Is there a way to change the default program a program uses?
Like a gallery out something
I accidently choose to use the default app for selecting the ringer for an alarm clock
and I want to change it
Is there a way I can do that?

Hello. I am looking for an app I can use to auto set the volume for Scout, (my gps app), to high when started, then revert the volume back to the way it was when the app is stopped.
Is there anything out there like that? There should be, right?
I currently use Volume Locker just to lock my ringer volume, but it appears that app doesn't have the functionality I'm looking for.

have you tried Volume Control +
or there is always Tasker
Tasker is definitely the one.
Thank you.

Been having this problem or bug in using the Smart Key app in controlling the Walkman app (playing, pausing, next track, previous track control) sonce 290. Seems not functioning whenever the screen is locked and player isn't showing on the lockscreen. Also when I tried to swipe the lockscreen from the left, you know to add widget on the lockscreen, it seems like it's refuaing. It keeps going back to the default lockscreen. Screenshot for your reference. Hope someone can shed some light on this matter.

How does one program the QuickButton in CM11? What are the possibilities and limitations?
Thanks,

You'll need to edit /system/usr/keylayout/gpio-keys.kl . My CM11 ROM for the D415 maps this key to wake the device. The QuickButton key ID is 250 and is named "INFO".
This is how the QuickButton entry looks like in gpio-keys.kl. ( From my ROM )
Code:
key 250 INFO WAKE
All that's needed is to change the "WAKE" part of the line listed above. The following list can be successfully used in place of the "WAKE" portion above.
CALCULATOR - Launch default Calculator app
CALENDAR - Launch default Calendar app
CALL - Launch default Dialer app
CAMERA - Launch default Camera app
CONTACTS - Launch default Contacts
ENVELOPE - Launch default Email app
EXPLORER - Launch defualt Browser app
MUSIC - Launch default Music app
None if the entries in the list above will WAKE the phone. The phone must be awake.
After editing, save the file and then reboot the device to implement the changes.
I remounted /system 'rw', changed WAKE to CALL, remounted /system 'ro', rebooted, looked at /system/usr/keylayout/gpio-keys.kl and the change is there after the reboot, but the QuickButton doesn't bring up the phone. Bummer.
The phone was awake when I pushed the QuickButton.

Sorry. Correction... Change "INFO" to one of the apps listed and remove "WAKE". Save then reboot.

That works. We can mark it "SOLVED" and close it.
