if you need the htc touch hd service manual, i have it. if you wish to use it let me know i will post it here.
That is going to be a big help because I never open up a phone, I watch couple of times some videos on you tube but that’s all about. Anyway I have to open it because I flash it with 3 different roms and still the screen is black. Even when flashing does not showing anything on the screen. I remember for my old blackjack I had a app called My Mobile to see the screen on your desktop I install that I so the splash screen , the align the screen but I couldn’t go more taping the screen of the phone by looking to the desktop.
Thank you for your help and I waiting for the service manual.
Thanks’ one more time.
You can get the service manual here: http://htcdriver.com/index.php?page=htc-blackstone-touch-hd-service-manual

Thank you,
First I have to find a place where I can buy the tools, probably in couple of days I let you know about the evolution of the HTC operation.
You dont have the possibility to contact youre retailer and require a copy of the receipt?
Since the phone got an IMEI number, you could probably just send them the phone and they'll see that you still have warranty on it.
I'd call them before sending the phone, also.. don't forget to restore the spl etc..
I have a really strange problem, which never happened to me before in allmost 2 years of flashing ROMs.
Last night I've flashed G10's Evo v5.30 and set it up the way I like it. Then I connected my phone to the loader and went to sleep.
This morning I try to wake up my phone, but it doesn't respond, the screen won't go on (and sometimes you can feel a vibration when pressing a certain button or so, but that won't happen either.)
I tried to soft reset the phone a dozen times, but it won't get past the "smart mobility" screen with the red numbers in the bottom right corner.
I can't perform a hard reset, because that screen just won't load (I just get the smart mobility screen again), but I seem to be able to get in the bootloader.
I'm going to flash the same ROM again now, but hopefully someone can tell me what happened here, because it just looks like my phone whiped itself entirely. (instant task29 :S)

also had this twice with my own rom:-o
never found the reason why it happend though
as for the hard reset part you can do one
its the same way of going into bootloader but with the addition of pressing the volume up to at the same time with volume down

this has happened to me many times, mostly on some chefs roms, but i suspect its the chefs twaek and my apps config that does something. Not sure, but i think a stock or task 29 helped a lot since i dont experience this no more
Thanks for your answers! I've got my phone all up and running again, but it was a bit of a scare to me.
I usualy perform a task 29 every 3 or 4 times I install a new ROM.
@miniterror, I know how to hard reset, I've done it about a million times with this phone allready haha, but this time it really didn't work. Lucky the normal bootloader functioned like it should and made me able to re-install everything!
