IGO maps problem on the wind mobile 6.1

Hi all,
i did download rom xda-forums but and install mobile telephone,
everythings is ok but igo maps is not starting.
tom-tom navigation is working and google maps olso.
rom version: 3,02,405,0 WWE
radio version: 1,58,26,20
protocol version: 25,70,30,05H

You mean only maps are not runnung or Igo itself?

Go to the settings
disable HTC home
reset device
Start IGO8
it is working ...
When you are finished bring back HTC home
and there goes the circle

i dont sure because i did upgrade only 2 days ago.
i can see only igo now.

A-GPS should be disabled for IGO to run also.

i dont know where is A-GPS disable-enable

download either schaps advanced configuration or kaiser tweak both found on this forum. the diable A-GPS is one of the options.

This was the problem for me also, but assisted GPS is usually off by default. Also to fix my problem, all I did was to download and isntall the latest release of iGO8, problem solved! and it works with HTC Home!
PS for clarification I have Igo 8 v8.0.0.41506

software to fix GPS?

I have a htc Kaiser and i want to know how many software out there that can speed up the gps? I tried quickGPS and SeaSGEE. Does anyone know anything else beside those 2 softwares? thank you

Try enabling the A-GPS option via AdvanceConfig or KaiserTweak (both available on forum for download).
You can play around with Franson's GPS Gate. Its very good software.

I installed gpstest, then run it, and then Google Maps and Live search are almost instantaneous.

my contry disable GPS on ROm
how can i enable it in un hard-spl 3g

use an application like igo to see if it is disabled for real.

It is ROM disabled. So we need know how to enable GPS in the ROM?

u must have a map to use gps like tomtom or something else
better u should use google map

I install iGO and it couldn't find the GPS enabled.
Also when run QuickGPS, it return error
"The file 'QuickGPS' cannot be opened.
Either it is not signed with trusted certificate,
or one of its components cannot be found.
If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
Please help to find a solution to fix this error, then enable GPS.

on igo, go on settings, next page, GPS, and uncheck that option and press autodetect, and should work.

can any one in this site understand me
i am not from mars i am from earth
the laws in egypt disable any phone gps in htc by program in the roms of egypt and take off the gps from some phone like nokia and other
in htc phone disable gps for that it cant be find by programs like igo
i ask for any program to enable this pice of hard ware ( GPS )

On the branded jade is only a-gps activatet or?
i heared that tomtom or igo won't work with a-gps?
is there any software or way to use gps without internet or must i use a new rom?

any gps software, doesn't use internet. i have igo and miomap installed on my jade, and everything is fine.

do i have to flash the rom to use it or not?

you don't have to flash any rom. you have to install the application, and then will work. i can help you with igo settings if you need them (it's possible not to work from the first time).

i've sent you the archive, but, you will have to complete some files. I mean, map in content/map and language in content/lang because i didn't know what map you need and what language are you using. I've put as default english voice.

have this worked? any more ideas if not?

for me is working so fine. is not working 4u? if not, please tell me the error (remember, to put the language files, voice files, and map file).

iGo Amigo for Kaiser

Does anyone have any experience of getting iGo Amigo working with their Kaiser? TTS?

works fine...
but i had to turn off "assisted gps" function. Not tried TTS.

Also, have you previously used iGo 8? If so, do you find Amigo better, or worse?

Works very well for most aspects. Updated graphics and new interface. TTS works perfectly. Major 'bug' of backlighting controlled by Windows with no override by program. Can use on 8.3 maps.

The display a bit more cartoonish - more like Garmin's than the clean iGo8.3. TTS a bit more precise in pronounciation, and more courteous - lots more "Please turn" etc. Too chatty for my liking.
Still prefer iGo8.3

Going to install iGo 8 then. This is what I've been using on my trusty (old) Mio 269+ for months mow, and I love it.
Was going to use Amigo on my HTC TyTN II (when I eventually receive the device!), but I think I'll put iGo 8 on it instead.

Anyone know how to get amigo to run from today screen if i copy exe to phone it will not load. cheers

IGO 8.3.2.64873 With TTS - OK
Hi all
I have the PDACorner X-V1 and I just installed the iGO 8.3.2.64873 with TTS files, and it seems to be working, I heard the TTS voice when I choosed my language, and iGO is now running.

I have both working on my Tilt fine. Amigo is nice, however iGO8 will still be my primary GPS program.

IS there a solution on how to make IGO find the satellites faster ?? i read many comments from others in this forum but somehow i could not find any proper answer.
IGO6 plus it is finding the satellites very fast when comparing these two..
comments/advice it will be appreciated.

Go to the Save folder>system.ini and add your [GPS] information there (baud rate, port).

Am I allowed to ask if there is an IGO8 .cab... and if so please someone tell me where?

No, it's not allowed as it falls under warez. Plus, it doesn't even come in cab form.
@ fatosb, have you tried running Quick GPS or Quick Position?

Well yes , i noticed the strange thing even in the google maps, it is not showing the corret position..
i tried Quick GPS, google maps, igo8 ...
is there anything else that i can try !

Today i have installed TomTom just to see if the proble is with the software.
just for the information , Tom Tom locks like 7 satellites in 20 seconds, where Igo8 and Igo6 plus , take at least 1 minute >>??
any suggestion how to fix the IGO ( since i have maps for it)

How to configure Garmin GPS on XPERIA X1

hi all,
my friend just got his x1 and he ask me how to configure n use garmin on x1 but i didnt know too..
anyone here can help me please...

install n run

External GPS settings:
Programs Tab: GPS program port: Com4
Hardware Tab: (None) Baud rate: 4800
In Garmin:
Tools-->Settings-->System-Remote GPS
Com4:Com4
Be outside and you should get a signal- first time might take a while about 5 minutes- after that- about 1 minute.

didnt work for me on my garmin xt when i go tools there isnt settings but i went settings and i found remote i click on it doesnt say wich port i t only have back enable and info on enable its search a little and switch on bluetooth what is i making something wrong?

I'd install Garmin on my X1 and I didnt must config the internal GPS, the program config it self. In the GPS config Menue display COM4, COM4.
Have you install Garmin with Windows Installer?
