Has this been done before

I was wondering if it would be possible to incorperate the htc album zoom and twist functions into a windows mobile internet browser....
It still wouldnt be as good as the i-phones internet browser, however it would be a huge improvement.

Look for Opera mobile 9.5. A fulling working beta version its somewere arround in this forum. Its just like the iphone Safari browser.

New 6.1 Roms?

Well, I'm slightly confused. I searched, didn't find anything in particular for what I'm asking.
Anyways, as I was reading, wasn't Windows Mobile 6.1 supposed to support flash in browser, ale to view all the websites with flash and the such? I just upgraded to the 6.1 open touch and the rom, while really quick and enjoyable, doesn't seem to have that feature BUILT IN. I thought it was native to 6.1. Am I wrong? Did they lie, or can you guys just not implement it yet? Because according to videos I've seen, not only can you view all the videos of flash, but you can also zoom similar to the iphone..which I can't seem to be able to do either.

the ability to view flash in the browser is not explicitly included in WM6.1
rather, the videos of people watching youtube probably include the TCPMP's flash bundle or some other 3rd party software

This is the TCPMP that Fzzyrn was talking about. With this application you can view youtube videos.
Go to youtube.com on your XDA and simply search for a video you want to view. Click on the picture to view the video.
A pop up box will appear, Tap on view video and TCPMP will appear and your able to view the video.

Better than HTC Album?

Hi,
Anyone know application like HTC Album but better?
An application that can view IMAGES and VIDEOS .. but it is finger friendly, easy to operate (zoom, delete, go back).
HTC Album is ok, but it could not view videos ... and sometimes very hard to zoom (does it really work???).

PocketCM image viewer IMO is the best still image viewer, unfortunately will not preview videos

I used to use HTC album, tried PocketCM picture viewer and liked it, but found it too hard to navigate. It would zoom in when I didn't want it to, change pictures accidently. Now I use A_C's S2V, really like it, quick and easy to zoom in and out with the D-pad.

I agree, in my opinion, S2V is the best software to view still images.
I'm not sure if there are any softwares out there made to view still images and videos. I think it's one or the other.

I use right now HTC Album 2 with SJ's Full Player plugin so I can play video directly within. Not the greatest but it will do for now.

I think the best solution is using resco photo explorer

Eyephoto's pretty good too, no video though...

how can i change the sort order in HTC Album?
first image in preview is the last in explorer and so on
i would like to have it sorted upwards

You probably have an old build of HTC Album. The stock build on my HTC Touch Cruise zoomz very easily (via touch screen and jog dial). I once tried an XDA build, but found that gestures would often cause rotation when I wanted to zoom, and zoom when I wanted to rotate.
As for videos, HTC album does preview them, but when you click on it, it opens them in Windows Media Player. Is this the behavior that you experience?
You could try the new HTC album floating around from the Opal/Manilla 2D.

Zooming in Skyfire

Is there any way to zoom into skyfire using the scroll wheel, like in Opera Mobile? I would love to have skyfire as my main browser, but the double tapping to zoom in just doesn't seem as good to me. Thanks.

Nope, version one doesn't zoom with the wheel. Any hacks or registry edits to get that to work? Iris does it, as does the Opera Mobile, but neither of these are server based which is what I'm looking for. I really want some speedy internet browsing.

You touch the screen for zoom. It seem to be one of the better one i seen on windows phone.

I know how to zoom in Skyfire. I just don't like it. I hate double tapping. It just doesn't seem very good since I usually click a link when I double tap. I liked Opera Mobiles option of circling around the d-pad to zoom. I was wondering if there's a hack, registry edit, anything to make it work on Skyfire because I'd like it to be my main browser since it's so fast, but I really hate the zooming, and the hideous resolution... but other than that it's great.
I was going to use Iris for my new browser, but it's not compressed and doesn't use a server so it's still not as fast as Skyfire. And Opera Mini doesn't zoom well either and is almost unusable on a touch screen phone without a stylus.
Maybe I'm just being picky, I'm used to the iPhone browser and I love zooming on that, and one of the reasons I switched to the Fuze rather than any other smartphone is the zoom wheel in opera because I honestly hate double tapping.
So yeah, back to the point. Any suggestions on getting it to work in Skyfire?

Skyfire has their own way of zooming....sorry to say..you wont get the iphone experience using skyfire...if you want to get that iphone experience...try using the iris browser...

well i definitely wish skyfire would improve the zooming it truly does blow
trying to watch hulu and actually getting the video to full the screen is a pain but hey at least we can watch hulu right

Zoom bar doesnt work in Opera

Hi there!
I am having some issues, i cant zoom with the zoom bar while using Opera web browser.
There is no problem while zooming in pictures.
What is the problem and how can i fix it?

Is it the built-in version? Zooming doesn't work with 9.7 beta...

Its 9.5 build 16277.
I just realised something,
i downloadd a .cab file that was called opera ta or something similar. It was supposed to offer multilanguage support, but it didnt so i uninstalled it.
Opera has been that way ever since.
Is there a .cab file so that i can make a fresh install of Opera?
