Why have you re-asked this question in the Kaiser General forum without any explanation?
It is against Forum Rules for one thing, and it doesn't make any sense for another. Why would we know what to do?

Something to do with the massive amount of replies/help I received from the first one and knowing that the kaiser is of a very similar setup and will use all the same connections settings ... massive thanks for your help.
DaveShaw- This just isn't a good day for you. ;o)
OP- Using your logic you could just post your question to all of the other device forums so good luck keeping track of all of the replies. You could also call the O2 customer support folks and ask them. Might be more constructive. Or, see if there is a forum on the O2 website. Or Google. But I agree with DaveShaw, why the h3ll did you post your Raphael question here?

Service Manual

I dont know if there is already a topic with this service manual but here we go ...
www.mediafire.com/?2zqwqv4546qch36
It's in .pdf file format.
And you've created an account just to post this?
Since you care about the reason, no. It's not just to post this service manual.
I'm sure this is going to be useful to someone, thanks for sharing.

No need to. The one you posted is for the P990h, the other for P990, so it is still useful.

Yap, No need to.... Actually I have a question, what is the difference between P990h and P990?
Considering you now have access to both service manuals, check it and see ;-)
Nah, half-joking, the P990h supports some extra WCDMA frequencies (850Mhz most notably), which in the documentation is named FDD5 instead of the P990s FDD8. (Also says GPRS and EDGE class 12 vs. class 10 for P990.)
Only sold in Canada, as far as I know, and that isn't far. There's also a P990hN model, which I have no idea which market is intended for, or how it differs.

IMEI = International Mobile Equipment Identity
I think there is no legal way to change imei. This number is unique all over the world - at least in theory.

Google: regiolock.
I do that and thats the answer. You have to register your mobile.
Please clarify
What is regiolock? How do you find it? How do you download it? How do you use it?

I googled it before replying to your reply...
You find results in Dutch which I don't understand and google translate makes a mess of.
None of these results say anything about IMEIs...
Thus my request for further information.
WTF, mate?!?

Regiolock (aka regionlock) has nothing to do with the problem you are facing.
This is only when a device blocks cards from a certain region.
There are no public methods available to change the IMEI for a P7. Generally methods for changing the IMEI of a device will not be released to the GP because the use of these tools is illegal in most countries, they can be misused by theives and terrorists.

You have read the reason of this user because he want to change his IMEI? I think not.....
The problem is the regio lock.

Nope it isn't, and your attitude doesn't make it any less false. (Though it does make the Dunning-Kruger effect apparent)
Actually I did read the OP's initial post, and I completely understood it.
But I also know the background of his problem (which is not new and actually well known since since the law was introduced ages ago in Turkey), and I also googled to confirm whether the situation in Turkey hasn't changed over the last few years just to be sure before posting previous message.
Let me explain it to you:
Region lock is on the device itself, it prohibits the user to use a sim card not whitelisted for a certain user.
The problem here is different, Turkey blocks any foreign GSM within a month (or two) if it is not registered (by law), registering a device is compulsory (and you can't register anything without paying taxes and fees).
But hey, don't believe me, let others tell you:

I think that this is a contentious issue and we are both right. but it is also a reason that have their smartphone has been locked. the question whether the IMEI can be changed as we both have answered the same.

I asked you about law regulations, not police instruction or somewhere explanations or interpretation. But even this UK police statement says about unblocking blocked phone.
Generally, in short words. Illegal is not changing IMEI but changing it for crime reasons. Just all [emoji14]
PS
There is 194 countries on the world and each can have own regulation in this aspect.

Dumb Newbie here

Hi, I am in Australia and have just purchased a Moto X via ebay. Maybe that was not a good idea
When attempting to call someone on my contact list, the phone automatically places a +1 in front of the number which then apparently tells my provider I am trying to make an overseas call. I am in fact, calling locally. The phone is seemingly doing the wrong thing.
I assume that there is a setting that tells the phone in which country it is set for - in this case, it seems to be the USA - +1 is the USA prefix and the phone always wants to call the USA.
Can anyone assist please by advising as to how I can remove this setting in the phone so it will not automatically want to place the +1 in front of the local number?
Thanking you in advance
Charles
Hey, please add your model number and your exact android version in your post. This will help to figure out, how to solve the problem. Also maybe add information about how you save your numbers, like: 073883XXXX or +49163738XXX
Saving your numbers with countrycode e.g. might help.

Thank you so much for your response. The seller has come back to me finally and advised me how to go about it - step by step. Now all good. Had to change the default country - was listed as the USA
Cheers & many thanks
