flash to a different rom.
I just flashed to it earlier today and had problems until I removed the SD as well... If you reflash it w/o the SD in the phone, you should be good... Mine is working fine.
Use a file explorer (Total Commander or Resco) to rename \Windows\omap850_sdhc.dll to omap850_sdhc.dll.old and reboot.
Hello,
i have accidentally deleted the wrong folder on my GPS and now i can not boot it anymore.
hardware details:
Sony NV-U50
without SD card slot.
what i have done
originally this device has the sony nav-u navigation software installed running on windows CE....
i have found here in the forum and other forums some posts on how connect the device to my pc and get the igo8 running on it.
so after doing all the procedure i got igo8.3 to run on that device.
but i had to manually start it via total commander.
so i have deleted the contend from the nav-u folder and replaced it with the igo folder contend... and now the device does not boot anymore :-(
after the sony splash screen i get a picture with "INSTALL" text.
before i did all this i have done a backup from the folder but now is the question how do i get it back on the device? i can not connect it back to my pc... it does not get to the sync mode anymore...
any advice would be helpful and would save me from buying a new device.
thank you very much.
also i have opened the device to search for a flash card or something....
i could not find any storage card :-(
http://www.google.com/search?client...store+the+OS&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
thanks for the answer
but the first 3 results are from me asking this question.
and i did not receive an answer.
1.) I dont know how to move ThumbKeyboard.apk to system/app
- astro wont let me copy the file there
- i cant see the directory on my pc
- i havent understood how adb works, i know how the device emulator works, but i dont know how to get it to work with the nook
2.) Everybody talks about clockwork recovery, and i've understood that one needs it to flash kernels and zips (something like that)
- but i cant find it anywhere?
EDIT: i have found clockwork recovery, was something in the rom manager
3.) I somehow cant get my alternate pdf viewers to read files on the internal memory, they just somehow want to access the sd card.
- cant they access the internal memory or
- am i too ....
i've tried repligo reader and some few others
i've been siting for quite awhile with my NC already today, but those questions I couldnt figure out, please help.
Weird bro, good luck fixing those.

1. Download root explorer. Astro wont do it as it won't mount /system/app in r/w.
2. Easiest thing to do is get the bootable clockwork recovery from monster I believe. The thread is in the dev forum.
My NC has become very slugish. Most times it works fine and I have to press some buttons a few times, till they actually get pressed, I've also noticed that I often have to wait 1/2 to 1 second till I can actually scroll a listing, like the widgets.
If I dont wait I sometimes end up opening something instead of scrolling.
That is not the big deal, but sometimes the NC becomes completely unresponsive, in GoogleMaps I try to pinch to zoom in, first it does nothing, then it zooms out a bit and afterwards zooms in a lot more.
Also sometimes I dont even touch the screen and it zooms around and does freaky stuff, this can happen everywhere.
Hi guys,
Ok, so I've been Googling like a mofo for the past 3-4 days, trying this and that, investigating my issues, and I still need some help.
I've got a Bell I9000M that I would describe as the following:
1) Boots into any rom I flash via Odin (so far just GB and Froyo)
2) Internal SD works (I can see my files via USB), but "Internal Storage" shows unavailable.
3)I also flashed this phone before backing up my EFS folder so my unlock number is scrambled. I have a backup of the post unlocking-attempt EFS folder, but am unable to copy this back to where it needs to be. I've tried with ADB and no dice and I've tried copying it in with the phone on using Root Explorer - Root Explorer will copy the files back (and I'll even get the no SIM icon after a few minutes), but everything's gone and the EFS folder is empty when I reboot.
I'm kinda stuck. I just got this phone off CL last week thinking I'd flash it and go on my merry way like I normally do. I wasn't aware of the I9000M's horrid reliability. Anyway, any help would be appreciated!

use the solutions on Quick fixes and solutions link below, especially the guide on how to make efs stick after reboots
Ok, so I did the making the IMEI/efs stick and it seems to have rectified everything for me! IMEI is back to what it should be, baseband is back, storage reads properly. Wow! I'm ecstatic right now! I've been dicking with this thing since last Friday and you've got me sorted in under 10 minutes, brilliant!
If you ever pass through British Columbia, let me know! I'll buy you a beer or something
Thanks again!
Well I just couldn't leave well enough alone. Have been working on my son's phone as it has a ROM problem after an update which I am still working through, but in the process I thought I would out of curiosity check to see if my phone was stock and surprise surprise, it went into a custom recovery, CWM. Now the issue is I rebooted out of that and went back to the normal screen, and everything appeared to be as it was before I went into the bootloader screen, but in the process when I connect the phone to the PC, it no longer displays the detailed file structure it just displays Android, clockworkmod, mnt and storage folders and AVG, nmdsdcid, ppe_fleetdb and WMPInfo files. I can't look at any photos or anything else that I had on my phone.
Thanks
Wayne
Problem is sort of fixed. I looked further into the file structure and found the folders were still there as per the attachment. What have I done, that it no longer comes up with these folders as the main screen. I have to drill down everytime I want to check the contents of the phone.
