Hey guys, first of all great forum. Anyway I was wondering if any of you guys get a small creaking sound when you tilt your screen up and down? Its really sad but these things kinda bother me. thanks
I don't, my tilts up fine. Your hinges could be getting rusty.
anyones tilt doesnt stay tilted??? =) like u tilt it up and then it will go back down..
no sounds
get it checked
is the mechanism adjustable as this may help....I would like to adjust mine because when I hold the case when it's closed it will go slilghtly ajar and seems like it should be tighter. Does anyone know how to adjust these?
Ok These are Springs that cause all this, the creaking, the ajarness.
And If I can offer some advise. If you do go trying to replace this part, which you can do. Please wear eye protection.
Lol replacing those would probably be hard and not a good idea, Tytn II looks to have a pretty complicated body.

LOL, so funny. I recently received a replacement Tilt, and it had the creaking like you mentioned. I thought I was being crazy, but it really bothered me, so I called them and had them send a new replacement out. The new one no longer creaks, and
I feel much better

Yeah, mine got really loose and wouldn't stay up, and it was also really sloppy, i.e. the screen would wobble back and forth when it was open. As it turned out I was able to fix it myself by popping the unit open, and inside the body there are 4 screws (once you get to them) that hold the hinges in and control their tension. I tightened the screws and have had no problems since. I got the disassembly instructions from the Wiki, they were in Russian but the pictures were explicit enough.
Hello all,
I'm new to site, very nice place
Anyway today I dropped my tilt on concert, fell like 4ft and landed flat on its back.
Now when i turn on i can here it start up but just white....I tried calling it but it shuts it self off after starting up.
So my question is do you think its screen or something else???
And my sister has a Wing that she does not use any more (its a bit worn) but screen still works< do they take the same screen?
So I could try that one before buying a new one..... Thanks!!!!!!!!
no one has a opinion?
Like I mentioned on the HTCTilt site, go to www.ppctechs.com for outstanding repair service. They have repaired both of my Tilts and they are really excellent.
It could be just a loose ribbon cable...
Hey all
I'm thinking of getting a Pure, because they are much cheaper right now than the D2s, but I really prefer the Diamond 2 looks. I've read here that there's an issue with the Pure's antenna not fitting on the Diamond 2's housing, so I was wondering: Is it possible to purchase a D2 housing that comes with an antenna, since I just know that there aren't any spare D2 antennas for sale? Or is there any way to adapt the Pure's antenna to the D2's housing? I would even settle for being able to transplant it into a T-Mobile MDA V housing, if that would work better than the D2's housing...
Has anybody else tried this? Is it at all possible? Thanks
Not sure about your specific question, but you should read about all of the digitizer issues with the TD2. The Pure does not suffer from this issue for the most part. Just my $.02 worth.

I've read that the TD2 digitizer is oversensitive and that can lead to its loosing functionality over time if it's kept without a cover rubbing against jeans pockets etc, is this what you mean? In any case, the options I currently have, due to my budget mostly, would mean that I would forcibly have to purchase a new housing/digitizer ($30-$40 extra, but still better than any TD2's price) for my phone anyways, I would just much rather get a TD2 or even a MDA V housing/digitizer to replace the Pure's...

Search on Newton Rings. Digitizer fails for no apparent reason.
Yes you could replace it if you could find the antenna + housing, they will work together perfectly. I was going to do it myself if it weren't for the digitizer problems, but who knows if it will happen to you. My recommendation: get a hard case

Thank you... I guess it will be extremely hard to find someone else that has done this before then. Any ideas as to where to find the antenna for the Pure that would make it fit into the TD2 housing??
I've been looking for a long time now for a TD2 antenna, and have found nothing. You could always buy a real TD2 and switch out the motherboard, but the cost would be pretty high

LOL If I could afford a real TD2, this would all be a moot point anyways Thanks, man, as discouraging as the news is, it's better than wasting time in an impossible task.
Say, would I have the same issues if I were to try to transplant a Pure into a T-Mobile MDA V Housing as with the TD2 housing?
The Simple answer is no.
You won't have so much luck with this; you will have alot of problems. If you want the looks if a td2, just buy one. Otherwise, don't even bother. You might want to wait until the td3 comes out someday lol
Hi Folks,
I need a bit of advice - I want a plastic (NOT stock steel) stylus for my XPERIA X1. Does anyone know a supplier?
The reason: I have been using my stylus for some months now, and it starts to corrode. This corrosion makes the stylus 'rough', which annoys me.
Ideas or recommendations, anyone?
I've been using my stylus daily for about 18 months, and there are no signs of aging.
I think it's actually stainless steel - maybe you just need to buy a replacement.
I think you'd have a big risk of a plastic one breaking off
Look on ebay or something
Hi,
I am on my second one in 15mo...and the third keyboard mat also.
Stupid sweaty hands...
Hello, I'm a new X1 user. I've read that X1 has faulty keyboard. Is it happened to all X1? How to prevent it? Thank you
So far, yes. I found all my friends X1 has the same problem after about 3 months. I suggested you don't use it. But If you insisted, you can press the keyboard with your metacarpal and fingers before sliding in the X1 keyboard.
The main problem with the X1's keyboard is that it eventually gets dirty INSIDE the keyboard after several months of use, so you'll have to take the phone apart yourself and clean it or have SE do it and it'll be good as new.
worst keyboard
i m abt to hating my x1 for bad keyboard
Yep pretty much the case for all X1 phones. Had to clean mine as well.
I was just wondering, what if we applied one of those transparent screen/body protectors on top of the keyboard? I saw this guy have it done to his Xperia but back then i wasnt interested in the X1 so i had no idea about the keyboard issues or anything. But yeah, im guessing that would indeed prevent dust from going inside?
applying protector on keyboard won't work also.. the keyboard is not getting dirty because of dust, but because of some kind of glue inside the keyboard.. the glue melts because of the phone's heat, and stick into the keyboard membrane..
and also, maybe dew can make dirty, too.. dew enters when the phone getting cold..
wow, thanks for the info, i never knew thats what happenened. So glue thing... is it stickied to what part of the phone exactly? is there no way to replace it or remove it ?

just go to the SE service centre, or professional technician, clean the keyboard.. you just need to clean the melted glue.. the melted glue sticks in the keyboard membrane
