I have just purchased CoPilot 7 Diamond edition from Handango, so a download rather than a CD. When I try and start CoPilot I get the following error "Unable to to open CoPilot. Please make sure the storage card is inserted or that the data has been properly downloaded"
I have installed to internal storage as per the instructions. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance.
I purchased CoPilot 7 Diamond Edition from Handango too but it was when it was first released and the download link only gave the manual. I contacted the developers and they gave me a direct link.
Anyway Once unpacked it was 2 folders. The instructions said to copy both folders to the root of the internal storage. So as to copy faster I used Disk Drive mode, as soon as I disconnected the USB the installation started automatically with no problems. I installed the application to the device and have no problems with it running.
The thing I like is everytime I flash a new ROM CoPilot automatically reinstalls itself afterwards.

This error comes up whenever I try to load new maps from the Destinator CD. Anybody seen it before?
I have loaded software/maps from this CD loads of times before and I have another copy and get the same results.
I've tried a differant desktop/xda/SD card
I can sync with outlook
I can load any other app
UK ROM 3.17
Any help would be really great.
Dan.
Which version of active sync are you using? I had problems with versions above 3.5 You can simply unzip the maps onto your sd card into the appropriate directory and the software finds them.

Tried 3.5 and 3.7
I friend gave me another copy of the cd and that worked. Really strange as I had 2 other copies of the cd and both were working.
Thanks for your help.
For anybody else using the latest Destinator software, make sure you are using your GPS in Sirf mode, Destinator is VERY flaky in NMEA mode, lost signal, slow updates, freezes etc.
Hi Guys,
I am having problems trying to install Tom Tom 6.0.1 on my Trinity.
I have Tom Tom on a cd but when I tried to copy the folders across to my 2gb storage card on my device, the GB Maps folder which is approx 114mb would stop at about a third of the way accross the progress bar and then start again. Then it would start to copy the other smaller files across.
When I tried to run the Tom Tom program on my device I got the 'No Maps Found' message and can not go any further. So I thought that the maps folder had 'timed out' as it was being transfered accross from the cd to the storage card via Activsync.
So I bought a new card reader to copy the files over to the storage card quicker and safer. But when I try to run Tom Tom I get the same message 'No Maps Found'.
It is almost as if I have to install the GB maps on to the Trinity's memory and not the storage card in order for the program to find them. This I cant do because it would fill up the memory.
So has anybody else come accross this issue and would be able to help me because I am desperate to get SATNAV and Tom Tom working on this device.
Cheers!
Hi mikehockenballs,
Your problems is not a nice one, the fact is that your map version is not supported by your current Tom Tom software, you have to get newer version of these maps, and only then Tom Tom will recognize them.
On each map folder there is a .pna file and this file contains the version number of the maps, i have found that maps with version number smaller than 650 do not work with Tom Tom 6.
Can you check you maps version and then correct me if i am wrong.
Thanks,
Luís
Hi Imbranco,
Thanks for your reply!
I looked at the .pna file but there is no version number in the file name.
Do I need another program to open these files up and view the
This is the file name that I have :-
GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE.pna
I think I will try and download another version of Tom Tom and see if that works.
Cheers!
Hi,
I am sorry i did not make myself so clear, you have to open the .pna file as a text file and read the contents, inside the file is the version number of the file. For compatability i recommend Tom Tom 5.21 but you will be losing on some bug fixes and enhancements.
Luís
I have TomTom 6.03 and maps are in Folder \storagecard\myDocuments, where TomTom is looking for it.
maybe this helps
Where can I get the 6.0.3 update? I have 6.0.2.
Pe747,
I have copied the maps to the 'My Documents' folder of the storage card, and it still could not find the maps.
Do I need to copy the files into the 'My Documents' folder as seperate files and not as a GBMaps folder?
I now have the maps in 3 different folders on the stotage card and it still wont find them!!!!
This is really starting to piss me off now!!
The maps are:-
ID=GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE.pna
1696100257
650
build=1046
id=38915
and the version of Tom Tom is 6.0.10
I have uninstalled it twice and installed it again but it wont find the maps.
Could anyone please help?
mikehockenballs,
I made a folder under MyDocuments with the name of the map and put all the relevant maps in there. I have another folder with another map.
In TomTom I go to change maps and TomTom presents me the different names of folders.
I don't know if your maps are compatible with the version of TomTom.
I had a simular problem.. before this problem i activated 'enable Bluetooth Explorer' in the bluetooth settings.. when i unchecked it.. the maps were found again - maybe not the answer but worth a trie

I had the same problem where it was working and then all of sudden NO MAPS FOUND. The above solution fixed the problem. Thanks
I have HTC Diamond for 10 days (Asian version , ROM 1.35.707.3 WWE). Set it up and successfully used on US T-Mobile until yesterday when I’'ve got an error message on the phone saying that the program I am trying to open can not be open because of the missing dll file. I had few different software which I use on day to day basis installed on the phone like Pocket Informant, SPB Traveler, Trip Tracker, Cootek TouchPal. After the error message I tried to open other programs, but whatever was installed on the internal storage of the phone gave me an error message.
Next I tried to reinstall those programs and got the message saying – “…the installation was unsuccessful…”. Next I decided to do the hard reset and reformat the internal storage. In the end of the process I'’ve got the message saying "Compare moviNAND error". It stays on screen until I hit the reset button.
After restart the device goes back to the factory settings. The internal storage is available, except I find "internal storage" and "internal storage2" folders. The CONTENTS folder which I had there originally is missing. I can copy files there, but when I attempt to install the software I am getting the following message: "Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate."
I know that a lot of you guys went through hard resets. Did anyone had this problem? Can any one help me to fix this?
Hi,
Try deleting the 'Internal Storage' folder using the file explorer and soft reset. 'Internal Storage 2' should be automatically renamed to 'Internal Storage'.
Hopefully this work for you.
DT
Did that. But still can not install any CABs...
Activesync mode
Check if your diamond is not connected as disk drive (normally when you connect it to your computer you have the choice to connect using activesync or disk drive). If you did connect using disk drive mode, you will not be able to install programs correctly. This is why it creates a 'internal storage 2' folder when installing programs.
I rearly use ActiveSync to install programs. I have them mostly as a CABs. So last advice does not fix the problem. Thank you though.

this internal storage 2 is because of messaging (attachments of email messages that are appointed to be stored in internal storage). when u want account to store messages to the internal storage some times it doesnot work in order to get this worked just go to MESSAGING and MENU >>>> OPTIONS >>>> and here u see all accounts and just at left side u see storage and there uncheck the item that says When available use this storage card to store attachements and then RESTART and the problem should now be solved.
Mahmood, Thank you for your reply. Good point.
But my main problem is that I can not install any programs on my Diamond - neither to the Main Memory nor to the Internal Storage.
Any idea how to deal with the ..."Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate"... message?

FIRST install the sdkCERTF.cab see the attachment see if it works !!
which softwares are u installing again if u are installing them again maybe they were not deleted completely u can use taskmanager to terminate the process of that program and then reinstall. Use the Certf cab file and install it in your device may be this will help !!
Well, the whole point of my post is that it does not allow me to install ANY CAB file. I just tried it and copied both programs to the Diamond. After clicking on SDKCert.cab I've got the "Installation of SDKCerts.cab was unsuccessful" and with the TaskMgrv3.0 the message is "The file 'TaskMgr' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file"
What else could be done?
"digitally signed with a trusted certificate" issue
Guys, can anyone help here??? I can not believe that no one knows how to fix this...
If I were to flash my ROM to one of the newer ones from this forum, do you think it would fix the "digitally signed with a trusted certificate" issue?
Got the same issue with rom 1.37 :/
Any ideas since then ?
bringing this back to the top. I am trying to install an autorun that is designed to run from an SD card (not sure if this makes a difference or not) and when I do it says its not a trusted certificate and won't run. Have already installed the sdkcert.cab file and it states it installed correctly, but still the problem persists.
Fixed my install problem
I used Pocket Mechanic to fix registry issues and remove all trace of the program that first failed to install. All subsequent installs work fine.
Great, here we go again!
I've been trying to install tomtom 7 on my replacement HTC DIAMOND after successfully installing it on the first phone but it's just wont find the maps.
The same files that I used to install on the initial diamaond and the same ones i'm trying to install on the new device.
The meta file has been created and all that stuff successfully, copied all the files the the internal storage, get my device id to create the meta file, copied the file created back into the map folder, start tomtom "no maps found".
Anyone got any idea what I'm doing wrong or is it that the files used (maps) have already been installed on a previous device?
cheers
You have a new device so a different devicecode. You need to contact tomtom support for a new mapcode.
From the procedure he describes I don't think that this is actually legal...

You sure its the same version of TomTom 7. Tomtom 7 stand alone VGA version is actually different (in terms of meta) than TomTom 7 for HTC Diamond.
Also, ensure your device ID has not changed.

Be aware of that the maps must be in the first level of the folder, not like
maps/maps only maps or whatever your mapfolder is called, usually the name of the map. This is a common mistake.

Yeah - just dump map folders in the root of the Internal Storage/storage card area
Yeap, the maps are in the first level folders on the storage card with the folder for voice & the raster folder.
So would the general consensus be that it should work on the new device ? I mean bear in mind I have installed it on the other device before and now I'm doing the same process on the new device and following the instuctions down to a T.
Hi, as far I know... After installing TomTom 7 you will have a "filename".bif in Program files\Navigator
open the .bif file and you will see your device code, use the code and you should find the cards.
Greetings Roel

I had Navigon running on my Xperia Z1c under KitKat 4.4.4 without problems, then the battery died and I got myself a Xperia Z3c (D5803) running the Sony stock ROM 23.5.A.0.575 Android 6.0.1
I installed Navigon but I only have the default maps of Andorra, Vatikan and SanMarino. Every attempt to install the maps I need has failed.
I am using (or really not using as it is useless without the maps) Navigon Version 5.7.2 (build.9370,NK 574)
I have already deinstalled every file and folder with "navigon" in it, wiped Dalvik Cache and Cache and reinstalled.
The program installs and at the first run fetches another 750MB of data from the server but when I choose maps and press Update it hang with the screen showing "Downloading"
Garmin Support answered my first mails instantly but during the last days I do not get any information other than "pleas give us the Device-ID and Version of the App (which I have already provided together with screenshots and a Catlog file )
I have already tried downloading the Garmin Xperia Edition Version 5.7.1 (build.9367,NK 574) but the result was the same.
I have a copy of the map-files in my backup from the dead Xperia Z1c but when I copied them to the data/Navigon/map/ folder they were not recognized, probably they need to be registered somewhere in the navigon-app, the map for Austria is named Austria.map but shows up in the selection as Österreich, so there must be some place the names are translated. does anyone happen to know where to insert the information?
Which filters could be useful when turning on Catlog? The file gets too large during the time download and the installation takes.
Any help appreciated

I don't have Garmin and after a brief experimentation with Garmin Xperia edition, decided to never bother with it again. Is there nothing in the settings where you choose the storage path? I know SD card permisions changed with Marshmallow and this may be the source of your problem. A lot of software manufacturers still have the historical /sdcard/maps storage instead of /sortage/*sdcardname*/maps storage. So if it's possible to correct this somewhere in the settings, alternatively try and force it to use onboard storage, rather than the external SD card. Is that an option in the setup? some map programs (like Sygic for example) ask where to install and keep maps.
Reading up a bit, in the older version of Garmin the maps have to be registered in an .xml file. I think it's called navit.xml. Can you see that anywhere?
Have you tried posting a stinking review in the playstore? Sometimes developers like to be seen to reach out with a reply and offer of get in touch.
If you can't get any help from Garmin and no one from XDA can help, it might be time to vote with your feet and move to another app. I can recomend Sygic, once you have set it up and downloaded the maps (to a location of your choosing), it works entirely without data or mobile signal, it doesn't need the nod from google location to start working. The turn by turn audio cues are good enough to use without looking at the map.
I talked to Garmin support on the phone for the third time this week and this time I ewas told, there was a "known problem downloading maps with Android 6.0.1" (maybe my bug-report with Catlog files ) and they would send me a mail with a workaround that another supportteam member had told me did not exist, I will dl the maps to the SDcard directly using a PC and their Program Navigon Fresh Maps (I doubt it will work, as I have tried that before)
I give the another week and the will go for Here together with appropriate reviews.
