Calender First Day of The Week? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Is there any way to manually set the first day of the week? Specifically to Saturday? I only ask because that's the first day of my company's week and it would make using the calender app much easier.

go into calendar > Menu > Tools > Options > second item '1st day of week'
hope this is what you were looking for..
OOOPPPSSS!!! ... Sorry I should look before I post!.. It only Allows Sunday or Monday... Many apologies..

This only allows Monday or Sunday to be set, I've already tried this, I would need some registry key to edit or a special cab to install.

have you seen this?

under other calendar hacks..

This just sets which days are working days, my schedule is completely random and runs Saturday-Friday, every day is still a working day, I just need it to start on Saturday instead of Monday or Sunday.
By the way thanks for the replies so far, I really appreciate the help.

Weekends - not Sat + Sun

Weekends are Friday + saturday here in this country rather than Sat + Sun.
When using the calendar app to set specific patter-type appointments (like a meeting on weekdays only from 10 am to 12pm) it doesnt count Sat + Sun because that is the European + American weekend.
How do I change it??? Its imperative.
You can change the calendar to show Sunday as the first day of the week: Menu->Tools->Options. There are also registry hacks for the calendar to change what days are marked as working days and times are working hours, and this is described here in the Wiki. Go down towards the end of the page to the heading 'Pocket Calendar'.
We're not so lucky here in Oman as we are still on a Sat-Wed working week.
What difference does Oman's weekend have with the WM6? You can according to your post adjust the weekdays/ends as you please.
Or am I misunderstanding?
Teslam bro.
Salaams Brother,
Yes, I can make it show Sat-Wed as working days but not to show Sat as the first day of the week. Sun or Mon are the only choices for this. :-(
Ahh I see.
Isnt there a registry hack for this?
Not AFAIK.
I cant find the part after ActiveTimes\Active Times
I can only reach HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Calendar
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Calendar\ActiveTimes\ActiveTimes = 2210003E
If the key is not there then you have to create it.
and how does one go about doing that?

Change weekdays

Ummm....I think it's just a standard and not any registry setting.
Check the thread you started at Modaco on this for the replies.
hicks, definitely been checking the thread at modaco and here too.
Im going on the fact that there are members of modaco who are not members here and vice versa.
Hope you get it sorted out. I personally use Agenda One as a calendar as I feel it is much more flexible, but it's not a free app.
paid apps...
I believe this particular point is well served by paid PIM apps out there.
It's definitely present in SBSH Pocket Breeze (Options -> Calendar -> Monthly Calendar -> Week start day), and in Pocket Informant 2007 (Menu -> Settings -> Week View -> Starting day).
Cannot remember what it was like in SPB Diary, but probably copied from regional settings.
And no faintest about Today Agenda, Agenda Today, Agendus, or whatever-other-apps-thar-be-out-thar. Most likely they all have it in one form or other.
Try changing in Calendar settings on your Android device
Though it didn't work in my case..

1st day of week

Hello,
I need to set up Saturday as my 1st day of week in Calendar. Anybody knows how to do that, may be registry editing? Can not find anywhere solution for that.
Thanks in advance
I don't think it can be done with the standard calendar (at least, not to my knowledge). Various calendar replacements can do this, though. AgendaOne, for example, lets me specify the first day of the week.

[Help] TouchFLO 3D - Calendar only can show next day appointemts...

Hi All,
I've got a problem on my Diamond TouchFLO 3D,
I didn't know why but now my Diamond only can show the next day appointemts...
But before I can show NEXT appointemts even the appointemts is come on few days.
I've try to HARD RESET but no use. Did any one has an idea for it? Thanks a lot.
p.s.
But if I close the TouchFLO 3D and go back to "Calendar" with "Today" is work fine...
Hmmm, I experience the same problem here. I have appointments in my calendar for today, but the only thing I see in the home screen of TF3D is my first appointment tomorrow... It may have started when I flashed Elite 2.0 ROM this weekend, but I'm not sure. Anyone?
Same here....
It says that tomorrow is my day off and the 2nd event is that I have to work today....usually it's the other way around....First my workday (today) and afterwards as a 2nd event day off (tomorrow)
Hi guys, this has been discussed many times, if you search you will find many other threads.
In short, this is what the Diamond does - you cannot change it. It will show 1-2 events at the same time and also a whole day event like someones birthday. If you want more you will have to install a third party calendar.

Hi Krillo, Thank you for your reply but I think you are miss understand what I'm ask. I know what you said but my problem is:
TouchFLO 3D - Calendar just only can show next day appointemts. That's means if today is Monday and I've an appointemt on Friday. The TouchFLO 3D - Calendar Tap do not show any appointemt untill to Thursday, Then the TouchFLO 3D - Calendar can show I've an appointemt on tomorrow (Friday)
But if I close the TouchFLO 3D and switch to Today Calendar. All appointemts show correctly. Do you have any idea of that?
Thanks
I have the save problem....
It is for reasons like this that I think TF3D is not as good as SPB Mobile Shell which is now my preferred system.... This programme shows 3-4 appointments on the today screen and they could be days away. Surely showing these is very important, so why is TF3D not able to? CHANGE TO SPB!!!!

SMS info display problem

Hi xda!
I’m just getting into the HTC modding scene really must say thank you all for the great forum, you’ve been a big help to me in times of desperation.
Hopefully when I’ve learnt a little more I can contribute to your community.
I have a little problem and tried searching the forum but no luck
The date display in my messages in portrait mode obscures the contact name, is there any way to reduce the day format to say.. 3 letters? ie. mon not monday etc. to correct this? I have attached a screenshot so you can see what the hell I’m on about lol.
Thanks in advance and keep up the hard work!
I think this may have something to do with your "Short Date Format"... It sounds like it includes the day of the week. My Tilt only shows mm/dd/yy (or the time if the message was received today).
A quick look in Settings -> System -> Regional Settings -> Date tab seems to indicate that this would have to have been set in the registry, as I don't think it is possible to set it to show the day of the week in this screen. This would mean it's likely hardcoded in the registry.
If this is gibberish to you, let me know... lol
