I noticed that when you slide to the SMS tab in touchflo 3D is shows the messages you recieve from everyone and you can scroll through each, is there a way to group the text's so you can scroll through and see them by contact and click tap on the one you want and see the text convo with that person? so that if 3 of my friends text me I can see 3 names and click and see our convo's and not just the messages to scroll though? is that makes any sense?

I've come across an burdening issue sending a txt with multiple recipients. Though the grouped chat style text messaging is an incredible advantage, there are some cons and i'm wondering if they can be fixed somehow.
Because of the chat style text messaging, your first outgoing message gets coped to your inbox. Is there any way for the first outgoing message to NOT be copied to your inbox?
This poses an issue for when you are sening a mass/group text message. For example, if i send out "Happy New Year" to 50 people in one text, i get 50 outgoing copies in my inbox.
Suggestions?
It doesnt really get copied, The threaded sms app just shows that you started a conversation with those recipients. I do see what your saying though, and i guess it can get somewhat annoying having all those open conversations in your inbox, BUT now you only have those 50 or so threads in your inbox as opposed to (like me) thousands of messages to scroll through. Plus as an added benefit you can see who replied in an orderly fashion. I for one would like the option to turn sms threading on/off, but I guess this is progress...

Well as much as i love it, i would like to see that the program doesn't show the started conversation on the first initial text message. It should show it when they reply. This would solve the group text messaging issue

If it's even something that can be edited... might be part of the program's code.
I'd like to be able to move the messages into another folder but cant seem to find out a way to do it as the option isnt highlighted

hi guys
is there a way to keep more than 25 SMS messages ? it appears that the phone always deletes the oldest one and only keeps 25 SMS messages ... I'd like to keep all of them ...
any tweaks to fix that ?
cheers
Are you sure they are deleted?
When I go into messages and select all messages, then select a person/conversation, if I scroll to the top there is another link saying 'older' and the previous messages are there.
wierd.... they are in "older" section ... why does it then show only 25 ? to preserve memory ?
I think I understand your comment:
in the SMS tab just 25 messages can be displayed
(Also) in the emails tab it only shows a maximum of 99 emails
to veiw any more you have to click "all message" and you get the standard WM6.1 message indox, sent, drafts etc...
Maybe its just a built in limmitation of Manilla as all your messages are still there its just they are not shown in the TouchFlo application?
It's in a conversation style ... Threaded.
If you want all to sms's to appear, like in your PREVIOUS PHONES (perhaps), you can remove the threaded style of sms's and they will no longer appear as conversations, and you will not have OLDER mentioned anywher
hope this helps
To disable Threaded view, there is a registry entry you will have to CREATE
In your registry editor - go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM
Create Regitry entry
SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
Set Value to 1
Restart the phone
That's it.
The sms tab still shows only 25 elements, also if in "all" there's no more the "older" thread... No solution for this?
hi solved your problem?
Ive got the same problem...
Is it in WM6.5 you're talking about? Whose ROM are you using? I always get to display more than 25 SMS or 1000s of emails too.

Carty..
Hi,
I've had a HTC Herald and a Touch Cruise in the past. I've just got a Diamond and am having trouble when sending SMS. Usually I would press send and it would display the message sent notification and then go to the SMS inbox.
I've played around and turned the sent notification on.... and then back off as I realized I could live without it (this was done with advanced config)
But my problem is when I send a message, the message moves up to the rest of the conversation that is above and is in bold text. Now I would expect that it would clear the text I have just written from the input text box at the bottom and either go to the whole conversation view or the SMS inbox. I don't mind it going to the conversation view instead of the SMS inbox but I have to press Menu >> Close and it asks me if I want to save a draft of the message I've just sent.
It's just really frustrating to have to press a bunch of buttons just to get back to the main menu. Has anyone else noticed this?
Can anybody tell me what program I can use for my text messaging notification? The problem I have is that when I read the text message, it still shows as new. Meaning I have to go in to the inbox and highlight the actual message to get that number off my text icon.
I've found it here a long time ago, but I couldn't find it. And I did search but all I kept getting were post about disabling the sent text notification.
thanks.
i think you may be talking about kaiser tweak. you can do a search to find it because that thread is buried somewhere
I think he may be talking about threaded SMS not setting the text to "Read" when you enter threaded SMS.
I noticed this a little while back. I've just kind of gotten used to it. If I receive a new text message, I'll open it in threaded SMS. it won't be set to "Unread" until I exit threaded sms by pressing "OK"
On my old Galaxy S10 I was able to mute an SMS conversation. (My siblings will sometimes get into a chat convo, lasting hours. And since we're in different time zones, their conversations might occur while I'm sleeping.)
Now that I've got a Galaxy S23+, I'd like to do the same thing. Only, it doesn't appear that I can. Tapping on the 3 vertical bars to the right of the conversation title, I see things like Delete Messages, Search Messages, Notification sound, Category, Customize chat room, Share attachments, and Group Conversation. But I do not see a Mute conversation.
(BTW, what is "Group conversation"? And why is it the only one with a sliding button?)
What app are you using, Google Messages? If so, it can be done:
Open conversation
3-dot menu in upper right - choose Details
choose Notifications
select Silent

Thank you for your response. That is working well.
However, is there a way of also stopping the vibration too? I'm getting that even though I've silenced the messaging group. (Yes, I'm using Google Messsages.)
