QuickGPS - Auto Download doesn't download - HELP - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

In QuickPGS, the "Auto download when connected to PC via ActiveSync" is checked... however, it doesn't download when connected to ActiveSync. It works if I manually hit the "Download" button.
Why isn't it working?

Steps.
1. Unplug device from computer, leave it unplugged.
2. Run QuickGPS from device (without it even connected to computer)
3. Profit (your device has updated)
Try running it without ActiveSync. Note that if you're using WiFi for your data connection, you may have to run IE or Opera first -- QuickGPS doesn't seem to be able to use an un-initialized WiFi connection.
That also happens when GPS is turned off.
Go to Settings-->Phone-->Services-->Location Settings and turn it on
there's an mms setting when you first create your profile on your pc with activesync.. enable it.

[SOLVED] Windows 7 can't recognize Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070

Hi everybody,
I have a 64-bit PC with Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 and a Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 with Android 4.1.2.
I can't install a driver in order to make Windows recognize correctly the phone when I connect it via USB cable.
I've installed and uninstalled Samsung Kies many times with no results. I've also tried some Samsung driver from Windows Update with no success...
When I connect the phone, it is recognized as a MTP Device and the driver installation starts, but always ends with an error, as shown in the attached screen-shot image.
What can I do?
Thank you very very much.
Note: in another PC with WinXP I have no problems.
Firstly make sure phone can run MTP (make sure if you delete MTP releated stuff in system you won't able connect it. Re-flash with Odin) Now if you don't have problem with phone then uninstall drivers & KIES from Windows. Don't just do a uninstall clear temp files, dll files, registry entries (you can use CCleaner) then install THIS DRIVERS.

Hello, thank you for your answer.
How can I make sure my phone can run MTP?
For the complete uninstall, is it enough to run CCleaner, uninstall Kies and then perform the Registry Cleaner in CCleaner?
Thank you

Did you root phone ? or installed a ROM or you just using it stock ?
I noticed something too; if you any have PIN or Password you have to unlock phone otherwise MTP not works. Unlock it and try too.
CCleaner will *probably* be enough but if you want to make sure go to regedit.exe and go to;
Code:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/
Then delete KIES & USB Driver stuff (don't delete system USB configs & drivers just Samsung's softwares )
EDIT: In start menu click to RUN (or whatever I don't now it's name in English, you're entering a text) Then write
Code:
%AppData%
Then delete KIES & Samsung folders and files.
I've just Updated the phone firmware from Android 2.3.6 to 4.1.2 with Samsung Kies on my WinXP PC.
I've deleted all Samsung Kies registry entries.
Now I'm going to install the driver you suggested...
Let me see results...

I've also installed Windows MTP Porting Kit, but it still fails...
Any idea?..
I think it is the configuration of this PC, because in another brand new PC with Windows 7 I've installed Kies and it all went right.

Have you tried to reboot phone? I lost mtp after charging phone over wall charger. Everytime I need to reboot after charging to get it connected to pc.

This may be a bit silly but is important to ask.
Was your PC connected connected to the internet while installing the drivers??
Did you unplug your phone while the drivers were being installed??

I've just tried to reboot the phone before connecting it to the PC, but I get the same error (see attachments).
Last year I managed to connect the phone to this PC, but, in any case the connection got interrupted after a while (see this thread).
I don't know what to do...
I had the same problem when i formatted my PC 2 days ago. I did some trial and error and it worked.
1. Dont use any USB Hub if you are using.
2. Remove the Pattern lock or any password security etc. Go to lock screen and select 'None'. (I dont know why but windows doesn't recognise if the device is locked)
3. Have Kies installed. Even new version worked for me. I used 2.5.13043_14
4.Connect your device with the USB cable (Should have MTP option selected which is by default)
5. Windows automatically recognises now and installs the necessary files.
P.S:- Remove the security pattern, etc. It really works.
If worked then pls reply.
Hello,
I've disable any screen lock on my phone and I've connected the USB cable to another USB port (a 3.0 USB port) and Windows magically recognized correctly the device! (no Kies installed, only drivers)
Anyway, after some minutes of usage (cut-paste of files). Windows stopped recognizing the device...
If I disconnect the phone and then connect it back, Windows still recognizes it, but I have few minutes until the device stops being recognized and no file on it can be read...
See attached pictures

Did you download newest version of drivers? I see in your screenshot it says 2012, on mine it is 2014.
Did you set Windows to gather drivers automaticaly from the internet?

This is how my PC recognizes my phone. The driver seems to be old, but I've configured Windows for downloading drivers automatically and that is all it can do.
Today, th PC did not recognized the phone at once. Then I unmounted and mounted back the MicroSD card and the PC recognized it.
But, after few seconds of folder browsing, the PC lost the connection. I'm thinking that the problem is the SD card.
Solved!
Solved!
It was the USB cable.
I replaced it with an original one and now it works.
Thank you everybody for your effort!

usb connection failed

i connect my device to the computer and it will be recognized (symbol in taskbar of windows 7, but in windows explorer and Total Commander it isn´t shown as drive.
A connectin via ftp plugin is possible, but copying .zips does not work (always 0 bytes shown on the device)
So i can´t use a connection to it. In recovery mode computer does not recognize the device (latest TWRP from Android-Andi and nova tested)
Latest windows usb drivers are installed.

Do you use a stock ROM or custom ROM?
Tried already with a other USB cable or USB port? Or on a other Computer?
If you use a custom ROM with Android 4.3 or above, you are able to switch between MTP and PTP in settings > storage, tap one time on menu button and you will see a USB option.
Alternative you can use WiFi direct to share/move/copy files between your phone and PC

I have been facing a strange problem since I updated my Nexus 6 to Android Marshmallow. When ever I am plugging the phone to my computer (Running Windows 7) using the usb cable, I am not being able to tranfer any files. Its showing a message which says that "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected". Any help on this will be really appreciated

Yes. It shows that all drivers are installed correctly....In fact, the device also shows under device manager. Its just that no tranfer is possible between the phone and the computer
did you bring down notifications and change connection type to MTP?
In Marshmallow your connection to PC is in Charging Mode by default, you should bring down notifications select connection mode and change connection type to MTP(Media Transfer Protocol).

Hi suite works all annoyingly well for me. Dunno what's wrong on your end, buddy.
Annoyingly, because it always pings my desktop and opens whenever I connect to my PC.

If any Option like it should be, try reinstall of HiSuit on PC?! (! If de & reinstall, SAVE your [email protected] BEFORE uninstall Hisuite!)

Turn off USB debugging.
Completely delete all drivers whilst not connected. In Windows click options show all devices, including hidden.
Install hisuite.
Next connect the phone then let it install.
Then disconnect and turn on USB debugging.
Let it install that too.
Can you see the device?
PS: there's only so many ways it can connect.
Nuking the driver then reconnecting afresh is the best way.
WORKED:
uninstall all of hisuite components with revo uninstaller
restart pc
connect phone via usb
turn on debugging
then open hisuite installer that shows as virtual CD in my computer
install it, and open
now, on phone ALLOW HDB
go to developer options, and as USB CONNECTION TYPE choose charging
and allow your PC to use phone
thats it

### The only way it worked for me was after being connected to the PC and have opened the HiSuite THEN GO to the last step and it looks is the only way it changes for charging only. If you don't have either the PC connected and on the HiSuite program, it doesn't change at all. Check bellow on the ###.:good:
Well it worked for me any way Thank's hexen88

It must of been a bug, once i updated to 9.0 it now connects fine and has done since updating.
If it still helps i think i got it.
Use the original huawei charging cable you got with the phone.
I tried it all.. tethering, debugging, hisuite etc.. but nothing worked
1. step Install HiSuite on computer,
2. step plug in your phone with original cable,
3. step HiSuite on computer will run by itself,
4. step select transfer files on your phone,
5. step computer will ask you if you all it to install HiSuite on your phone and click ok,
6. step on your phone pop up will show to install HiSuite on Huawei.
Maybe also go to settings - connections - usb thetering (if needed) and thick it.
Hope it helps, it did for me - but barley lost my mind...
Good luck,
Toni
