Hi, I notice that when I reply to a sms with the sms thread enable I can't see the number of character left that I have, is it possible to show? Modifying the register or using a sw?
Thanks a lot

Thanks

Works in Portaint and Landscape on Mine.
I am using IBI.V8.Office ROM at the moment which has "Arcsoft MMS (Alex edition)" cooked in. So it might be a feature of that or there may be a reg key, but I'm not sure.
EDIT: Can you dump HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings and I'll see if there is a difference with mine?
Thanks
Dave

Nope, nothing that jumps out at me, soz. If your using a cooked ROM, try asking the chef if they know.
Dave
No, I use the original HTC WM 6.1 ITA..
Can you tell me the name of sw related to SMS/MMS that you have in your ROM, if you know/can?
Thanks a lot for your attention.

In the current ROM I Have Arcsoft MMS (_Alex_'s Version) whatever that means. It is from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412449. The Chef has a massive collection of CAB's Might be worth looking for it in there.

Hi there,
Any one knows how to keep the today clock from hiding when you open any program, like the PIE for example
Go to:
Start>Settings>System>Clocks & Alarms>More
Select "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs"
That should do it for you!

oh! I should have found it before asking!
thank u very much
Why? If you did not ask, you would have deprived of the enjoyment of helping you! Especially since there are not a lot of questions that I know the answer to. Seriously, I was excited when I saw your questions, "hey I can answer that!"
Cheers.

A KaiserTweak change. Check the KaiserTweak .xml file.
Hi Everyone!
Apologies for reposting, I tried searching but I couldn't get anything, and I just asked the same question under Dutty's Rom thread. Apologies!
I was wondering, does anyone know how to turn on the feature where in when you are creating a new SMS, you type in the first few letters of the name and it suggests possible matches.
I'm using Dutty's Diamond Rom.
Thanks!
Doesn't this work by default. It has always worked for me and I don't remember specifically setting any options in Messaging to make this work, perhaps the "Smart dialing" options in the phone also automatically apply to SMS???

I think it works like this: u start typing the name and the options(the names that fits what u wrote) pop up only if u push the space bar. Try that.
Try disabling xT9 (if you dont use an xt9 SIP).

\HKLM\SYSTEM\Inbox\RecipientAutoComplete
Set the DWORD 'MaxSuggestions' to 4.

No problem, u r welcome.
Not sure if this bugs anyone else but using the wm 6.1 threaded sms I would like to see the time as well as the date I sent or received sms for example a week ago.
At present only the last 24 hours messages reflect the actual time of the sms and beyond that only the date shows.
Thaks in advance. Richard

Hi there fellow! I managed to fix my problem with the following registry edit:
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\
Add a dword key "TrustTimeZoneField" and give it a dword value of 0
(Thanks to Dangerously)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=374956
OR download THIS cab: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2252296&postcount=5
(Thanks digitalfreeze)
The cab will do precisely the same thing, so if you don't have a registry editor installed, no need to bother, just download the cab file!
thanks
thanks it works
cheers trying this now. Can't beleive I didn't see this post before
Replace the xml file in \Program\Panels\GooglePanel with this attached file or edit your own and replace all iexplorer.exe with operaL.exe
exelent work.
Sweet, I thought this would be easy to do, now someone else has saved me the effort of working out how. Many thanks.
Thank you. Very nice.

Opera was not meant to be available on the Xperia from the beginning - just in the last time of developement they decided to include it. But that is no excuse - the should have been able to make the panels use Opera even in that shorter time
This works great, big thanks!
Is it possible to do the same in messaging?
Everytime i open a link on my exchange account, failexplorer opens instead of opera.
Would be very very nice if you could change this to
Thnx, easy as pie, works like a charm!
Excellent, thank you, works without a hitch
Btw, is there a way to change "default browser" in the phone? Explorer keeps on popping upp all over the place when I click on link in messages and such...
Will try this now, thank you a million times!

MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP your settings.. so far it worked for me but i dont know if it effect anything else.
i went to my registry setting:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\Shell\Open\Command and changed 'iexplore.exe' %1 to 'operaL.exe %1'
i also did this change to the 'https'
TRY at your OWN RISK

shame as at least Vodafone were clever enough to get their panel to launch Opera by default for the webpages.

it´s been discussed here for several times already. there are several solutions for it (even freeware ones). try to search for it in this forum (http://www.google.com/advanced_search?q=+site:http://forum.xda-developers.com&hl=en&lr=&as_qdr=all)
