recently I installed Dutty's Diamond ROM and overall it works flawlessly.
My problem is that almost every day, sometimes few times a day my sound profile gets changed (start-settings-sounds and notofications-notification tab)
I set up almost everything to have sound and vibrations, but something happens and everything gets unchecked...
so after a while I can't hear nor see a messages, reminders, MMSes, just nothing.
I have to go to settings and redo everything.
does anyone have idea what may cause that??

well this is happening to me as well with the ATT stock rom from ATT..
ITS GETTING ME VERY AGGRAVATED
so which version(s) of Opera should i have on this phone so that this doesnt happen.

is anyone else experiencing slow text input? i am using threaded sms (default one) and when i type texts, its laggy, words will be delayed.
yes, i have also this experience with the original htc rom (dutch).
sometimes if i am fast with typing, some letters will be skipped... very annoying, is there an solution for it?

i agree should be in the appropriate post .. but for what its worth, this happened to me only when i used an at&t base rom on my kaiser.
so that makes it a non dutty problem as well.
I travel all over the country with work, and have noticed that depending on the location and network speed the keyboard lag would increase or decrease. Out in nowhere NV last week, it was almost impossible. Today in Chicago it kept up with me.
I haven't installed any software or made any changes since the first day of install a few weeks ago.

this is on all 6.1 roms.. i notice it on dk's rom too.. i think its a 6.1 rom bug/problem.. even the people who claim to fix it i still notice a lag so ur not alone
Brothers, i can see many post talking about the time lag issues when playing mp3, there will be a 1 second time lag every 3-4 mins while playing with pocket music or windows media, is there any registry to control this?

Im not sure what you mean by time lag, but I experience split second pausing.. also about every 3-4mins.

I also experience this. I have the 1.35.00.00 NLD ROM which came with my Diamond from the store. I'm using the integrated player in TouchFlo3d and every 3-4 minutes there is a short pause..
I experienced this on stock ROM, but I installed the TLR ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402261) yesterday, and haven't noticed it yet - was playing music almost non stop at work all day.
Not sure if its the ROM, or if I've just gotten used to the lag.
Time lag
when playing mp3 with pocket music, for example 3mins, it will suddenly have some kind of pause, i read the post in this forum and found that its happened for some kind of HTC machines, and they do have the registry hack, but i tried and reset the diamond, it doesn't work...
So it's still make me flustrated.
Me too, it drives me mad. I've tried it with various ROMs including TLR 1.37 and it still does it!

I've flash the 1.37.707 WWE rom to see whether the time lag problem may occur and found that its even worse than 1.34.

I've experienced this problem with stock ROMs and both versions of TLR. I'm coming from an iPhone background and fact that I can't seamlessly listen to music w/out the split second pauses is very annoying. I really hope HTC are going to fix this (in addition to all the other annoyances and bugs) sometime soon.
I looked in the forums before posting this and only found one or two threads that sort of helped. lol.
Long story short, I have tried ROM after ROM after ROM, the first few weeks they all seem fine, but 2-3 weeks after a new flash they all turn flaky. Since I use my phone for SMS, MMS, email, internet, and obviously the phone itself, I need something that can encompass all those features but REMAIN stable. My biggest issue I usually run into is my constant switching between landscape and standard mode causes my phone to lock up and my screen to go all white or criss-cross and stick showing both landscape and standard modes about 5-6 times a day. This has happened on every ROM I have tried.
I need a WING ROM that has all those features, a decent page pool size, 6.1 based (or has threaded SMS), and preferably does NOT have the cube lol. I am not a fan. If anyone has recommendations for me, please let me know and either provide a link or the version and author of the ROM you recommend (so I know what to search for). It's been awhile since I have been on this site, or any ppc site, so I am not up to date on what's the most currently cooked ROMs.

Whatevr rom you have the phone will go slow while switcing from Portrait to Landscape mode, its slow when you are on the stock rom. The only adive is to just download whatevr programs u need if u want more, or try to cook your own rom. Open Touch 4 is very stable and is a very good rom, although i dont understand what u mean by they become flaky after 2-3 weeks
I know the switch is usually slow, the speed isn't the issue, it's the fact that my phone will completely lock up and require a soft-reset if I switch between views too often/quickly. Aside from what comes stock on Open Touch 4.0, I have only installed iContact, Yahoo2Go!, and Slick.
As far as the become flaky part... after a few weeks of use it seems the performance of my phone takes a HUGE dive. Things start locking up far more often. I will start getting odd messages/error messages I never had pop up earlier (and I don't install anything new or mod the phone in any way after I flash to a new ROM and install the 3 previously mentioned programs), the phone will randomly reset itself, my email and MMS will stop working, it will have sudden issues with EDGE (and when I call T-Mobile they say everything is fine), etc etc. lol. I think my phone just may be possessed! I was actually thinking of switching back to the stock TMO ROM and just upgrading. I don't know if that would work better for me or not. lol.

take the phone and go to the latest tmboile rom that was released. this should resolve any minor issues that may have happened during previous flashes. Next try itspapadiamond rom. it is not HTC home based and is battery status based. It has so far been the most stable rom i have been using. You must also remember that messages take up space on the phone and if you are not deleting the messages you will inevitably fill the phones memory up with texts and also clearing your browsing history every week is also helpful. i filled my phone up with that garbage and it ran TERRIBLE. third what programs do you have running in the backround when your switching from portrait to landscape.
The only things I have running usually are Messaging and ActiveSync. Do you have the links for the lastest TMO ROM and the itspapadiamond ROM? If not, I will find them. I just don't know if there are specific version numbers and if so, those would be useful so I don't come across a thread saying it's the latest ROM and it in fact... be outdated lol.

use the RC5 rom - its more stable than the RC5.3...

hi .. i am using the 02 xda diamond and a severe problem showed up yesterday : i tried to call someone but he couldnt hear my voice when i was speaking, then he called me back and :
1.) the phone didnt ring, same for SMS
2.) he couldnt hear my voice, again (mic was on )
so i made a soft reset and everything was fine. phone ringed, i could phone .. today : its the same like yesterday. is this a known bug or something ? i didnt change the rom. the only think i worked on was the file cache using advanced config 2.x.
Well, first things first, I'd download the new advancedconfig 3.0 and use the "restore all settings" option, see if that fixes it. Then you can at least know the problem is in one of your settings, and be careful reapplying tweaks. Not a known problem as far as I know, haven't seen it before. Good luck.
Poor Microphone Quality

I am having the same problem with my Diamond. Whether I call or recieve a call, I can hear everything fine but the sound quality (my voice) for the other person is almost unbearable. It sounds like I'm standing in a wind tunnel...
I've applied the tweaks to speed up Touch Flo 3D...
Are there any tweaks to improve microphone quality?

I would try a backup and after this an hard-reset. If this does not work, you could try to record something with the voice-recorder. If this does not work to, it could be microphone-related - perhaps something, which blocks the little hole for the mic at the bottom of the device?

Ive had that several times since the original XDA, official ROMS mostly, anyhow, usually after updating it with something new it stops and for that reason ive only ever had it happen a few times on different XDAs

I have the XDA Ignito & have updated to Dutty's ROM. I have the same issue with several poeple complaining that me voice cuts out & the have to piece together the conversation.
I am going to ring o2 tommorow & try to send it back as I am fed up with the battery life which doesn't last 12 hours & now this!
I have the same problem, got my telephone 3 days ago and people are complaining, it sounds like i am in a very windy place.
I got the Touch Pro telephone.
Has there come any good solution to this problem ? Or is the only thing to delivery it back an get a Nokia instead ?
I have the same problem with my Diamond too
Whenever I call or if somebody calls me they can barely hear me. I have to really talk very loud or speak directly to the microphone.
Test using the Voice Recorder and the results are the same.
Got my Touch Pro fixed now i think... All it seems to be was a Hard Reset. The sound is perfect now after the reset.

I installed Manilla 2D on my Kaiser two weeks ago. I'm really happy with it, except that I experience a few freezes.
These freezes were happening often at the begining. I disabled the automatic update feature into the weather forecast widget. Then, the freezes quantity decreased a lot !
But they are still there. They appear randomly, whatever I do. They last about 5 seconds, and they appear about once every 10 minutes (but it does not happen when using IGO for hours, for exemple ...).
I'm using the original HTC 6.1 ROM with hard SPL 3.29.
I had no freezes with this ROM before installing Manilla 2D, so I'm sure my problem does not come from my ROM or hard SPL.
Does someone know where does my problem come from ?

I was getting freezes on one of the roms I tried (I can't remember which one) and I fixed it by changing my radio. It might be worth experimenting a bit with that.
I didn't change my ROM, I just installed Manilla 2D on my already in use ROM. Before installing Manilla, I had no freezes at all. So I don't think my problem comes from the radio. There must be something wrong with Manilla 2D somewhere (a parameter or something like that)...
Mine freezes all the time, but I have Sock ATT 6.1 ROM. Most of the freezes happen when scroll to the mail tab.

Well, I just found that my freezes only happen when I leave the flight mode ... So finally it may be related to the radio ... I will try to change it but I still do not understand why this problem did not exist before installing Manilla 2D !

OK, so here are the first results of my tests :
my original radio version was 1.65.17.56.
I did load the radio version 1.71.09.01.
For now about 15 minutes, my Kaiser did not freeze at all !

EDIT : well, in fact I still have some freezes, but a lot less, and when they appear they only last around 1 second. So it's a lot better, but not perfect ... I still would be glad to know where do these freezes come from ...
EDIT 2 : after now 24 hours of use, no more freezes at all ... So it looks like the radio version upgrade was the solution.
