Greetings everyone,
I would like to ask for some advice.
I bought a HTC TYTN II and wanted to flash it to a ROM I found on the forum.
But to do that I had to use nueSPL-2.47.exe
That turned out to be a mistake as at the moment it started formatting to FAT32 the screen freezed. And I waited for around 15min. But nothing happend.
Now needless to say the device does not function. I tried a hard reset(Camera+Power+Reset) and just (Reset). But all I get is a screen darker than the pits off hell.
I am able to get the power light burning but that is it. Already tried putting the battery out and in again. But all to no avail. Maybe one of you can help me?
Thank you in advance.

Just a thought but...you might want to check the Kaiser forum instead...
Posted in Titan forum. Moved to Kaiser forum.
You flashed a Titan SPL to your Kaiser?
Oh dear, not to worry, it might be fixable...
Can you get to your Bootloader?

Dave
Confused "Tytn" with "Titan", too bad.. That's already happened, if you search for "nuespl" in the Kaiser forum you should find a thread about someone else who had the same problem recently.

uh oh... what was your radio version? does the PC still try to load a driver when you connect the phone?
Wrong firmware now that explains things.
It seems that the soft/hard reset and boot loader are not working for me. All I ever get is the power light and no screen at all.
Just my luck.
My phone was a 3G version.
When I connect it via USB it does try and load drivers but it does not find the correct drivers. While the phone was ok the drivers were fine.
Strange.
I sure hope I do not have to send it to my supplier. Because the phone is just 2 weeks old ;-)

are you able to load these drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=71038&d=1203255530
3G, okay, all of them are 3G... do you remember exact radio version. no problem if not, though.
Sorry I do not know the exact number.
I was able to install the drivers. So thanks for that.
But If I try and get onto my phone I have no folders. And active sync does not see the device. Maybe I need to use a program like artemis to get files on there?
There is of course a change I might be able to get files on there by putting my SD card in a card reader.
But does it boot from there?
Pocket controller-pro did not work for me.

No need to press comm.button. Just press camera and softreset at once, release the softreset first than camera button. That's all!

Newbie here.....
I have an HTC P4350. During the upgrade, there was a disconnect with my computer to the phone, now I have that colored screen when I start up. I tried the hard and soft reset and also the Boot loader method.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
Do you think if the phone went back to HTC, they would be able to fix it?
Thanks for your help
You should be able to flash the original RUU when you're in bootloader mode ('the three colored screen') and connected to the PC with your USB cable. Worked for me anyways.
Just put your phone in bootloader mode, connect it to your computer and run the RUU.

The problem is that it won't connect to the computer via activeSync, until that happens the phone cannot be updated.

Have you tried it before you said that it would not work? Seriously? When in bootloader mode, the computer doesn't connect via activesync (how could it, there is no operating system on the phone). Get into bootloader mode, connect the phone to the computer (yes, i know activesync doesn't show a connection at this point) and run the stock RUU for your device. If this does not work, then there is something seriously wrong with your device.
I honestly wish people would try things first before claiming that it didnt work, I know i have not posted that much, but that is because i search the forums for the questions i have, rather than wasting the time of the people who are doing all the cooking (for free might i add) and getting on their nerves.

To add to this, when in bootloader and plugged into your PC, it will say "USB" at the bottom. That's how you know it's connected properly.

Dude, I have searched for a resolve to my problem, and I do appreciate peoples help. I don't waste time of good Samaritans. I did run the RRU and I received an 260 error, which is another topic which I did research on as well.
I'm going to send the phone back to HTC and let them fix it.
hey guys,
I'm freakin' out... I followed the instructions on trinityguides.info to upload the Hard-SPL. However, even though the Active Sync is working and the RUU seems to connect to the mobile and everything if going fine so far I get this bloody 246 and that *****y thingy of a mobile is going into the three colour mode... Ok, not a big deal. As I've read in the FAQ just start the RUU again and it should be cool... well, its not... now I get a 260. Nevertheless, I've not given up yet. I tried the installation again. This time without accepting the message on the mobile, after a while I get another error 202....
so please guys... where is the trick??? I read something about go into bootloader manually - I reckon that's the camera, power and hard reset button combo. When should I do this???
I also downloaded all three of this roms, 1.20, 1.30 and the other Macrofl or so....
I'm running XP SP2, Active Sync 4.5,
Mobile: HTC P3600, IPL-0.50, SPL-1.07.0000, WM5 German
Update via SD
Hi,
I had the same kind of problem just a few days ago... and I solved it simply using my SD memory. Using it, you bypass the pc (and the connection between the PDA and PC) and all this type of problems "connection-depending".
You can flash your PDA putting the rom image on the SDcard (how you should do, you can read here here )...
Ciao
Tompo
hey tompo,
thx for your help, but I still have problems. I formated my Sandisk 2GB ultra II SD card and copied the RUU_signed.nbh to the root of the SD. Then I renamed the file to TRINIMG.nbh and went manually to the bootloader. However, there was only a short flickering of a grey screen that said "loading", after that I was back in that three colour thingy.... crap.... what the hell am I doing wrong???
seems as i have though luck with that mobile....
Any more hints???
cheers

Ok.....You wanna get to the 3 strip screen?
Make sure the battery has a 50% of its charge.
-Turn the device off.(DON´T HOOK IT UP TO THE COMPUTER YET) so it should be off and unplugged.
-Press and HOLD camera button + power button, now you should see the 3 strips,if so you can hook it up to the usb port.
Got it?
I don´t remember now if you have to follow this step first:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293957
Like I said I´m not sure, but take a look.....if you brick the phone there´s a way to fix it.
See ya.
THX
thank you guys for the support,
however, the source of the prob was the SD card. Even though I formatted the SD in my laptop with FAT32 and no label, it seemed to me that the mobile couldn't access it. I've done it several times - didn't work. Finally, I thought lets format the thingy with the mobile itself - voila - it worked.... I dono if something with my card reader is wrong... the SD was working fine with tomtom and was accessible in both (laptop and mobile) without flaws. Only the bloody flashing didn't work as it should be.... well, I don't mind any more, may be its a solution for another desperate trinity user....
Cheers guys - I'm runnin' on WM6.1 now....*sweet*
hello could you please say how did you format with the trini, cuz I'm really new and unable to find that function.
I have exactly the same problems, but no external card reader
Many thx
Hi,
I got given a couple of Treo 750 phones. Both on the Optus Australian Network so I scratched around for days and found the upgrade software. Shows update 2.27
1st one went perfect.
2nd one on same computer got through copying files and executing update and stalled at the start of completing update.
I got the Windows mobile screen show and it just was not loading for ages. Previous one loaded and then asked for input of Date, touch screen settings etc.
The installer can be re run but says no USB connection at the moment.
I have done a hard reset and get the palm display then locks on the Windows Mobile screen.
I saw procedures to use the Mini SD card but the cards I have won't work in any treo, they are not SDHC type but standard 2G ones.
I next found the recovery tool but holding the left lower button and then hitting reset did not work but does work on my good phone where it shows the coloured bars and SPL....
The left button is a bit dodgy so I suspect it may be faulty. Is there anything else I can try?
EDIT: Ok I pulled apart the phone, looks like it had a hard life as broken case around two screws and they would not unscrew easily. Found the tiny button had dry solder joints. Fixed that up and was able to recover using the reset proceedure.
Phone now working.
could you explain in more detail what you did. thanks man

What would you like to know?
Once I physicaly repaired the phone as indicated in the edit I was able to hold the left hand button (which was faulty) and the reset at the same time that allowed me to get into the SPL mode and recover the phone.
I understand it very little and most posts on these forums are over my head.
I would like windows 6.1 but there is so much information that seems to conflict that I don't know I am game since it is now working on an official 6.0 Optus version.
I am happy to help but if you can maybe tell me where you are at the moment and what you want to acheive and what you have tried I hope I can fill in the gaps for you.
because im new to this to and i got stuck in the windows screen also. so i would like to know what to download and where from and step by step if you could please.
thanks man

Ok to start with what country are you in and what telco were you with eg Vodafone etc as you will need that as a start.
USA and im with AT&A
Try the method describe in the thread below - Mine work
Hi, you might want to try this method
Follow it one by one and do not skip a step
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=460783
I just did mine last Saturday (it was a Vodafone phone)
AT&T should be easier since the Windows 6 ROM is easier to get
If you'd like to update to WM 6.1, you should upgrade first to WM 6
Something i read about the radio not working to full capacity if you upgrade straight to 6.1
As for the WM 6 ROM, i'm sure you can find it
Good luck
Hi All,
I have a Treo 750 and it WAS running WM 6.0 Professional (OFFICIAL) and I got it onto the phone and then tried to install WM 6.5 and then I downgraded to 5.0 and tried to update back to 6 and it bricked my treo, any of you wonderful xda ppl have any solution?
Also, I have tried installing the ROM again (via SD updater) and it looks like this:
SPLASH1 OK
BOOTLOAD OK
GSM OK
Micro P OK
EXTROM FAIL
OS
Update Terminate
UPDATE FAIL
I cant install the windows installer one as WMDC 6.1 or ActiveSync 4.5 WILL NOT show the device up on the computer. I have Windows Vista Home Basic, and when I tried MTTY, the only ports I get are COM1, COM2, and COM3. I can't get the usb to show up. Even with MTTY 0.01 when I got the USB connection, it would not open. Is it Vista? Or am I not doing it right? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED TO GET MY POOR TREO BACK!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
~Mike

Is this universal (i.e. Hermes/BA/Trinity) or just for the Treo 750. I think what bricked it in the first place was installing a custom rom by veisen (WM 6.5)

That one thing didn't work. It keeps coming up ERROR 226: FLASH WRITE ERROR Anything else???

Hey guys,
I have been searching for about a week and I have not found the answer to this question. Sorry if this is a repost!!!
Does anyone know if it is possible to flash tilt with a new rom using windows 7?
I do know that I can use an SD card but prefer to flash it from a desktop "if possible"
Thanks,

Why wouldn't it be possible ?
Win & uses WMDC
I haven't seen any documentation on this so I am not sure what I need in order to set that up. Is there a reference or FAQ on how to do this? or what utilities I need?
just flash as usual... only thing change is they used to call activesync, but now it is windows mobile device center. i dont think you need any specific documentation...
Ah, no wonder I haven't found anything then. Nothing really has changed!!
Thanks for clearing it up for me.
Hmm I just tried flashing a rom and it told me that I needed a newer update utility. I searched the forum and didn't see anything. Any ideas where I can find a new KaiserCustomRUU.exe?
Moved as not ROM Development.
Regards new flashing utility there isn't one but the issue you mention has been covered before can't mem the fix.
Easiest way leave out comp and use SD.

It's not bricked, you can just do what waffles said above, and you will be able to flash the correct ROM.
However, please be very careful not to flash the wrong type of radio to your phone, otherwise it *will* be permanently bricked.
Dear waffles510,
It worked. Thanks, many thanks. I walked around with my spare Nokia today wich was a nightmare. I missed al the tools on the TP2.
Now I wonder why I need to connect with the WMDC normally.
Thanks!
