Hi,
Anyone know application like HTC Album but better?
An application that can view IMAGES and VIDEOS .. but it is finger friendly, easy to operate (zoom, delete, go back).
HTC Album is ok, but it could not view videos ... and sometimes very hard to zoom (does it really work???).
Thanks.
PocketCM image viewer IMO is the best still image viewer, unfortunately will not preview videos
I used to use HTC album, tried PocketCM picture viewer and liked it, but found it too hard to navigate. It would zoom in when I didn't want it to, change pictures accidently. Now I use A_C's S2V, really like it, quick and easy to zoom in and out with the D-pad.
Hi,
use resco photo explorer
I agree, in my opinion, S2V is the best software to view still images.
I'm not sure if there are any softwares out there made to view still images and videos. I think it's one or the other.
I use right now HTC Album 2 with SJ's Full Player plugin so I can play video directly within. Not the greatest but it will do for now.
I think the best solution is using resco photo explorer
Eyephoto's pretty good too, no video though...
Kinoma Play
I've heard good things about Kinoma Play, http://kinoma.com/play/
Being commercialware, I have yet to try it.
how can i change the sort order in HTC Album?
first image in preview is the last in explorer and so on
i would like to have it sorted upwards

You probably have an old build of HTC Album. The stock build on my HTC Touch Cruise zoomz very easily (via touch screen and jog dial). I once tried an XDA build, but found that gestures would often cause rotation when I wanted to zoom, and zoom when I wanted to rotate.
As for videos, HTC album does preview them, but when you click on it, it opens them in Windows Media Player. Is this the behavior that you experience?
You could try the new HTC album floating around from the Opal/Manilla 2D.

Hi all,
I recieved my new touch diamond today (really impressive exept for the battery)
Anyway, I wanted to add an album to the existing ones. The thing is that now, I can't brows threw the albums (iphone way). I have to enter in the library and choose an album. If I scroll up and down, it changes the tracks and does not switch between the albums.
Any ideas to get the iphone like browser back?
Thanks
Mine is the same way. Only i had some songs on the internal storage, then i updated to 1.37. Now it shows those songs in the flip, like ipod, but others i add do not show up. I have to go into library to see them.
I have the same thing. Never figured it out! I think it may only function like that if All Songs are selected and Shuffle is on.
But even that only seems to work occasionally...
I have the same. The touch flow player is just complete disfunctional crap. Dont even bother trying to get it to work because it wont. Your either one of those people which get it working straight away or one that wont ever get it to work. Its useless. Use mediaplayer instead, atleast that works. Its better too as it actually has a volume slider which the touchflow player doesnt which is annoing because that way you have to change your volume all the time and change it back again which I think is way to much trouble.
I agree. I've given up on it and have forked out for Pocket Player 3.
Audiobooster also leaves me with no bass so I can't use that anymore.
It's a real shame HTC have messed thing up so badly as I really liked the old AudioManager player.
Luckily the Diamond battery doesn't last long enough for me to get that pissed off with its functionality!
there's a wide misconception that the phone flicks through like iphone cover flow. it doesn't. what it does is flick through your current album selection or playlist. when we got the phone it looked like cover flow because there were a selection of tracks in one initial list all with different art.

This is not a bug, so why fix it ?
This is just browsing thru your "Playing Now" in stead of browsing thru an album.
If you want functionality like an iPhone, by an iPhone

what no way i'll stick with this functionality. The thing i that they sold it as an album browser (just read all the pre tests) and it would be easyer if it was in fact an album browser, keeping you from having to entre the library each time.
I have to agree, it was definitely positioned as if it performed like cover flow. In no videos or presentations I've seen does it say "look you can see the cover art" - which is essentially all we're getting unless you play all (and then all your tracks are in alpha order and not album or artist order).
Essentially it works but it was a bit naughty of HTC to position it as something it clearly is not.
I can live with it - a bigger issue for me is that my fave photo album never sticks!
In the user guide P68, they say that you can brows threw albums or songs...
And they would be right, you click library first and.... browse through albums or songs. There is no mechanic in the touch-flow music in order to browse albums by flicking and then it showing you the list of songs for that album. I'm sure it's possible but it hasn't been coded in that way.
VGA is just a scaled version of the QVGA.
WVGA is an iPod-like Look & Feel. My apologies
To install, unpack in your "Program Files/Audible/Skins" path.
Enjoy!
Excellent! Now my Xperia looks as it should with Audible.
Nice skin, but do you guys use the Audible player?
I like what you have done, and I know this is a little OT, but I could never get that prog to work. I tried it multiple times on a Wizard, and then on my Tilt. I would always have trouble accessing the library, or it would tell me that I had no connection, when I could surf or email fine. When their support people wanted me to wipe (as in hard reset) my phone to troubleshoot, I gave up on the mobile app. I was so happy when I found Kinoma that I bought it just for the Audible support. I usually put books on my Zune, but I stream the morning paper every day to my Tilt.
Does anyone have a skin for Audible Player that will show correctly on the Treo Pro?
Thanks in Advance!
Green Skin for WVGA (480x800)
Put everything from the zip file into /Program Files/Audible/Skins. Screen shot attached. Enjoy.
Thanks Theory! Nice, clean skin.
Long timo ago till this threat was opened, but:
I use a HTC HD2 with WVGA resolution.
I copied your files to the destined folder. I am able to choose f.e. the ipod skin. But this is huge: I only can see the upper left quarter of the skin!!!
Has anyone an idea why this happens?
The original green skin is ugly and seems also not the right resolution.
Thanks for your answer!
Ps: I installed audible player at the storage card. May this be the problem?
I have the same problem like Prisonierung.
I'm using a HD2 and the AudiblePlayer is installed to the storagecard.
Is there a solution?

You need to install the format 3 version first, then audible manager asks you to update. After this you can play all formats.
Hey gus,
i got a problem with the resolution, no matter which skin i choose... they all look pretty similiar, i just can see the upper right corner.
I'll attach a picture to show you what i mean.
i'm posting this from my phone...
anyone know of a way to open animated gifs on the kaiser? I did some search from my phone to find a way to open the files, and i've only come up w/ two options...Pictures and Videos program and resco photoviewer. Probleam is i can't find the photo's and video cab, and i dont want to pay for reseco. Are there any other free alternatives that i have?
This is the best freeware pictures viewing app bar none, xnview pocket:
There is also a desktop version that I also use.
Enjoy.

MAC

PIE doesn't work...
i think i'm gonna stick w/ opera mobile....i just realized that plays .gifs just fine. i was hoping i could stick w/ a winmo/htc solution...but dah wellz. the only downsize to opera mobile is that it opens the gifs SUPER small, so if you need to you have to zoom in quite a bit.
Poll: Which Photo viewer do you use and like ?
Please post.
EyePhoto, HTC album, but i like first one better.
I was looking for a good one. I think I found what I like, fast, free and good S2V as recomended in Kaiser wiki.
Just came across Resco Photo Viewer Pro v6.33 a week or so ago and it's incredibly fast and efficient; just another great Resco product.
Moved to Kaiser Software.
Resco Photo Viewer & XnView Pocket
Resco Photo Viewer is very good for viewing.
XnView more for pocket editing.
I have used many and xnView pocket (and pc) is still the best and its free.
ImageViewer, 'cause I like to move by fingers on the pictures, zooming on them, rotate, etc. using the whole screen.
The problem is I have lots of folders in my SD card and my Herald is slow, so when launching it takes almost one minute to show the folders' list.
On the other hand, I only watch or show pictures twice a month.
I use to have HTC Album but it was too buggy so now I'm just using the default viewer.
I am starting to look at the SplashPhoto. It worked great on my Palm Treo 680 so maybe Ill give it a shot.
One more vote for xnView.
Like it and use it regularly.
Any out there that are just as good and free?
My resco expired and I miss it
here is it

Is this free forever vversion?
Yes, it's the public Beta.
yes its free untill the end of this month ( untill another the offical version released )
...it's not forever anyway. S2V is another option. Or you take a look at HTC Album 3 from Rhodium ROMs. Good luck and let us know when you found something better than resco. Cheers
Just out of curiosity, why are you guys adverse to the Media Panel for viewing pictures? ...Well besides the fact that it won't launch by clicking on a picture through file explorer, but how often do we really do that anyway?
As for the above suggestion of S2V, I can not agree, it is extremely slow and buggy when you have a big library of pictures, and the majority of your pictures are high res. HTC Album is really good though.
