Hey.
I'm using missing sync to synchronize my Diamond with my macbook. It's set up to synchronize a playlist with itunes, and it works well.
But all the album covers are totally screwed up on the diamond? They're right in iTunes but on the Diamond, it's the cover of the first song, on barely all albums.
Hope you understand! Otherwise tell me

I have a T-mobile wing, I'm using WMP 10 on my laptop that I sync up my playlists thru WMP sync. I have also taken the SD card out and sync up thru my card reader on my desktop. I always get the songs sync'd to my card, but the "playlist" is not there. I got ONE on my phone on accident, don't have a clue how I did it, haven't been able to do it again.
What am I doing wrong? This seems like it should be a pretty easy thing to do and it's getting VERY frustrating.
Thanks
Dump WMP and use the HTC AudioManager. You won't have to worry about a playlist since it gives you a very "ipod" like interface. Unless you really want the playlist, in that case, unfortunately, I can't help you as I don't use my phone for music much and thus never bother setting up playlists.
Since a few days ago, when I sync music onto my Diamond (I use WMP since I convert my MP3s to WMA), the album tracks are always mixed up. My previous syncs kept the album listings intact, but now they're random.
Does anyone know what causes this problem and if there's any solutions? Thanks.
EDIT: Does the TF3D Music Tab follow music tags? I'm assuming it isn't for some of my music since I have it properly tagged for track listings.
Track order...
I use WMA as I've always used Media Player when ripping my CD's to my PC. You're right, the tracks do get mixed up with HTC's music player (it may be the tags, I don't know... perhaps they assume we're all MP3 users!).
The best way to sync them (in my opinion), is to first create a new playlist within Windows Media Player (name it the same as the album), drag whichever album it is you want on your device into the playlist (the right hand pane in media player), then drag the playlist you've just created into the sync window (rather than the album itself). This will keep your tracks in the order they're meant to be in.
You may also need to rename the album art on your device because Windows Media Player sometimes calls the art Album_Art{blah, blah, blah...}, which admitedly seems a very descriptive file name for what it is, but HTC's Music Player won't recognise it, so the album art needs to be renamed 'Folder'.
Sorry for the long-winded answer. Hope it helps.
Thanks for the tip. Seems to help.
I still wonder what causes this to happen, gets annoying.
I had the same problem with my albums. I found out that TF3D sorts the music files by their track number tag.
So check your track tag, and number the tracks the way you want them to be sorted.
Hi, does anyone know how to resolve this issue properly? I mean, How to list and play WMA album tracks on Diamond correctly by track number? Because for MP3 it works fine, why for WMA not? File names and Tags are ok and works perfect in WMP, thanx for infos...
Hi
In the diamond 1 you could have all my albums in touchflo player, and scroll trough them, but i can only 1 song at time on diamond 2, what iam i doing wrong ? cant we have all albums ?
The TF3D music tab displays only your "Now Playing" songs. If you are playing through a single album, you will only see that one album cover on-screen. It is NOT like the iPhone's coverflow where you can flip through the album covers to select what to play next.
If you create a playlist containing say ten songs, each from a different album, and then start playing that, then you will see on the screen the first three covers and you can flip through them one at a time.
This is pretty useless and I don't recall ever flipping through the covers in that way except when I want to go "ooh pretty".
It's another reason I've dumped TF3D. Pretty but useless.
thats very diffrent from dianond 1, there i had all my albums on the "music player", this on diamond 2 sucks. the only wayto have more songs is if i create playlists, and that sucks much, would have been much easier to be able to pick an entire album to scroll trough on player screen
Guys, do you have that many problems with the Musictab too?
Playlists are very important for me, so I create playlists on my PC and tried to use them with the Musictab.
Musictab finds the Playlists, but is mess up the covers, it only shows one cover for all songs.
And sometimes the Musictab doesn't cognition them after I set new ones on the card.
Any experience?
The other thing is that videos are never floating. They always bucking the first seconds or when I jump to a nother scene.
Any experience here?
This problem was the reason why I will switch to the iphone, cause the media peformance is very imporant for me.
And it's still so callow on TouchFlo (WM devices).
For the video performance issue, just use Coreplayer Mobile. It manages to run atleast realtime on all videos I've thrown at it.
I wouldn't waste more time with HTC Audio. I spent months and months trying to get it to work without success. I now use Coreplayer for all media needs and it works extremely well. Cheaper than an iPhone as well with better user control of managing files IMO.
Edit: For playlists I recommend the standalone application PlaylistMgr - very simple and effective.
But the Coreplayer isn't fingerfriendly! Why does the HTC Video application work so bad?

Wished I would know that before. I set my Phone on eBay know.
Do you or someone else use this program?
If you create playlists with it, it works perfectly on the musictab (HTC Audio Manager)? The songs in the playlist has got all their own covers an so one? I had a lot of problems with the covers, the musictab only used one for the whole playlist.

I understand what you mean about swiping with fingers but I went through a lot of hassle because I wanted all that too and it was all a waste of time. Really the quality I am getting from CorePlayer surpasses any need for finger friendliness. CorePlayer is still very useable with fingers anyway using menus and I never use stylus.
PlaylistMgr has an option to save playlists in all formats including HTC Audiomanager format so yes you can create and then play in HTC Audio.
Regarding album covers/artwork I think the easiest way is to embed the art work on the computer using iTunes or similar. I do this and everything shows up in HTC Audiomanager and Coreplayer. I also spent a bit of time messing around with folder.jpg etc.. and sometimes it worked sometimes not. Album Art looks really good in Coreplayer.
I'm asking myselfe, why it' has to be that complicated to create a nice working playlist with a 600 EUR device.
Choosing a folder on the storage card and putting every song of if into a playlist, every song shown with the right albumart is possible on every walkman mobile mobile these days, but not on a 600 EUR Smartphone? That's absurd.
Yes coreplayer is maybe good, but I want a stylish fingerfriendly software for music, and the music tab ist stylish and fingerfriendly but it mess up in practice.
And videos should be playling floatly by stock too.

I find Coreplayer looks better using the attached skin in case it helps.
Hi
I got the HTC One and I am using the default music player right now. I have a few albums in which every song continues where the previous one stopped. When I listen to them on Winamp (PC) it sounds like I am listening to one track instead of 10 separated songs. But on my HTC One there is a little delay between each songs and it also kinda fades in and out. Is there a way to disable this?
And I have another problem. I don't know why this happens, but whenever I copy a new song to my phone that doesn't has a album cover it automatically uses a picture of me as the album cover. I have no idea why this happens, because the picture it uses is not even in the music folder. My HTC One is updating the pictures, but I have also some unknown artists on my phone and I fear that my picture will stay on them.
