Wad a crap! My guess is, you working at P.D.A.C.
Well dear HTC holders, D O N O T B U Y neither PDAC and Eyron.
Because you’ll get stuck (like I right now) with the program that seems don't want to go with the time. There is enough support for Hebrew and Russian that you can find on XDA. You will get just enough here to use PDA, plus will get to enjoy new ROM's.
Don't take me wrong, I willing to pay (as appreciation for work), but these companies have to move faster adjusting to new developments, and yes be a little cheaper. I hope this message will get to these companies and will make them to start moving their lazy a..
hi, i wan to install chinese on X1... wat should i do??
Use google my friend but that will probably bring you back to these forums. You can't change the language in Windows Mobile. You'll need to flash the ROM of your phone, and write the chinese X1 ROM on to it. I'm looking into it myself to, and as far as I know it isn't without risk and it's quite a specific procedure.
Perhaps these topics will get you started:

Actually you can install CE-Star on your mobile. That'll get you up and running with Chinese.
CE-Star does indeed can even change the menus of a English ROM into Chinese.
On the topic of the Chinese input and reading only, I use CE-Star to get the reading and fonts. However CE-Star's input method is pretty archaic and IMO doesn't gel with the hardware keyboard very well. For example there is no keyboard short cut to switch between English and Chinese input on the fly (at least none I can find).
After some research on mainland China Sony Ericsson websites comes up PlumSIP to be a very popular input software in mainland China. It uses the "au" key on the hardware keyboard as a toggle between Chinese and English input. You can download it free in on the developer's website below.

I don't know if it'll work without CE-Star, I haven't tired to have PlumSIP without CE-Star. I've both installed and use PlumSIP for input. The other WM Chinese input software ZTA4 (is also good) doesn't work without CE-Star installed to read Chinese.
<EDIT> Ok I double read the Chinese site, and you can use PlumSIP without CE-Star, just add the fonts to display Chinese text. For more info check this thread: http://sebbs.it168.com/thread-1370026-1-2.html
is there anyway i can change chinese interface to english? i search it on the forums and all i got is i need to flash rom on my phone. so,, there is really no other way to do it myself??

hi all
im looking for a way to change the t9 dictionary that xt9 uses in my custom rom. but untill now i cant
i found this site:
http://mobile.etechniker.com/index....&catid=66:tutorials--hacks&Itemid=102&lang=en
but thats not any good :\
could anyone help me on this one pls i'd like a Dutch dictionary, thanks
I don't think this website is for the X1 phone. There are most of the stated settings/reg keys not available on X1.
Well, this is the section for it I think?
If anyone successfully added a new dictionary I hope they can help me.
I just purchased a T8285 recently, but need help in flashing/changing the interface language to Traditional Chinese.
As all you know, the T8285 is the Australian version (supports 850 3G band).
I need the ROM language version from T8282 in Traditional Chinese (sold in Asia -- aka Taiwan/Hong Kong version).
I have not done any phone ROM flashing before, so a step-by-step instruction would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks again!
Starting with the "sticky" threads and the wiki would help you alot!
Instructions on flashing: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377
Most shipped roms, just find the one in the language you need: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blackstone_Ship_exe
Finding a ROM in traditional Chinese may prove difficult here. For the most part, you're going to have to look on forums that center around the Taiwan and Hong Kong XDA communities. While xda-developers is perceived by many as the "main" xda site, in reality it is almost completely devoid of Asian language ROMs. Usually what you'll find here in CHT are crap ROMs from a long ago.
For Simplified Chinese CHS: you can turn to http://bbs.592ppc.com and http://www.xda-china.com. 592 is also a good place to get provisioning CABs for the three 3G networks on the mainland.
For Traditional Chinese CHT:

Also, htc-world.com etc. I don't really know much about the CHT scene, but there seem to be many ROMs to choose from.
If what you want is just the ability to operate in a Chinese world with your phone, it is rather easy to add Chinese language support to an English phone. While the system pages may still be written in English, applications will have no trouble displaying Chinese and you'll be able to send and receive text in Chinese.
To do this you'll need:
1) An Asian language supporting wince.nls file. You just use Total commander to copy it over the file in your \Windows directory.
2) A traditional Chinese font. You can get this from your Windows PC.
3) You'll need to add that font to your FontLink entries in your registry.
* Many ChineseFont CABs do steps 2 & 3 for you, but you can do it yourself.
4) An input method. The best I think is A4 2.8 (not 2.4) for Dopod HD. It's a PinYin keyboard that supports both simplified and traditional, but as well has English support sufficient for me (a native English speaker) to use for 100% of my typing.
If you need any help with these things, just let me know.
