Hi all, anyone know of any reg hacks for Voda's SatNav to rotate the screen, already use GSen and it works ok but has the habit flipping the screen quite alot when going round corners and not returning to Horizontal alignment and it's bloody annoying, so was thinking a application rotate would be better.
Thanks in advance.

Hi.
I'm wondering if there is a way to make the HTC home plugin to rotate the screen to the left and not right. It is annoying having to tap the icon twice to get i right.
The HTC home screen has a function that rotates the screen the way I want it, but I don't fancy using the home screen.
Stian.
Did you ever figure it out? Driving me bonkers too
Let me know if you figured out a solution. I'm stumped too. Programs that auto-rotate go the right way for a right-handed person. It's just the HTC Home plugin that defaults to a lanscape for left-handed people.
WMP also rotates the "wrong" way.
Doesn't do it to me. But I'm using one of Dutty's ROM. The only time it does the wrong rotation is when I view HTC albums.
I have the T-Mobile Vario III version of the Kaiser.
When I flip up the screen it rotates to landscape with the thumbpad to the left the way I'd like it to. If I press the rotate option available in the in application launcher, it rotates the opposite way.
Is it possible to make it rotate the same way as when it is flipped open?
I tried options for left and right handed use but it never rotated correctly.

Same question for me...
I would like this too
Is there a way to disable the screen orientation change when you slide the keyboard out on the tilt. I have a hard time using the on screen dialer and like to use the keyboard to dial however there is a good 1-2 second lag between when I slide the keyboard out and when I can start dialing. I'd like to disable the auto orientation and assign it to a button.
Thanks
I am of the same mind - that would be a great. I also prefer to use the hard dialer, and typically keep the screen in landscape so there isn't any of the delay that the change of screen orientation would cause.
I would however prefer to keep it in portrait, but as of yet I have not found a way to do that.
Has anyone discovered how this could be done?
Thanks
Steve
Sorry, my comment is: Wrong direction, you'd better solve this problem, rather than disable the keyboard screen orietation:

Check here the big sticky!
This runs in a strange manner.
For instance, why can I not keep Gsen toggle on so that I can rotate to horizontal when writing sms/e-mail, even after switching off/reseting the device?
Also, has anyone noticed that when Gsen is toggled on, there is a white pixel at the top of the screen near the battery, signal icon etc? This is not neccesarily a fault, as I wouldn't know it was activated without it to be honest...
I'm using the Gsen toggle that came with Swift v6.0 ROM.

In Gsen configure, press file/startup and there you can activate it to be on all the time.
As for pixel, that's designed into the app.
Thanks very much! Such a useful app. I remember when I first started researching whether to buy the Diamond or not, one of the criticisms was that it did not auto-rotate when texting etc; so glad this has been fixed by clever developers!
Update - I find gsen to be very temperamental. Sometimes when I got to rotate the screen, it doesn't let me bring the keyboard up, and another time half the screen when black every time I tried. So I have disabled it for the time being.
Anyone else experienced this?
*bump* Anyone?

I had the same problem but i was trying to use the compact keyboard when portrait and qwerty when lansscape. When i just selected qwerty the problem went. also the newest version removes some of the bugs.
The thing that bugs me is that it rotates the screen when locked!
Am using windows Mobile 6.1 and all the screen rotate pannels etc I have found apparently were for a previous version of windows mobile? I have no idea just can't get them to work on install.
Am at the point now where I am just so annoyed of having to pull out my keyboard whenever I want to be playing music etc.
Anyone point me in the right direction
been an idle lurker here for months, just hate messaging. Keep up the good work guys
I can't figure out exactly what you want the phone to do..
The Xperia X1 does not have an accelerometer, so it can't 'feel' how it is oriented if that's your problem. The only way to rotate the screen is through settings - screen orientation, or sliding out the hardware keyboard.
I hope it helps...
- Sofa
you could always map a button to rotate the screen...
AE Button plus.
quickmenu also provides rotate
maybe a little less comfortable as you need to access the respective submenu manually
Why didn't I think of that... Mapped a button.
Thankya.
BUMP
nobody with ideas?
ok i guess you want to rotate screen with some software.. ?
SPB Mobile Shell (available as a panel for free) or SPB Pocket Plus (commercial) both provide such a feature.
