I've been searching for a couple of days with no luck on an answer. is there a way to schedule a sync over bluetooth between my phone and pc or a program that can do it? I want my phone so sync everynight. if it can't be done, is there a way to make a shortcut to this action?

ACTIVE SYNC TAKES A LONG TIME TO SYNCRONIZE

hi,
when i place the xda IIs in the cradle, the active sync 4 takes a long time to handshake! i dont syncronize any of the stuff!
Any help?
click sync in async on your device
Try different USB port on your PC.
Try to sync without a proxy. Sometimes, when a proxy is defined in I.E., when putting device in craddle, active sync wakes up, and wait up to 3 or 4 minits before synching.

anyone know good sms application for PC?

I'd like to be able to send SMS messages from my desktop WITHOUT having to connect the phone via activesync.
Anyone know of a good application to do that?

1) If you want to send SMS from your PC via Internet, then there are many web sites that would allow you to do that (some free, some not free).
2) If you want to send SMS from PC (using your cell phone) via Bluetooth/wifi/activesync, then there is a free plug-in on Microsoft web page for MS Outlook
Not possible and bigger question WHY?? (unless for junk SMS's!).. how will you connect to the WM SMS client???
You need Activesync USB or BT connected.
Jeyo mobile extender works well with the latest (Office 2007, a bit dodgey on older versions!) Outlook and integrates so that you can forward email/SMS to each other.
It used to inform you on your PC when a txt came in but the sw has a problem with WM6 as the client is hampered for that.
Great for keeping a permanent record of your SMS's on your PC/Laptop and managing your SMS's on your phone.
Hope this helps.
Well, what I want to do is send an sms using the keyboard on my PC (which is somewhat bigger then the one on my Kaiser). But without having to connect the device with activesync.
Why not activesync. Wel then I either have to connect the kaiser with an USB cable. Or I have to connect to activesync with bluetooth. And that has to be initiated on the kaiser.
So I can't just leave the kaiser in my pocket when I want to send an SMS
Whatever client you use HAS to connect somehow to your phone!
Why use anything else when MS Async is there ???
Best way is Activesync BT with Jeyo as I am sure you won't find anything better!
Just google 'free sms' and you'll come up with plenty of free sms websites. Of course you can't receive an sms.
You could try SOTI Pocket Controller. It lets you control your Kaiser from your PC. You will see the screen from your phone in a window, allowing you to use the keyboard on your PC to type SMS'. Of course you have to connect via USB first...
If I configure ActiveSync to connect via Bluetooth on my Hermes, and pair the devices as a permanent pairing with my machine, whenever I initiate the connection (from my laptop) it automatically starts syncing... Can you not do that on the Kaiser?
First off all, let me make it clear I don't want to send free sms or bulk sms.
I just find it easier to type an sms on my desktop keyboard then on my phone itself.
I've used Jeyo mobile extender & mobile companion. And they work great, they come close, very close to what I want.
The only problem is that I have to either connect the phone with a USB cable or that I have to initiate the activesync connection on the phone itself.
So I can't just leave the phone in my pocket.
I do understand that I need a connection somehow. And I have a working bluetooth connection. The phone is paired with my pc and I can use activesync over bluetooth. But only if I open activesync on my phone and use the menu option 'connect with bluetooth'.
I don't know how to initiate a connection on the PC. If someone can tell me how to do that then using that, together with the jeyo tools would be great!
VOIP providers like VOIPStunt or VOIPBuster all allow the sending of SMS's thru a web page interface. And if you sign up with an account with them (cuz the sending of SMS's is not free with them, though much cheaper if you send them internationally) you can actually make them look like they are coming from your phone.
I.e. I have an account with VOIPStunt (voipstunt.com). I use their excellent VOIP services on both my PC and my phone. In your account details you let them know your mobile phone number, which is verified by them (they send you a text msg and you have to enter the code into your profile). From that point forward whenever you call or SMS someone using their software, it looks as if its being called from or sent from your phone number.
Anyways, that's one way of doing what you are asking. But of course, it doesn't go thru your phone at all, (You don't even need to have your phone with you to send) so all the SMS msgs out are on your PC, and if someone replies, they go to your phone. But if your goal is to be able to use your PC keyboard to compose and send out SMS's fast or plenty, this would do the trick.

Gotcha!! I understand what you want now...
You want a PC program that will automatically connect to your phone via WiFi or Bluetooth when you click 'Send' on an SMS package on the PC!!!
Soz mate! we haven't got that far yet but as with all other ideas, this is where they start!!!
Making it public, as you have, is what xda-developers is about!
Didn't know that bout the OS. I would have thought an option like 'connect when in range' would be available.

I use a prog called "Pocket Snapshot" which allows me to use my PC's keyboard to do anything I want on my PPC.
Nevermind- I just saw this post which means the one I use wouldnt help you at all. My apologies.

Bluetooth schedule On/off for syncing every 10min

Hi everyone!
I've been using Nokia PC Suite for a year or so, and I've been quite happy with it, not having to write SMS on the phone.
Today I've found a program that can send SMS via Outlook over bluetooth - which makes an outlook freak like me really happy
However Bluetooth will kill my batteri, and I was wondering if you knew of a program, to make bluetooth turn on connect to ActiveSync, then turn off after sync, every 10 minutes?
(as of now, I cant even set ActiveSync to connect over bluetooth automaticly, with BT on all the time on both PC and Phone)

Automatic activesync synchro via bluetooth

Hello!
I am trying to make my Diamond synchronize automaticaly via bluetooth when it is next to my PC (it was indeed possible and working great on nokia symbian!!)..
Any way to have an easy way to synchronize via bluetooth without having to open Activesync and go in "bluetooth connection" ?
Thanks!!
