Has anyone managed to successfully activate MS Reader on their Diamond? I have tried a number of times but continue to get the 'This copy of Microsoft Reader is not yet activated' message. The activation process doesn't generate any visible error.
Don't install or activate MS Reader in Diamond. I have once activated MS Reader and soft reset as prompted but my device cannot boot up. At last I am forced to hard reset my device.
i am using mobipocket. this works very good.
you might have to convert your ebooks first.
My Diamond is still working ok having installed MS Reader, I just can't open any DRM protected books. There are workarounds but they don't work in every case, unfortunately.
I have a few mobi books so I will install Mobireader and if that's ok I shall use that as my format of choice in future.
Try Haalireader, it is the best ebook reader that I have found so far

OK - I can't copy PDF've to my Kaiser (via activesync) = PC locks up (even if I disable client conversion). If I copy PDF's manually to the storage card, then my Kaiser locks up whenever I launch MobiPocket reader. Why?? Std Kaiser with HTC UK shipped ROM - plus various CABs from these fora (ums?)
Ideas? Workarounds?
Graham
hrmmm. i've never had that problem or anything like it before.
maybe try emailing it to yourself and then downloading it? reading what's happening it sounds to me like your PC and phone are both messed up.
Hi, Has anyone else expereinced problems using MS Reader on the Kaiser? It loads and activates OK and lists books in library. When a book is selected it goes off to open it and never succeeds - it just seems to display it's little whirly-gig thingy and the only way out seems to be a soft reset? Any help out there please?

2. just dump MS Reader. Use something better (I recommend Mobipocket Reader) and use ConvertLIT to convert your LIT files to their native formats.
Mine works fine. Have you tried to unistall, soft reset, then reinstall?
I have googled this forum and have not found the answers to the following:
I use IE and OperaMobile and Skyfire Beta 2.
I have also loaded SiriusWM5
ROM 3.57.502.2 (wm6.1)
If I attempt to log on to Sirius, I have to fill in a 4 letter security code. This code is asked for when using internet access or on SiriusWM5. I can not get beyond that 4 letter code point. It seems as if the "code" I see and enter are different, or received by the Sirius server differently. Howeverl, I only use IE to access Sirius, as Sirius does not support Opera (even on my PC)
I am a Sirius subscriber with internet subscription, and use it on my PC, so that is not the issue.
I can listen to streaming radio stations without difficulity.
Any suggestions?
It is pretty easy, I install it on my SD card, You have your Login info and Password that is the same as they are on your PC. Tap sirius/settings/file
Login
Password
the only other box that should be checked is Show song info
Click save....then connect.
Thanks, but I know how to install SiriusWM5, it is loaded on my SD card.
Allow me to reiterate the situation:
If I use either SiriusWM5 or IE, when I get done with the login screen, I get a validation code that has to be entered, usually 4 letters that have to be entered into a box, then submit. It appears that my entry does not get accepted.
are you putting in your sign in name and password right? when I 1st did mine I was having the same problem and for whatever reason I had an "s" were I was supost to have an "a" it would go to the code let me put it in then say conection failed also make sure if your using TCPMP to select its location (main memory or SD card) if that dosent work I would uninstall it do a soft reset and try to re-install it. also Sirius only allows you to sign in soo many times in 1 day, I found that out the hard way.

I did not mean to say you did not know how to install it.... I was just telling you how I do it.
Like supernova said, did you put in your un and pw?
lol, silly people..
I have the problem as well. I'm using Duttys last rom and when putting in the verification info I get the same problem.
It used to work for me all of the time. After changing to this or another rom it just stopped working.
I have had this issue for several months.
Could there be a security setting that needs to be set differently?
I have NO issues with any other internet connection on various websites, etc. I bounce between Internet Explorer, Opera Mobile (8.65?) and Skyfire beta 2. None of the three or SiriusWM5 works. When using Sirius WM5, after entering the validation code, it get a "connection failed" message. With the 3 browsers, after entering the validation code, the page resets and says the code entered was incorrect.
Additionally, I have attempted to log in while using WiFi to my router which is connected to DSL as well as using EDGE.
One other site that does not work for me is speedtest.net
Hi, everyone. I recently got my touch pro and was ready to transport my pdf files over from my Dell Axim. When I tried the reflow option on the Adobe Reader, all I got was a blank screen. Whenever I tapped "reflow" under Tools/View, the page counter would start flipping (for ex. 1/379 to 2/379 and so on) but it never reaches the last page. I assume that means that the reflow never completed formatting the entire book and that is why I got a blank screen. Does anyone know what I can do? In the past, I have installed Adobe Reader Pocket PC 2.0 on my Dell Axim. Everytime I add a pdf files, my desktop automatically reflow my entire file as it is copied into my memory card. Whenever I opened the file in my axim, the text is automatically reflowed. Obviously this does not happen with my touch pro. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help given.
I found something called the FoxIt reader. It reflows acrobat files. It's not free, but there is a trial period.
Perform a search
You'll find some cabs for the Adobe Acroba reader 2.5 (not LE) in many roms that provide separate cabs for additional aplications.

I've been tearing my hair out wondering how the heck am i gonna do this. Syncing via bluetooth through my laptop doesn't work (says hd7 wont accept file transfers) I tried uploading to gigasize.com, no luck, and I've tried emailing, but there's n email system big enough.
Anyone have ANY idea how i can transfer random files over for the HTC HD7?
SkyDrive is an option. Cloud-based storage free with your Live account (hotmail, msn, live)
This link will help with that.

thank you, I will give it a try! much appreciated
didn't end up working, the file i have is 100MB, the limited space on skydrive is 50MB =[ close but no dice, are there any other altenatives? can i bluetooth from one phone to the other?
My SkyDrive Account has 25 gigs?
I pay no money.
Ahhh. Individual file limit of 50megs.
yeah..... i MIGHT MIGHT have to truncate my class textbook into two halves =[
Okay I figured it out halfway if anyone is interested, I've used the site http://www.bonpoo.com/ ..... there you can upload it and email the link to your hotmail for your HD7.... then you can download it via browser, i just don't know how to KEEP it on the HD7 =[
This works on HTC HD7 have not tried on other devices
What we want to do
Read .pdf files on WP7 Device, without emailing them to yourself.
What you will Need
- Chevron Unlocked Hd7
If its not check this or the ultimate solution that worked for me this last Entry on this page quoted by me. At the same time make sure you Apply this to prevent it from relocking
- TouchExplorer installed on the Device.
If you don't have it get it from here
- Registry key on your Desktop to Enable Mass Storage.
http://theunlockr.com/2010/11/29/how-to-enable-usb-storage-on-windows-phone-7/
- Zune installed on Desktop
- .pdf files which you want to read on WP7
How to do it
1. Connect your Phone to Desktop using USB Cable.
2. Zune Starts and Sync Completes.
3. Close Zune.
4. Copy your .pdf files to the root of Storage (MyComputer\HD7\Storage)
5. Disconnect Phone from Desktop.
6. Start TouchExplorer on Device.
7. Go to "My Device/My Documents/Zune/Content/0400/01 or 02"
8. Here you will find your .pdf files with the name of 8.z or something .z extension.
9. Rename them to YourFileName.pdf.
10. Now Copy them to "My Device/Applications/Data/BC4F319A-____-____-____-____________/Data/IsolatedStorage.

Phone's unlocked and everything's working.... I ran into one problem though, when I transfer files over, it says "cannot copy (file name) "the device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected"
any way you can help me figure this out?

Hi!
Try to set you screen lock to never:
Settings -> lock & wallpaper -> Screen time-out: never
Than try again the steps described in post #9.
After finished set back screen lock time-out to original value to preserve battery power.
Regards,
Cina.
Doesn't seem to work, but thank you for the insight =] I really appreciate everyone's help but i think i've come to terms with just simply giving up.... I'm reinstalling windows 7 and XP so i might jump back up and try it once more
You can try to e-mail the files to yourself or you can try other online storage services
Although the methods previously suggested might work, and they do with several limitations, I wouldn't advise them as they will either leave your files lost in the middle of hundreds of e-mails or pile your office hub in a completely unorganized fashion.
My solution is much better; simply create OneNote notebooks, organized anyway you see fit, insert your files and sync them to SkyDrive.
When you sync them with your WP phone you will have your pdf files organized and always available.
Never tried this method with any file larger than 50Mb but with smaller ones works like a charm
Cheers
