Good afternoon!
I have navigation/hands free phone in my Toyota Camry. When I send contacts from my P3600 to the phone book in the car via BlueTooth, it appears the phone is sending info in the "First/Middle/Last" format found on the "Name" line rather than the "Last/First/Middle" like a regular phonebook. If the contact sent is a company then the "Name" line is blank and so is the entry in the car's phonebook.
The first question: Can the "send contact" function somehow be reformated to send the name in the format that displays when you open "contacts"?
The second question: Is there anyway to select several contacts to send at once as a batch? Sending one contact at a time is obsurdly slow...
Thanks in advance.
Chris
the first questio .. try edit contact -- save as-- change the wat it looks.
the second Q -- if u r using WM5 the is a small app. called ppc contact manager it allow u to select all contacts .
I'm fed up with the way pocket outlook allows me to search for files to add them as email attachments. What it does is it searches all the folders for files which takes sooooooo long. So in perfect life I would like to manually pick a folder and then select a file as an attachment. Does something like this exist?
I know that there are other email clients out there but I would like to have this feature in outlook as it's better integrated with the OS.
It's called, open file explorer, find the file to send, hold down on the file, go to send, and then pick your method.

Yeah I knew that but sometimes while writing an email I realize that I forgot to attach a file and then....I will have to either attach a file through outlook or copy my message to clipboard, go to explorer attach a file to a new email and then paste the text of my message.....too much hustle. So I'm still looking for some convenient solution.
Good luck with that. .
I don't see how people can be so picky about this sort of thing. One guy got mad because he had to click too many times to send an SMS message out.

Come on think about this....wasn't it be easier to just allow the user to access the explorer directly from the new email screen and allow one to pick the SPECIFIC folder. And now when you want to attach a file directly from the email screen you have to wait until WM searches all your folders which takes just too damn long.
So i just don't follow you......picky??? I'm just proposing an improvement. I've got a feeling that you consider WM 6.1 to be perfect as it is...
Hi All,
Firstly, apologies if this is a duplicate thread, but i couldnt find the right answer after searching a lot...
I want to select all contacts in my contact list and send them via bluetooth/beam to my second handset (both windows based). But i cant seem to find a way to select all contacts and send them. SIM manager has the select all option in the menu but cant find the same in the phone cotact list.
Pleeeease help!
Maverick
In the contacts window, pop-up the standard keyboard (the black and white one) and hit Ctrl+A (like on a computer) and it should highlight all of them. As for sending them, I don't know if it will work.
Just got my phone and the first thing I wanted to do was set up wifi.
Have a long wifi password so transferred a txt file to the Note using Kies.
I can click on the txt file and it opens in the default program (Polaris?)
But I can't see any way to select the specific text, copy it, then paste it in the
window that asks for wifi pw.
I can type it in by hand or use some trick but I really just want to know how to select/copy/paste text now.
Thanks
/noob
Long press on the bits you want to select. Should get a pop-up to copy. Then long press where you want to paste. Again a pop-up should appear with paste.
Try the application clipper on the Google play store. Makes managing clipboard even easier.

seems polaris office doesn't allow editing? (which is bs)
maybe this is the issue?

Hello,
I was trying to attach a saved note in gmail, but could not find it. Does anybody know how to do it? When I click on attach, it shows 2 options, namely, 'attach file' and 'insert from drive'. When I tap 'attach file', there are just pictures. videos, audio and internal storage. I read via google that the notes were saved in secured folders in previous notes. Is that also the case on this phone? If so, how else can I share the files, when replying to an email?
Cheers.
Note: I did a quick search on this forum, but did not find anything. (went 2 pages deep). If the solution already exists, kindly point me to the right direction.
The only way I know how to share a Samsung note is to open the note, hit share, you'll get a dialog box to share as.. Txt, PDF, etc,...
Pick one, then select the Gmail app...

Hi Whelmar,
Thanks for answering. That works perfectly if I am sending a new email, but its if I want to reply to an email, that's where the problem comes. Maybe there is a way to save the note as a jpeg or something?

Cronus, you can easily save a note as jpeg or PDF, save it in local storage and then open any gmail and attach it as file by selecting it as local file. I use Xplore File manager and it works like a charm with it. I am attaching few screenshots to make it easy. Let me know, if it works fr you
