Freedom mini bluetooth keyboard - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Reliable bluetooth keyboard connection anyone??
Freedom mini bluetooth keyboard refuses to pair with my diamond.
Has anyone managed to get the freedom mini bluetooth keyboard to work reliably with the HTC Diamond?
Coming from a hermes I thought I could by the diamond and pair it with the freedom keyboard but its so eratic/touch and go...
I'm hoping I wouldn't have undergo the pairing process (typing in numbers) every time I need to use the keyboard.
I've only successfully paired it once!
during the pairing process it pairs then prompts that the keyboard would like to pair, requests a passcode and even though I type one in and type it on the keyboard it never works.

Search!!!! Brada. Or u gonna get burned.
If your a bum then go here

I have searched and searched and am in NO mood to branded a bum - Period.
I have been using this forum since the damn SPV so I know why I am asking specific questions about specific hardware and how it functions with the HTC Diamond.
So if you don't have anything constructive to offer on this specific hardware (freedom mini bluetooth keyboard and it's pairing process) then please don't bother.
Thanks

bluetooth keyboard

I can't get a diffinitive answer. can we pair a bluetooth keyboard with the mogul? thanks, zacharyjeans
Yes, I use Igo stowaway foldup keyboard.
Alan
I use a Dell Executive Keyboard - I believe it is the same as the Think Outside keyboard, except in black. Works fine.
If you want the StowAway, get them while they last since iGo is not making them anymore. I have one and it works great, so I'm disappointed to see that they are stopping production.
My husband has a Mogul with Windows 6.1. His keyboard is a Freedom Universal Keyboard. It doesn't work after the upgrade. Do you know where can I find drivers for the Mogul 6.1? Or at least a keyboard that works with the new rom? Thanks
I have the IGO one as well as the bluetooth mouse and they both work well. The reason Igo isn't making the bluetooth keyboards anymore is because the company did not want to keep up with the driver demands for a new ROM or device (according to Smartphone and Pocket PC).

Pairing bluetooth headsets

I just recently bought a new stereo bluetooth headset (dell BH200) which sounds great when I play music through it, but it comes with a gigantic flaw. I can't make or recieve calls. The moment any of that happens, the headset disconnects itself. I'm wondering what the problem is since the headset does support 2.0 with EDR and so does the fuze. One thing I did noticed though was that when I paired the headset, it did not ask for a passkey at all and just went straight to "save".
I'm wondering if there is anything that I can do to make the headset work with phone if anyone has any idea. I was lurking around and someone mentioned something about CoD (class of device) but I dont think that's the issue.
Thankyou for your time reading this post.

mmm me thinks that it may not have paired correctly. I don't actually know much about the model you have. I have a Iclip R32 which I have had paired with most of my phones. It always asks for the passkey. I have always, once paired, made a call to my phone while the headset is connected. Not sure if it is related to my device or not but if I do not do this it will do weird things when I listen to music and receive calls. Sorry if this has not been of much help to you.
Bottom line: I would delete the pairing and do it again.
if you're not sure which bt headset it is, it's up on the dell website. Let me snag a link for you real quick. The problem is it only does half the function i want it to which is aggravating.
Here you go:
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=313-6220
that's the headset I got. The thing that strikes me as odd is that I couldn't enter a passkey nor is there an option for me to force to provide a passkey like vista. I heard rumors about the bluetooth stack automatically assuming passkeys for "unsafe" devices like headsets and all that. If anything should I consider getting a different bt stack? People were recomending Widdcomm's...

Mm I checked them with the link you sent thanks for that.
Maybe my headset is getting old but it always asks for a passkey when I connect it. My Touch Pro did just like my Kaiser and Hermes. Sorry but maybe you will need to check with Dell. They do not mention any thing but I'm assuming that they have a microphone for phone calls....
edit: Doh I just read the 2nd page of reviews and it does have a mic. Sorry should of checked that before.
Well since your touch pro most probably runs wm6.1, i doubt it's because your headset is old. I wonder if there's a way to disable this automatic passkey guessing thing.
Anyone? any ideas on how to disable the automatic pin number guessing feature of wm6.1?
Kicks post up to page 1
So what do you guys think?
Would it be a good idea to use a different bt stack or am I stuck with no choice at all?
Need Help Badly!!
hi i'm trying to pair my bluetooth headset (Samsung WEP200) but everytime i put the pin number (that is given by the bluetooth headset) it always said "Your Device did not connect with Samsung WEP200. The connection Failed or the passcode is incorrect".
how to install the hotfix (the hot fix from HTC website) on my HTC Touch Pro? everytime i copy the .exe file into my device, and run it, i always got an error box. Incorrect Device, "Please use the correct Device to Install This Hotfix program!" i don't know how it happen, i download this from HTC support page. i select the phone (HTC Touch Pro) and in the "Software Download" tab it show that there are 3 available download, the Hotfix, the Rom and Application.
i really need help....... pls, someone that have the same proble with their HTC Touch Pro bluetooth connection.....
is there a way to disable the automatic passkey mode that came with the MS bt stack or anything like changing my stack to a different' company's

Ultimate combo HD2 and BT Virtual Keyboard don't pair

iTech's virtual keyboard doesn't pair with my HD2.
I think it's because I can't find/activate a serial outgoing port in the bluetooth stack.
It does find the keyboard....it gives a code I've to fill in on the keyboard but when I fill it in on the keyboard it doesn't pair.
Itech 24/7 chat support is never there (when i tried) and on my e-mail they don;t respond.
Any ideas?
Let us know if you get it working, I would like to buy one for my HD2
It's a defect in my keyboard I can't connect to anything, only six months old and zero support through the webstore, factory or distributor.
Don't buy it...great gadget but when it's not working it's crap !!!
Other Keyboard options
I didn't know whether you all read this thread, so hears for just in case.

Yes THX.
But I can't connect to any device at this moment.....)-;
Sorry for hijacking, but does anyone know of a folding bluetooth keyboard that DOESN'T have a holder for the phone?
I plan on using this with my HD2 in a holder on the dashboard of my car, so the holder on the keyboard would just be not needed.
Thanks.
The holder on the Stowaway keyboard is removable, so that ought to work.

HD2 paired with Logitech Dinovo Edge Bluetooth Keyboard

Hey,
today I thought I have to try something new. When i saw my HD2 lie on my bluetooth Keyboard I just had to give it a try. So I paired the HD2 with a Logitech Dinovo Edge keyboard.
For first impression just watch the linked video on youtube i made:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-l9GckkXzSw
It is kinda possible to control the HD2 with the keyboard. Some commands wont work with the keyboard arrows, some do.
It is possible to assign keyboard keys to Morphgear and FPSECE but they wont work in game. May somehow it would work since the keys are assigned.
Enjoy this one
BTW: its german layout qwertz keyboard but the HD2 takes it as a wwe qwerty keyboard so at the end of the video you see me having some trouble writing a ""
How do I go about pairing my diNovo Edge with the Leo?
I didn't even know the diNovo used Bluetooth, I thought since it came with a USB dongle it was USB.
Nice what kind of cradle do you have there?

i like it too what is it?
hey, yes the dinovo is a bluetooth keyboard ... i dont even use the logitech bluetooth dongle because i dont like the size of it.
Well, the cradle is the battery charging station for the bluetooth keyboard
Leo kinda fits in there but its connected nowhere just used it for the video.
I'm using the USB receiver since I use my Bluetooth for audio, not sure it could do both at the same time.
How do I go about putting the diNovo in pairing mode?
turn your keyboard upside down and press the connect button then look for available bt devices on your HD2
Incredible feature! Did any user who have bluetooth keyboard have tried this on Touch HD?
I saw this at WMPU.. good stuff ...
That's fun!
I just tried it on my HTC Elf and it works! Even when I turn off the screen.
I bet the iPad can do this too... oh wait, it probably can't, seeing as how Apple have their own overpriced keyboard/dock for it.
pairing a LG touch
just tried to pair my LG Touch with no success, the device does show up in my listing fully described, it asks for a passcode which i entered 0000, and it tries to pair and eventually fails....i wonder if you all are pairing because you are using HTC products.....which will be fine being the im due for my HTC Evo 4G next week.... WOOHOO!
Do you think a
Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3616
would work ?
Works with Logitech MX5500
Done and confirmed to work with Logitech MX5500 Keyboard
WOW amazing!
I've had a logitech dinovo edge for 4 years, and I always thought the bluetooth capability was somehow proprietary(even though thinking about it that doesn't make sense if it's labeled bluetooth) I just tried it out and it works pretty well, though when typing messages it starts to lag when i type too fast. I wish though it could take advantage of all the other inputs on the kbd like the trackpad.
HD2 bluetooth keyboard works great
I bought a mini bluetooth keyboard on [email protected] and it works great with my HD2.
It makes typing txt-msgs with my giant fingers easy.
It was only $34. Model wkb-1500
Can anyone shed some light on this? I have a Nexus One, stock 2.2.1 ROM and a DiNovo Edge. I can pair the keyboard with the phone but then I get "Paired but not Connected" in the bluetooth device listing. When I click on it there is no response, only the option to unpair.
Thoughts? Thanks!
also working : DiNovo Mini !!
Hello! i would also tell u that the diNovo Mini Keyboard is compatible to Leo. I'm using this little keyboard since 1 year and i am very happy with it. I can put it in my pocket too.... and the accu of it is very powerful (along 2 weeks of using every day)....
only the mediaplayer doesnt work with the buttons (i use strg + ...).
and the price : uuuuhhh a lil bit too much ;D
on the pics u can see how small it is... (cant compare with leo cause i shot the pics with him )

This response is over a week late, but if you get this, I hope it helps.
After pairing:
Download BlueKeyboard JP or Blue Input Demo from Market. After you install either of these programs, go into Settings>Language&Keyboard and check the box next to the program name (either BlueKeyboard JP or Blue Input). Go into the program's settings menu (should be right underneath it in the list). For BlueKeyboard JP, it'll ask you to select your keyboard and input type/style (e.g., US QWERTY), among other things. For Blue Input Demo, it'll allow you to search for your keyboard. Just search and choose it when it pops up on screen.
Last thing, change your input method. For example, if you want to use your keyboard to type a text message, open up the text messaging program. In any of the textbox where the text goes, press and hold your finger on the screen until a menu pops up with "Input Method" in it. Select it and choose the program you just downloaded (Blue Keyboard/Blue Input) in the menu. Your BT keyboard should now work.
I used Blue Input Demo on my HD2 with the diNovo Edge and found that it's better than BlueKeyboard JP. Give it a try and let me know if it works.

Bluetooth keyboard

Hello, iam searching for a bluetooth keyboard for my HD2. Its exhausting to write mails and sms everyday on that beatiful but hard to type touchscreen :/ So i thought about buying a bluetooth keyboard. But after some searching i only found a few small keyboards from 2005 and 2006 I hoped you guys could help me with that. I want a small keyboard, size like a creditcard if possible, should be easy to carry arround
Greetings, Deadwalk
You should have a look at the Logitech diNovo Mini if you want something good. It's expensive but worth it, I got some $25 chinese BT keyboard and it's even worse to type on it than on the HD2 itself.
Remember that until Teksoft release their Blueinput driver for the HD2 and other Broadcom BT stack phones you will be stuck to standard keys, special keys will not work or type different characters than what's written on them.
stowaway bluetooth keyboard works for standard buttons. If you install the driver and have it run in the background while depending on the HD2's broadcomm BT driver to do the pairing, you gain the the ability to use home/end/pgup/pgdn, but not much else.
You can, however, use AE Button Plus to manually map your functional buttons
