this is not a bug just a textfile used from the iolite instead of jade.

6.5.3 ROM to use with Mobile Shell?

I find Manila 2.5 unusable and use Mobile Shell instead, but I do like the big buttons etc in 6.5.3. Does anyone know of a bug-free 6.5.3 ROM that's built without Manila, or perhaps with Manila 2.1?

A stable WM 6.5.X rom without manila???

Could anyone name some WM 6.5.X Roms(with the start button and close button at the bottom) which are stable and fast?
I want to make WM6.5.X as my primary OS on my device / currently its WM6.1, and testing some WM 6.5 Roms with manila 2.5--very buggy and sometimes very lagy, compared to WM6.1--- so I wish to get rid of manila and use Titanium or maybe some else today user interfaces...
In short:
Please name some WM 6.5.X Roms which are fast and stable without manila or with disable manila!
Or clean and fast + stable Wm6.5.X Roms

think you will get the default answers here, as it's depending on youre personal opinion.
But as i tested many ROMs in past time i would recommend NRG Series to you - I like it most.
Some things to know:
He has WM bulids with 21xxx and 23xxx ( 23xxx are with bottom buttons, 21xxx with normal WM6.5)
u will finde sens 2.5 in Leo thread
and sense 2.1 (old sense) and titanium (without sense/manilla) version in Phoenix thread.
In 23xxx bulids HTC Volume control doesn't work. Didn't find any working now...
Sometimes bluetooth Headset control just gets hooked by WMPlayer - but there are fixes out.
Oh nearly forgot he also has a "clean" 6.5 ROM in android section.

Labas braliukas,
try and taste "Park's" roms, you will be surprised.

Exactly what I am after, love the new 24001 WM6.5.5 version.
Always turn off Manila and use IphoneToday

Just take a look to my signature.. it is WM6.5 not WM6.5.x but a try does worth it!

You can try Energy's ROMs without manila on it.

6.5 or 6.1

I started this thread because I see much 6.5 ROMS right now. Some of you (atleast me) wanting a 6.1 ROM. You can also have a ROM with LEO or TF3D.
Discuss here and maybe the ROM developers can make it easier.

6.1 is pretty fast, but Titanium has everything I need, so 6.5 it is.

You got a point there, but developers can see which ROM the X1 users would prefer.

some chefs cook rom from their own personal taste and just shares it to people

6.5 is cool, but 6.1 is definitely faster on X1 (regardless of whether you use TF3D or no), so ... 6.1

Switched back to stock 6.1 because this is the fastest ROM.

Currently WM6.1 with SPB mobileshell. Superfast is the only reason. Like 6.5 more tho, but havnt found any good cook yet. All 6.5 cooks is buggy, hangs, SOD etc. etc..
Clean 6.5 cook with _SPEED_ would be nice, then I can install whatever I want
Maybe this thread could be both discussion of wich ver. to use, show current, help etc.?

I have tried several WM6.5 ROMs like Christians Clean, X1.5, Infinite, Pure, Energy, 826X...
They are all quite fast, but compared to the stock ROM the UI is VERY SLOW!!!
My HTC Wizard with a 200 MHz CPU and [ROM][WM6.5.x][6.5.1.7 - 23085][6.5.0.2 - 21869][Clean] - MSD Series >> 4-Nov-2009 has a much faster responding UI.
WHY??? The X1 has a 528 MHZ CPU!
Is it caused by the high resolution display of the X1 with a 4 X higher resolution?
Or does all WM6.5 ROMs use other (slower) system drivers instead of the 6.1 stock rom ones?

hi! there is mr rusch with touch flo3d or without touchflo3d? would mobile spb shell replace the flipping clock and the wheater animation?

According to your Signature you are also running Nuts so you should know?
Well, im not using tochflo at all, disabled everything as "Today" and running SPB on top of that.

I discovered that stability and speed is most important for me. So, WM 6.1. I also install Mobile Shell for fingerfriendly UI and FingerSuite.v1.12rc8 for fingerfriendly menu's. TF3D is only an eyecandy for me. Mobile Shell is better for me, because it is faster and customizable. I install some fingerfriendly software and Xperia is ready to use.

I go for coolness and usefullness rather than speed. I do not want to go back to WM6.1 ever again... I recently had a customer with a 6.1 ROM and OMG, it's so old and hard to use/configure compared to 6.5.5

I kept trying WM 6.5 over and over but.. It's just too slow!
Switched back to PCTech4u, best WM 6.1 rom out there.

I need your help/opinions about SE x1 windows mobile 6.1 because i'am just new at this phone so i have many things to learn.. i saw some amazingly cool applications here but not worked at my phone properly like EzInput keyboard, i like that application but it doesn't work right, it appears small on screen,, can someone help me? thank's in advance..

EZinput probably doesnt work because you need the WVGA version of it. Your phone screen has a WVGA resolution.
SPL and ROM, you can go to the Xperia X1 HardSPL thread and find more information about it.
I dont think theres any "best" version of windows or TouchFlo3D because they all have their pro and cons. You can just try it by yourself and see which one you like the most.
TouchFlo3D and SBP shell have nothing to do with each other. They both change your today screen though. You wouldnt need a ROM change/update if the software you're trying to install is compatible with your current one. Judging from what you said, your current ROM is running Windows Mobile 6.1. So you should be looking for WinMo 6.1 applications that are compatible with your WVGA resolution.

thanks XtriFe for answering it, i saw some touchflo 3d but forgot the version, in the instructions for installing, one of it say's change the SIP something, what is that SIP or SIP selector..? thanks again

The easiest way to get Touch Flo on the X1 is to flash a new ROM with TouchFlo. There are helpful tutorials on the ROM development section on how to download and flash custom ROMs.
SIP can stand for 2 things, either as Soft Input Panel, meaning input apps like the onscreen keyboard and handwriting recognition, or Seesion Initiation Protocol, usually in connection with VOIP programs. For your question, it's most probably referring to the first one.
SPB mobile shell is an app to customize the toda screen, and there are versions of it that make our Today screen look like the TouchFlo interface, but you're not limited to TouchFlo (see Windows Mobile Development and Hacking>Themes for SPB MS themes/layouts)
