Is it possible to add another row at the Home tab, for example to show the Today item of MagiCall?
Thanks..
Can anyone help ??
To this day no, you can't. But you can add another Today screen by using a program called 'SecondToday', look it up in these forums.

Hi there - does anyone know how the lowest line of the start screen can be changed i.e. is it possible to change the list of programms which appear ?
THANKS
Myrin
The Start menu? Sure, start, settings, personal tab, menus. If any appear to be locked (won't let you remove unselect them) then you need to use total commander or equivalent and go to My Device/Windows/Start Menu and delete the unwanted shortcuts. You would then be able to use the menu program above to add in up to seven programs that you want.

I think you mean the bottom line of the Today Screen.
So, you want to change the shortcuts of the HTC Homeplug?
I don't know how to do that cause I don't use it. Maybe anyone knows?
Pls see the file attached - this line below I mean !!!
So you want to change the programs accessed by the soft keys on the Today screen? Vito Button Mapper will let you do this.
Will it work also with Magic Button ?
I'm getting headache with the screenshot
Anyway, I think peter7 meant the Tray Bar program.
I think he is using some Tray Launcher of some sort. Difficult to look at the screenshot.
what the hell did you use to take the screenshot, a Sharpy?
Can you take a better screenshot, this time with a screenshot application that actually takes color images?
anyways, that is one strange looking today screen you got there. What's the icons next to the start button?
Hello everyone, i asked this question in the 'post your today screen' thread but got no answer so will try asking here:
I recently installed the htc home customiser and changed a few things around and generally had a play with it to see what i could create from my today screen. I then decided i was happy with how the original htc one looked so i changed it back. Unfortunately i have a slight problem.
Originally, under the htc home section i had tasks, appointments, tomtom, etc etc showin up and there was a scroll bar on the right hand side that allowed me to scroll down the list, all while keeping htc home in the same position at the top. Now though, i have a scroll bar that extends all the way up the right hand side of the screen whereas before it only went as far as the bottom of htc home. It now covers up part of the date and the sound settings button. When i scroll down my list of shortcuts, it now also scrolls htc home also. (i hope my description makes sense)
It is very annoying and also makes my home screen look ugly. Does anyone know how i can get it back to how it used to be?
thanks very much in advance!
You can fix this by updasting the registry directly. There may be another way, but off the top of my head, I don't know.
Check your entries under the registry item: HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Today/Items
Under there, you will see an entry for every Today plugin you have available in your Today settings window.
Select one and you see it has entries called:
- Enabled
- Flag
- Order
- Selectability
- Type
under each one.
- Enabled denotes if its checked for your Today screen (1 is on, 0 is off)
- Order denotes the sequence it is on the Today screen. The lower the number the higher on the screen, so usually, HTCHome is the lowest enabled since it at the top.
- Type denotes whether it is one that is "movable" or not.
Type is the one that you need to modify. Type can be 0 (moveable) or 5 (non-movable). Type 0 ones can be moved up and down in the Today settings screen, where as Type 5 ones cannot.
The issue is that if the Today screen content is too much to fit on the screen, it auto adds the scroll bar. BUT it will only make the part of the screen occupied by movable activated plugins scrollable.
Before you customized, it HTCHome was likely a Type 5, and it was Order 1 (or something low since its at top). And all others were Type 0. Thus the scrollable section DIDNT include the HTC Home. Somehow, your HTCHome type is now 0, so it is scrolling along with everything else.
Hope this helps. Of course, manually modifying the registry has inherent danges, so be careful, and I take no responsibility if you mess up (disclaimer ).
This might be configurable and modifiable via HTC HOME Customizer app itself, but not sure...I just know the above is how I would fix it if I needed to.
Cheers for that mate, i will have a look tomorrow and see if i can sort it out.
in the home customizer go to the "options" tab and check "Lock plugin on the today screen" ... this will solve your problem!
Today screen keeps scrolling up
I don't know if this is the right post to ask, but you guys seemed pretty knowledgeable about today screen...
What happens is that whenever I scroll down (with the scroll bar) my today screen, it keeps scrolling back up to beginning screen automatically.
Only way to avoid this is to scroll all the way to the bottom and then it stops there. Then I can scroll up to see my today plugins which are in the middle (e.g. if you can scroll 4 times down - 4 screens of plugins - and I want to see my plugins which are 1 screen down the initial today screen, I have to tap all the way down and then tap up 2 times to see the plugins I should have seen tapping just 1 time).
This is so annoying. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

This is for mbernstein:
You hijacked the thread but since the op had his issue resolved I can offer you just a little input. I had the same problem you mention. It started after I installed a few SPB programs. I'm not sure if it was the Pocket Plus, Mobile Shell, or something else but it was definately an SPB proggie. Once I uninstalled the programs the issue went away. I'm disappointed because they are good softwares.
Thanks. This should be the case. But it is a shame as Spb softs are quite good (otherwise).
Yes, I unchecked SPB today plugins and it took a long time (right one) for the screen to go "home". thanks.
Can this be changed
IE can i remove the weather option from the list of 5 that sit below the time and email etc?
can this section be adjusted at all?
You can use the HTC Home Customizer to customize the HTC Home Plugin. You can get more info from the forum by searching or check out the HTC Home Customizer's website at http://www.pocketemu.com/hhc-info.html.
You can also just goto (on your Kaiser):
Settings>Today>Items
You should see a third tab on the bottom called "HTC Home". Click on that and you can check/uncheck each option (e.g., Launcher, Weather, etc).
Good luck.
ok thanks guys i have activated the htc home option as the 3rd tab int he settings options
but is there a CAB file that will allow me to add in my own custom tab instead of say music for example
i would like to add tasks or something like that
From what I've read you can't customize the HTC Home with what you're asking. If you need something like that you should look into SPB Software as they have a more configurable home screen/launcher/etc.
how do i activate the 3rd tab in Settings> Today ?

If you don't have the third tab then HTC Home is built in and can't be removed without a reg edit (like Sleuth's Rom I think). All you can do is switch the HTC Home plug-in on or off.
you most likely have the old version of the plugin which does not have the third tab. uninstall it and install the one in the link i am posting which is remade to work on wm6 and have the third tab option. but you cant make your own tabs, but you do have option to remove tabs.
1. uninstall the old one.
2. soft reset
3. install new one.
4. soft reset again.

Hey Everyone,
I just installed home customizer and customized my today screen just fine. However, I was messing with the items you can put under the launcher tab and I removed the Wireless Manager shortcut one. I looked at the list I can choose from to add it back, and its not there. How do I get it back?
Thanks for any help!

Takman, I have the same problem, and have been searching for the answer off and on for a month now. It seems like no matter where I copy/paste a shortcut, I can't get it back on the Launcher. Did you ever figure it out?
Hello,
I bought Kaiser in Poland and got it with a different today screen. What do I have to install to have that black today screen that you all have with weather forecast? I have already installed HTC.Kaiser.Home.Eng.0409.5Tab.schen.cab but it didn't do anything. I don't see any new programs or new settings.
I suggest to install another ROM on your kaiser. But it's a bit tricky to do it. If you do it wrong, you'll mess up your phone.
OK, so it's not an application like Spb Mobile Shell? Installing cab files won't do anything, right?
Did you enable htc home after instaling it? Go to settings, personal, today. From there goto the "items" tab and put a check mark next to htc home.
Cheers
What is that today plugin you are using called?

I didn't know about these settings. I have two new entries: HTC Home and HTCHomeplug and when I enabled the second one I have four new icons on the today screen standing at the top left corner: battery, rotating screen, vibrations and brightness. It is not what I want but it is some success

I think Orange. When I disabled it the icons on the left disappeared.
