I have a problem with SMS composing and searching provided no solution.
I start a new SMS and when I fill "To" field I press TAB to get to the message field. But nothing happens.
How to correct this? I have SMS threading disabled.
Thanks for your help.

Hi there
I too suffered this very same problem, I fixed it by installing KaiserTweak and disabling the D-Pad Scroll navigation under Pocket IE, as instructed by Raiisak in post #123 in the following thread...

Cheers again Raiisak!

found this thread in general but nobody response to it there..so i just wonder maybe somebody can help..i am having the same problem...
Hi all,
I am posting a thread after 3 hours of checking the internet to see if others report the same bug.
I am currently using a Kaiser with WM6. Just to describe my problem, when i enter the SMS application (mailbox) and i click on an SMS to read it, the bottom of the page is displayed first (usually blank screen), so everytime i need to use the scroll bar to see the message content which is on the top of the page.
I know it is not a major issue but it's still really annoying. As i said i have been looking everywhere but so far with no chance. This might be a registry problem, maybe caused by the installation of a program, but i don't have anything fancy on my mobile so far.
Anyway, thanks in advance for your help.
Bye
Please search these forums before posting a thread. This has been addressed multiple times on this forum. Solution is to disable d-pad navigation in the pocketIE section of kaisertweak.
Known issue:
Have you Kaiser Tweak installed? Disable D-Pad Scroll Navigation for PocketIE,
beause this tweak causes that behaviour.
This will solve the issue.
Greetz,
Hans Olo
That is a known issue when you have installed KaiserTweaks and enabled D-Pad scroll navigation for PocketIE. Just set that value to Disabled (Default) and problem solved.

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone has experienced the following before (I can't find any mention of it in various Kaiser FAQs etc)?
When I click on an SMS (and possibly MMS and E-Mail) the device automatically scrolls way past the bottom of the content and I have to manually scroll up to actually read it. I could understand it doing this if I was replying to the message, but I'm just clicking to view it.
I've experienced it on a couple of ROMs now - Dutty's dualtouch and Kaiser release so it seems to be something deep-rooted in the OS / messaging software.
Attached is 3gp video which demonstrates the problem. The quality is real bad but it's enough to see what's going on.
Any help would be highly appreciated as this is starting to become a bit of an annoyance!
An option in KaiserTweak causes this, you need to disable "D-Pad scroll Navigation" under "PocketIE". This should do the trick...

Thanks for the quick response but disabling that doesn't seem to make a difference
Same Here
I'm having the same problem (versions below). Any ideas?
hmmm... it should work... Are you sure you disabled it? Just to show you I didn't just make up a solution , here is a link to another thread which states that disabling d-pad navigation should solve the issue...

Soft reset did the trick, thanks all!

Thanks a lot!
Dear forum,
I've followed the instructions to make iGO8 work on my Diamond, found in this forum, completely and iGO8 works well.
The only thing, rendering it unusable for me is that when entering the address search mode and clicking on "select street" the field where I usually enter the street name gets spammed by "å" chars constantly. I tried everything, uninstalled everything except TouchFLO.
Is this problem known?
The iGO8 version is 8.3.2.80621.
Thanks in advance
panni
Update:
I've found a solution provided in a huge iGO8 thread on ppcw forums. Edit data.zip/config/keybind.txt and add the following to the [default] section:
x87="NOP"
xE5="NOP"
this problem too can be solved, by using in settings for backlight, you have to use option "use same as device" and no problem, or in settings.ini , add number 2 for power option - this one i discovered with myself
Greetz
thanks for info
i ll try it

Ah, thanks for the tips, interesting.
That explains the strange behavior on "always on"-mode, I guess the iGO guys constantly spam control chars, which normally shouldn't be handled by the input boxes in the street view, to overcome backlight/power management of the device.

I had exactly the same problem, only that this solution didn't work for me; The solution to set change the power setting from 'backlight always on' to 'use device setting' did work though. So, thanx!
I had the same problem and many thanks for the solution, it works perfect
Thanks
Thank you all for sharing this, it's working fine for me with changing the configuration file from data.zip . Stupid bug

Hallo
I'm tired of all the the time hitting "send" by mistake when I'm typing a sms.
Does there exist a tweak so you need to hold the send bottom in for a while for it to send? So you can't press it quick..
The right notice
I have suffered from this when using extra thingie to enter (exotic) estonian letters like äüöõšž and if the device slows down a bit there (it happened just few times) then I notice that I unfortunately have pressed Send because the softbutton just had another function

Turn off TF3D! ;O)
Better solution:
FingerKeyboard 2.1 (search in Forum)
1. You get a better keyboard.
2. If you want, the keyboard covers the windows bar including the button "Send". You have to tap the keyboard away to push "Send". Works like a charm.

The problem is with the softkey bar... Why do you suggest turning off TF3D ?

Don't use the 3DFO message. Simple as that.
I never use that, just the built in outlook to send text messages.
In fact I disabled the 3Dflo plugin in today and I'm using right now the standard today with all the plugins that I want.
