Not sure if this bugs anyone else but using the wm 6.1 threaded sms I would like to see the time as well as the date I sent or received sms for example a week ago.
At present only the last 24 hours messages reflect the actual time of the sms and beyond that only the date shows.
Thaks in advance. Richard

Thanks for the reply hoiwever the thread you referred to me I did see but this deals with the problem of incorrect time and date on messages. I purely want to view the time and date on old sms messages.
Any ideas

Sorry mate, no Ideas. I've heard of the problem before, but never experienced it, or looked into it.

Thanks anyway. Hopefully some clever person can assist me with this.

Hi there fellow! I managed to fix my problem with the following registry edit:
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\
Add a dword key "TrustTimeZoneField" and give it a dword value of 0
(Thanks to Dangerously)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=374956
OR download THIS cab: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2252296&postcount=5
(Thanks digitalfreeze)
The cab will do precisely the same thing, so if you don't have a registry editor installed, no need to bother, just download the cab file!
thanks
thanks it works
cheers trying this now. Can't beleive I didn't see this post before

I'm using an AT&T Tilt with the default ROM, no modifications, just added software. My text and email messages are opening at the end of the message. The scrollbar is scrolled all the way down. On really long messages, like long emails, it won't be scrolled all the way to the end, but down quite a ways. Does anyone know what might be causing this, or how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
did ya install kaisertweak? I read somewhere on this forum that that tool is causing that problem
No, I haven't installed that. But thank you for asking. I may check those references and see if anyone with that problem has found a solution...
try this , and please let us know!

That was it. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction! Your original hunch was probably correct. I haven't installed that program but I did manually edit the registry to do that tweak. I didn't even think it was relevant cause I thought it only affected PIE. Looks like I have lots more reading to do at these boards. Thanks again for your help, and quick response...
I posted this in another thread, I have the Tweak installed on my Tilt and have the 4-Way Nav already set to 1. It still does this, very annoying. Any other suggestions?
didn't work on my HTC TyTN II either the suggested registry value value was already 1. I've been fiddling with KaiserTweak earlier.
working on htc tytn2! finaly i do not need to scroll down.
(it was coused by tweak2k.net on my device)

Yea, been there, done that, still no luck. The default was already set to "1" so it must be something else. The investigation continues.

Nothing new, so I use Pocket CM now to do my texting, works much better anyways and has threaded messaging!
I know this topic has been posted before however I cannot believe that all of the developers, cooks and fanatics in this forum are unable to provide a fix to this query which I would be more than happy to donate for.
The call history on my Kaiser is by default limited to storing the last 2 weeks which is not satisfactory whatsoever which is why I would like a fix so the Kaiser does not have a time limit on the call history. I would like all my calls to remain on my Kaiser untill such time as I delete them manually.
All I want to now is whether this is possible or is there a 3rd party program which can do this? Thanking you in advance. Richard

Hi dude
I don't know the right registry tweak to fix it (maybe someother know it!) but you can try the SKTolls app, but it isn't free, more info about it here!
From the main menu -> Tune Up! -> Phone Edition Tab -> set it in the "Call history legth" option!!
Ciao
...again here
just now i found this registry key! Use any Regeditor and go here:
"HCU\ControlPannel\Phone" and edit the key "CallHistoryMax" but i don't well remember if the "0" value is for unlimited number or really 0, no history. However try first to set "0" , soft-reset and test it! If you haven't call history the "0" is that, so edit it again to a number you prefer (the limit is about 65500, anyway i think it's enough for you!)!
ok, wish granted, please send your donation to the creator of KaiserTweak.

Haha! If only the OP had used the "search" feature to begin with! LOL!
Would gladly donate and fortunately not stupid enough not to search.
I have both kaiser tweak where I have set call log to "Never" and have SK Tools where I have set call history length to maximum.
Could these 2 programs be conflicting each other?

Thanks for the reply. How long does your call history stay on your kaiser for just to establish whether your tweaks etc are working?

...mmmh,i cannot answer you, or better, it's not useful for your purpose, because i've setted the number limit to 200 and the time limit to 1 month (it's enough for me), however i can only say that untill i don't manually delete the call history, it's always stored on my device without problem!!!
Ciao
Does anybody know of a program in which when you receive a call it gives you the option of ignoring them and sending a SMS instead?
I think Dutty had this option in one of his ROMs.
Also, there is an app that is called "Ignore with SMS" - but every download location I've found for it doesn't work.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you! This is exactly what I've spent hours looking for!
You can try photo contacts pro too. Although it's kinda heavy. It's got lots of features & large full screen caller id photos as well as sms tones & ringtone for groupd or individuals.

Works in Portaint and Landscape on Mine.
I am using IBI.V8.Office ROM at the moment which has "Arcsoft MMS (Alex edition)" cooked in. So it might be a feature of that or there may be a reg key, but I'm not sure.
EDIT: Can you dump HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings and I'll see if there is a difference with mine?
Thanks

No, I use the original HTC WM 6.1 ITA..
Can you tell me the name of sw related to SMS/MMS that you have in your ROM, if you know/can?
Thanks a lot for your attention.

In the current ROM I Have Arcsoft MMS (_Alex_'s Version) whatever that means. It is from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412449. The Chef has a massive collection of CAB's Might be worth looking for it in there.

You can say in relaxed way that I'm a d*ckhead! Ihave done everything, but I can't try to write and see...
Thanks, and sorry if I ask a very very stupid question annoying you...
Sorry sorry
Manilla is showing that I have 1 unread sms, when I check there is not. I click "all messages" to get to the WM inbox but there are no unread messages in there.
I have tried to go to tools and "clear SMS/MMS", this wipes all messages, and when I look in the inbox it's empty, but when i click on the "inbox"tab to show the whole sms tree I see inbox with a blue "1" in brackets. I have also tried a sof reset, with no effect.
Any of you guys come accross this before?
BTW this has only started since I recieved an SMS while TomTom was running, and I had to ignore it.
Cheers for any help you can offer
Perhaps the mail still is on the server. Try to delete the mail configuration and then configure it again.
no luck
I tried to do that, but was unable to delete the "SMS" account. I also tried inserting a SIM card from a different opperator, but this did no good either.
Hey all,
i've got the same problem since yesterday... posted it already in the topic where aqll post their problems with new WM6.5
hope someone has a solution!
I've got an official WM6.5 HTC german ROM
I'm having the same problem mate (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=579772) but now manila home screen is showing i have 2 new messages when in fact i have none. I had a good scoot in the registry but there's nowt there to reset MS's inbox (as far as i could see but then again i'm not a reg buff).
I've read elsewhere that this "new message" is a known issue in WinMo 6.5..
Hoppe there's a fix for it soon...or someone here can help us out
Cheers
Mo
thanks!
Thanks for the info guys.
Has anyone seen this issue on WM6.1?

Yes, I had it on 6.1. Only started last week, but I installed 6.5 last night so I have managed to cure it, albeit in a rather extreme way.

I don't think I want to re-flash 6.5.....but that 1 message symbol is realy starting to bug me!!
For those who fixunreadcount did not work for "ghost" messages.
Try using Ceregeditor it is simple to find, works very well... I used it for my HTC pure. If you have a problem unlocking your phone, there a few threads on forums i read on how to do it. If your phones already unlocked.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\State\Messages\sms\Unread
Double-click on COUNT and change the number to 0 (zero). You should see the change immediately on your phone -- you don't have to do a save. If it works then save.
Worked for me instantly! Thanks to rdphoto on ppcgeeks.com, any questions on anything ill try and help, hope it works
