Hi,
Has anyone tried Momail - its a free push email facility. I have set up an account and configured my xda stellar but it isn't 'pushing' the email. Push icon is greyed out in Comm manager but I guess you need something like exchange server details or Blackberry Connect to activate that.
Here is the link to Momail if anyone is interested. http://www.momail.co.uk/page/how_it_works.asp?m=2
I have done a search but havent found any posts specifically on this service, would be interested in any views or advice.
Looks like they use IMAP. Personally thats never seemed to be as reliable for PUSH (when supported) as when using MS Exchange with OTA Activesync.

Thanks PsyOpWarlord, I have raised a query with Momail we will se what they say.
i heard push mail is something similar to blackberry, instant email sort of a thing. my company has an exchange server running. how do i configure the push mail on my kaiser?
quickest way to get this sorted would be to speak to your IT department.

Push e-mail need to be enabled on your exchange account as well as on your phone, and the IT department need to set up an OTA server in connection with the Exchange server.
So go see the IT guys
thanks
i'll do that and see how it goes?
aite
everything is setup from the tech side
what needs to be done on my handset to make it go through?

You need to set up the account, and I think it's done in Activesync. Specifying the server (in my case it's ota.xxxxx.com), your exchange username (usually you e-mail account), your regular windows password and optionally the domain.
Then you get to chose which information you want pushed - email, calendar, to-do etc.
have fun

checked everything
some back end ssl certificate issue i guess
nothing more i can do
admin guys will have to fix it
hi there,
i am using a free push email service from mail2web.com.
lets say i send someone an email from my gmail account on my computer...
the person gets it and replies...
i get the email on my computer and on my phone...
when i want to reply though, i only have the option of replying to ALL?!
the phone then sends the email to me and the person i am replying too?
not only is it annoying to get your own mail all the time, the receiver of my mail is getting the mail2web email address and not mine?!
do i make sense? i hope i explained it correctly?
thanks

Assuming you are using ActiveSync - there is an advanced section in the email sync settings that allows you to enter your email address. I have done this and the 'Reply All' does not include my own email address.
Open ActiveSync
Click Menu>Options>Select Email>Settings>Advanced - then enter your email address...See if that works
thanks for the help...it fixed it to 50%...i still have the problem that the recipient gets my push email address and not the email address i want him to get...
thanks

You need to ask your IT department at work for that info.

Generally speaking, if your company uses Exchange mail and has a web URL, then this is what you would enter:
(Example website url http://www.example.com/)
Server address: either mail.example.com -or- exchange.example.com
Domain: example.com
If those don't work, you'll probably need to ask whoever set up your company email what the proper settings are. If you are told some pop or imap settings, then that is not Exchange mail.

Haven't tried hotmail, but wouldn't you just set it up the same way like setting up a yahoo account under the email app.
i've done this but push doesnt seem to work??
although I can set the fetch frequency to 5 mins, so this would effectively be the same as push sort of??
would the battery life be the same as it would if i was using push?
