i like the battery gauge, and it also comes withalot of other cool features
Hi:
Mt favorite is Vistahide Battery Gauge.
It is very simple and doesn't take up precious today screen space. It is the very thin colored line at the top of my screen (see attached screenshot), the line is much easier to see in person, the screenshot seems to cut it off a little bit. The line starts to disappear and get closer to the red side, as the battery drains, which makes it very easy to see how much you have left.
PS: If you're interested I'd be happy to post exe file for you.

Batti does this too, and i'm very happy with it. You can optimize it by changing some settings - uncheck "always on top" because it doesn't play nice with pocket IE, and i like to make it thinner and wider - by default it's like 8 pixels tall, and has a 30 or so pixel margin on the left - i make it 2 or 3 pixels tall and have no left or right margins. it also indicates charging, low battery, etc. it's very customizable and the settings are easy. it's also free.

Sounds cool, I'll check it out too. The only thing is if you don't have it on top, then I guess you don't lnow how much battery you have when using IE? Vistahide does work well with IE, and other programs.

It's only not visible in full screen mode, anything with a top bar shows it, i just checked. Is Vistahide free?

Hi:
yes, vistahide is free.
Hi Mike:
I got your PM, here is the exe file for Vistahide battery gauge.
You just need to put the exe file on your phone, and click to run it. It will not install a program folder etc, so if You ever decide to ununstall it, you just delete the exe file from wherever you put it.
Also, if you want it to restart automatically after soft resets, you will need to make a shortcut of exe, and place it in Windows folder.
If you have any questions, just let me know
Hi, can you zip and post VistaHide here?

Not a programmer but I've worked through most adds to my Tilt. Got my TomTom working and the weather fixed on the HTC Home.
How do I make the shortcut of exe to put in windows? I love the gage and want it to always be there.

One similar gauge is LVM Top Bat from Molski. You can find it on google...

navigate to the file in file explorer, hold the stylus down on it, and push "copy". then, navigate to the windows directory, push "Menu" in the bottom right corner, and then push Xpaste as shortcut"
hope this helps...

It did. Thanks.
Was looking for "send shortcut to desktop" type of thing instead. Works on resets now.
Just received the ATT Tilt, but I am having some issues with the top of the screen showing a thin rainbow bar. Looking at it closely, it appears that the today theme does not fully cover the top area of the screen and this is where the rainbow bar sips through; this happens in all the other windows as well (apps, settings) and even when I rotate the screen, the rainbow bar moves position to coincide with the screen orientation. I tried switching to different Today themes to see if this rainbow dissapears, but no luck. It's strange that this effect does not happen on the splash screen (everything is one color), but immediately appears once the windows mobile 6 menu loads. Below is an image of a today screen with the similar problem.
I would appreciate any suggestions on how to remove this darn bar....it's driving me crazy!I am hoping that this is not a screen defect and can be adjusted by some settings change.
Thanks!
haha thats a battery meter. Probably from one of the applications you installed.
rofl......i think thats the vistahide battery gauge. if it is, then all you have to do is delete the vistahide link from the windows\startup folder and then softreset
I removed the vistahide battery gauge from the start up applications and now I have a beautiful black screen! YAY!
Thanks guys for the heads-up on this...I really appreciate it.
rofl =)))
Funny, but yeah, your question is perfectly fine.. just funny how something can be loved by some and hated by others.
Hi, i removed it from start up but it still doesn't work. can someone help me out?
thanks
Have you restarted after removing the shortcut?
Batti can also do the same kind of color bar, maybe that's the one you have.
I soft reset it
should i reset with the pin?
where would i find batti?
thanks
In one of dutty's older roms there was something in it that made it so when you touched the upper right part of the screen you got an exploded view of that was up there like the message notification icon, battery (if shown) , etc (also you had the ability to press them)... I tried a couple of searches and it seems as if the link dutty listed for his cabs is down and my searches returned nada. If anyone could help me locate this that would be awesome!!

Perfect! Just what I was look for. Thanks!!!!!
I tried out quickmenu to see if I liked the battery icon on the taskbar. I didnt, so I deleted it. Now, the default "down arrow" that tells you whats currently running is GONE and I cant get it back? Its in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
Running WM 6.1 and Sleuth 3.0
Any help appreciated!
As well as if anyone knows which battery status program gives you a green battery icon with a percentage as well
Thanks in advance!
Or if I want to keep QuickMenu and remove the original battery meter, how can i do this? I thought there was a registry hack but I cannot find it anywhere...
settings/systems/task manager check the correct box.....
easy as PIE...or piece of cake..
Haha, and I did a hard reset because of this...
I'm just curious as to why this was brought up from the depths ;-;
just a quick questions, the top & bottom black bars on the windows main page, is there any way to change the colours of them? various themes change the colour for a bit, but soon after they swop back the black bar setup!
is there a program or tweak that can do this?
cheers guys
Try this yet?
Hope that helps
Also This?
or what about RCMod in This post?
It only took maybe 3 minutes to find all these
The "Search" in the very top and NOT the "Search this Thread" will yield nice results for you
Many thanks mate, thought about it when i was in a trainstation and couldnt get the search function to work properly on my phone(slow connection) so gave up! Will make sure i do next time though.
thanks again
