settings and alarms - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I have a ATT TILT 8925. Has anyone else had the same problem that I'm having with my alarm and notification settings? They keep turning themselves off. When i first got the phone about a month ago my notifications we're working with no problem. Now my notifications including alarms and messaging don't vibrate, flash, or play a sound even after I have checked the boxes each box for each event. I have installed the htchome skin and tcpmp on it but nothing else.

Check this thread out.

E-Mail Received Alarm

For the life of me, I can't get the sound and visual alarms to work when I receive new email. I have checked, unchecked, rechecked in sounds and notifications and soft reset. Still won't work. I couldn't find the fix after searching. Anyone else have this problem... and a fix?
Can anyone help?
No email nottification in wake or sleep mode?
Try closing messaging application.
In my unit if I let the phone go to sleep while in "Messages" mode it will not sound "new email alert"
It sounds like your problem is related to the wake/sleep problems being discussed in this thread:

No solution has been found yet. I recommend you keep an eye on that thread.
Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep an eye out for solutions. Problem is I don't get the notification even when the Kaiser is awake and I'm not in the messages program. The same was true with my Tytn I. I'm on At&T, if that means anything.

Notification Issues (MLB At Bat & CNN)

Hi. Long time iPhone user but new to Android as of two weeks ago. Bought the HTC One (AT&T) and am loving it so far.
However, I have been having issues concerning notifications through a couple apps. Specifically the MLB At Bat app and the CNN app. Let me start by saying that I have received notifications without issue when it comes to email, texts, and Facebook.
Now, with At Bat, I have notifications set up in the settings for the app (specifically for my favorite baseball team), and I technically do get notifications. What I mean by that is, if I happen to turn on my phone, I will see that a notification previously came in. However, I do not receive any audio or vibration feedback to accompany the notification. So, the phone doesn't actually alert me. The same case is true with the CNN app. In the settings for the app, I have set up to receive notifications for breaking news. Again, I technically get the notifications sent to my phone, so they will be there when I happen to check the phone for whatever reason. But when the notification is sent, I am not alerted in any way (no tone or vibration).
As I said before, I get notifications (accompanied with audio tone and vibration) without issue when it comes to emails, texts, and Facebook. I have scowered the system settings and the settings on the individual apps but everything appears to be in order. Thanks in advance for any help or direction you fine folks can provide.
edit: Also, I have uninstalled and reinstalled both apps, but nothing has changed.

[Q] Musical melody notification for gmail - how to turn off

I've noticed this a few times and haven't figured out a way to stop it - when I get a new email, a musical notification will begin playing and does NOT stop until I unlock the phone and dismiss the notification or open gmail.
I've already tried changing the notification sound within the gmail settings to "Silent" but that doesn't seem to fix. Never had this issue on my GS3 so I'm assuming it's a Motorola thing.
Anyone know what I'm talking about? Not sure how to explain it. I'm 95% sure it's related to getting gmail notifications, but I guess it could be a different app (I generally leave my phone on vibrate so it's only happened a few times when my notification sounds are on). It's a musical melody that doesn't seem to end, not a short notification like everything else is.

Not getting push notifications for Facebook on my Mi3

Hi guys
I haven't been receiving any push notifications for Facebook on my Mi3 since the day I bought it. I played around with the settings, set the right permissions, hard reset my phone a few times, but it still doesn't work.
I have no problem in receiving push notifications from other apps though. It's just facebook that doesn't work.
Please advise
Thanks
SOLVED
***FINALLY got the push notifications for Facebook working on my Mi3***
Anyone else who is facing the same problem but have already set facebook to auto start, cleared data and have done everything they could and it's still not working, here is the fix that worked for me.
Go to your facebook account (web) and under settings > notifications check whether your Text Notifications are disabled or not. If it's disabled, enable it and check if you get the notifications on your phone. If you do, you can turn off the Text notifications and check again. Mine still works even after I turned it back to OFF.
Back in love with my Mi3

Disruptive notifications

Went from a Note 8 to the Note 9, anyone else notice that some notifications are super disruptive and find the setting to resolve? Maybe I'm just missing something, but seems like notifications like facebook for example are awful.
Doesn't seem to matter if it's youtube, VLC, Poweramp, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. If I get a facebook notification, as it's the worst, it will pause my currently playing movie/music/video for a good 2-3 seconds and then resume playing. I didn't have this on the Note 8 and it's driving me nuts lol.
I figure it has to be a os setting issue (as all notifications do this) but I can't find a way to change it other than disabling all notifications all together.
I'm having the same issues. Was hoping this thread wasn't empty.
I was having the same problem. If you go into Settings > Notifications, you can manage notifications for each app. I don't remember for sure, but I think just about all of my apps' notifications were ON by default! I shut them all of, then re-enabled just the ones on wanted! Sometimes you individual apps will also have different settings for notifications, too. But at least going into settings allows you to just shut them all down for an app. Thank goodness! No more Facebook notifications! Just be careful what you shut off. I shut off messages by mistake. I wondered why I wasn't getting notified when I got a text.
