im trying to find out if there is a way to hang up a call with the handsfree button (the original handsfree) everytime i press the button it wants to "change call" instead of hanning up even thou there is no other call.
Keep the button pushed for a few seconds then release it. It will eventually hang up.

Ok, cause when I tried that i got to that speak a name and it would call up that name..
I only used it once.
This is what I get:
While not calling:
Press once: nothing happens
Press twice: Call the last guy who called me/I called
While calling:
Press once: hold/unhold the current guy
Remain pressed: hang up
By the way, I don't have that call people by voice thing, so I don't know how it interacts with that.
I dont have it either it just popups.
You probably have it. It's called Cyberon Voice Commander or something like that

when I'm driving close to my gf house when she's expecting me, I usually give a ring in her phone meaning "wait me outside, I'm close"
the way I currently do this is:
1) close car window in case it's opened, and turn off car radio (otherwise step 5/6 is useless, can't hear the ring)
2) turn the phone on
3) press the phone button
4) hold 5 (speed dial)
5) hold the phone button to get speaker on
6) wait for the ring and press phone off
7) turn phone off
ok, that's not very speed dial... and I have to look to the screen to find the "5" button (so, usually, before leaving home I check if she is the last call, so I can just press phone twice)
any alternatives?
maybe I can assign a hard button to "call number X"?
or some software that waits for a ring and turn off?
well
I merged 3 and 4 using Longkey+vjphonetools, now I just have to long press phone button
this helps a lot, since now I don't need to look at the phone
but it would be great if there's some application that just waits a ring then turn off
and/or someway to make the speaker louder
I tried a lot of threads, but didn't find anything that helped
Uh....MS Voice Command+Noise Cancelling Bluetooth....
You can try creating some script with MortScript. After that just assign this script to hardkey. If you use S2U2 and assign this script to LongSend key you just need to hold Send key for 5 seconds and the script executes (no need to turn on or unlock phone).

The dial button won't work on my phone suddently for some reason. If someone calls... it will allow me to hit it and it'll answer but if I just pick up my phone and hit the dial button (to dial someone) nothing will happen. It'll just show my today screen as if it's disabled for something. I can go the long way around and hit "phone" in my menu or hit the dial button when I happen to be in a program but it refuses to work just by pressing it?
Any ideas?
This is an double post.
One in the right section ''Harrald'' and a few hours later in this section ''Wings''
Please don't post anything about the T-mobile wing in the section of the HTC Wings!!!
This happens to often and is really annoying.

Try power cycling your phone, happened on my s730 once and that fixed it. Not sure what caused the button to fail out, probably was trying to run to my on my phone at the time. Either way try that and see what happens. If that doesnt work what software changes have you recently made if any?

Its not really annoying, and it doesnt really hurt you. You can nicely point them in the right forum's direction or maybe try to help them out. No need to chew people out for an honest mistake, I am sure you have made a few. I know I have.
Have you tried hard resetting the phone? Maybe it will work or maybe not.
Hi Guys...
I have the latest of Duttys Roms installed, and Gyrator 2.
Whenever i get an incoming call and i pick the phone up it auto-answers (only when i actually pick up the phone)
Im just wondering if anyone can point me to any non-standard areas that might be set up to do this? its annoying!
Thanks!
Very annoying indeed...I have exactly the same problem and I too have Gyrator.
I think it's when I try and 'silence' the phone when pressing the vol + or- button.
OK I solved my own problem, it seems. Just go to Gyrator 2, tap Menu>Events. See the last option 'Answer Call' or something, just remove that particular event.
Yep, confirmed. Thats the problem.
Gyrator was set to hit the 'send' button when the phone is picked up.
Thanks!
Hey people
This is propably not the right place to ask but..
i was thinking, why did HTC make the 'vibrate' function as a button? it would, for me at least, be much better to have it as a checkbox ! when i am at home i do not need the phone to do insane vibrations, and if the vibrate function was a checkbox instead of a button, it would be an easy way of making it stop vibrating ! Am i alone with this thought? And would it be possible to change this button to a checkbox somehow?
up to da top!
i dont see any problem in it being a button, rather its easier to press a button than trying to select a checkbox...

i dont really follow you. if you go home and want to make it stop vibrating, you can select a certain ringing volume...
Oh, i tink i understand what youre saying now: you have it set on vibrate and ring, so it rings AND vibrates when you select a certain volume in HTC volume menu. and once returned home, you would like to simply uncheck vibrate mode, so it doesnt vibrate.
I cannot say i have a solution for this, but I dont think too many people use it like you do, hence the lack of solutions. how about going to options like: vibrate once, then ring, or smth like that? smth that can be tolerated at home and still helpful when on the road?
hey guys sometime when i get and incoming call my phone start acting up and i cant slide up to take the call, my screen wont respond and no hard keys to press if some one know how to fix this please let me know if not im giving this wp7 a 2nd software update a chace to get this right. ms should be a genieus when it comes to software not apple or google. you never know when a emergency call comes in and you could not get it, im so concern about this. i had enough with 6.5 now this. but the problem is that i love ms i keep coming back. ****tttt
if a soft reset doesn't fix it you could hard reset. Just make sure you make a list of installed apps to make sure you get them all back on there.
I hadn't heard of this happening before.
I had the same problem once. I just switched the display off and on again (while the phone was still ringing) and then I could take the call.

+1 this happens from time to time.
hit the POWER button to shut of screen, this just powers of the sound and display and does not efect the incoming call.
Press the POWER button to turn the screen back on where you still see the incoming call and the screen will now respond correctly allowing you to answer.
no need to rest or anything.
