There are more than 70 programs under my "programs". It looks really messy... Is there a way to move some of them under certain folders? For example some of games I've set up have directly appeared under "Games". There are also some I can move under Games or any other certain created folder...
Use a program like TotalCommander.
Go to: \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\
There you will find all your links (.lnk). Create sub folders and drop them in there, that's all.
You can also create sub folders in \Windows\Start Menu\

Hmmmmmmm...
I was installing a few things yesterday, and now it seems that my "Games" folder in "Programs" has disappeared? I can still access it in my start menu, and the game apps are still there. Is there any way to edit what appears or does not appear in the main programs folder?
Browse your device with ActiveSync on your PC, and navigate to \Windows\Start Menu\Games, and move it into \Windows\Start menu\Programs\Games
This will stop it being displayed i nthe start menu, but will put it back into Programs where it should be.
1. Is there a way to remove the demo bloatware that AT&T packages with the phone (I am waaay past my Ms. Pac-man jones)
2. I notice that, when I do install the games I want, they don't show up in either the Programs or Games folders - though I can search them out through the File Explorer and run them. I'll end up placing a shortcut in iLauncher, but it would be nice to have them show up in the right folder.

Copy and paste a shortcut (.lnk) into the appropriate/desired folder in the \Windows\Start Menu folder on your phone. E.g. drop a shortcut into \Windows\Start Menu\Games if you want it to be there.

you can just copy the shorcut icon that is in Windows\Start Menu\Programs to any other folder that you would like that is in Programs. Or create the folder that you would like the program to be in, under the same path that i listed above. hope that helps
i created a folder inside "My documents" in the "Internal Storage" of my diamond to store take advantage of the whole 4 Gb. Inside this folder i created some other folders to classify my documents (personal, work, etc)
When i use mobile office file explorer to open a document, even though i browse trought all folders, i don't see any of the folders i created. How can i open the files from here.
Right now what i do is use the file explorer, go to the location and click the file.
Anyone knows how to see the files from mobile office file explorer?
Thanks in advance
By default, Pocket Word read only 1 subfolder depth... that's why it reads only in \Internal Storage\My Documents, but not in your created subfolders.
As I can remember (and if it's always like this with WM6.1), you can force Pocket Word (and others Office apps) to read only in \Internal Storage\My Documents (and not in whole \Internal Storage), so that it'll be able to read your subfolders in \Internal Storage\My Documents... you just need a little file in the root of Internal Storage.
But... there's a "but"... I don't remember which file it is (and/or where/how you can find/create it)... sorry... I give you only the first step... hope someone will give you the 2nd one ^_^
ahahahaaaaaa... I finally find : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319516/en-us/
This little file (just an empty one) is called Ignore_my_docs... but it won't help you... you need a "Use_my_docs" file ^_^.
Now i know the reason why, anyway, i think i will stick to file explorer to look for my documents.
Thanks!
hi all
just installed a game but the shortcut is in my programs list. its called hexavirus its pretty fun, and free too just use the all knowing google.
how on earth do i move the sucker to the games folder?
i tried to do a right click by holding stylus down but that didnt work
and i cant find the folder list anywhere when i plug the diamond into my pc (maybe its just a database file?)
Go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs, and move the *.lnk file into the Games folder.
