QWERTY problem after flashed O2 Xda into K-jam English!!

Hi all,
After reading some good topics on this forum, I flashed my German O2 Xda into K-jam English sucefully. The Qtek_9100_RUU_Prodigy_10107105_Qtek_WWE_ship & the i-mate K-JAM_WWE_1010903_106_10110 files
are 100% working.
But when using the slided out keyboard,the differnt letter & symbols mapping cause some problem. I always got
the wrong buttons!
When I press "Z" , I get letter "Y", when I press symbol "@", I get "+".
Can someone know how to resolve this?

Thanks for your suggestion, mitchello. I have tried it yet. I visited the website, but I think this mapping does not quite solve the problem, because it is a bit complicated & cannot solve the symobls layout.

4. for the german keyboard on english ROM
4a. get a registry editor (like Resco)
4b. search the Change the key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Qwerty]
4c. edit - Layout in decimal to 66567

I have changed the value 00000409 into 00000407 in the registry : \\currentcontrolset\control\keyboardlayout
active > 00000409 , but still nothing happen.
Could there be some extra files are needed?

Tried as you said, but could not find oem\Qwerty or similar. It only has a \\currentcontrolset\control\keyboardlayout
active > 00000409 , changing 00000409 into 00000407 did not help.
I gusess some more files are needed!

entrys, but nothing changes are working.
Nobody has an solution for the keyboard problem ?

Is it a QWERTY board?
I have upgraded my dutch (QWERTY) wizard to the 1.1.9 K-jam rom.
And it works fine, so the default key layout for that ROM is QWERTY.

i have an german keyboard and the imate k-jam rom and now
the keys z and y are not right. (and all the other symbol keys)
Other people has the same problem.

my German O2 XDA's physical keyboard layout is QWERTZ, but K-Jam English Rom require a physical keyboard layout of QWERTY. So there is a Z & Y (also some symbols ) mis-placing problem.

for me too the same ..
Now i searching an german rom, right keyboard has more prio then the 802.11g wlan.

If you don't want to edit the registry manually try using Registry Wizard. It's available for download in the regular Wizard forum and has an option for keyboard layout.

Help chanching my language settings to spanish

I wonder if you can help me, I am desperately looking for help, I got a HTC touch diamond in Dutch but I need to change all the setting into Spanish. I have been reading the post but I am not so technical at all.
I wonder if you can help me out by explaining which software and from where I can download it and the necesary instructions that I need to follow.
I bought the telephone in Holland but I need to bring it to Mexico for my brother and he does not speaks Dutch.

T9 Portuguese not working SOLUTION
I would first like to thank tabarda and iRiKi for the instructions and the CAB respectively. After installing the CAB, i still had no option of choosing Portuguese as my language so I decided to investigate. Going through tabarda's instructions and comparing to my phone's i found a little syntax error both on the instructions and on the CAB that prevented it from working. There was a space on the third step on the instructions that should not have been there. !!!Now, for some reason on this forum it is adding a space automatically even though it shouldn't so you are just going to have to pay attention when i say "with the space" and "without the space" !!!

it should read

If you installed the cab or followed tabarda's instructions to change your registry, you should open a registry software such as PHM RegEdit and go to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\Sip\
there you will see two nearly identical folders "Language KeyboardIDMapping" and "LanguageKeyboardIDMapping" Select the first folder (the one with the space!!!)
there tap and hold the file 0116 to open the options menu and then select cut.
Now go to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\Sip\LanguageKeyboardIDMapping]
!!!WITHOUT THE SPACE between "Language" and "Keyboard"!!!
tap and hold inside this folder and select paste. This should do the trick.
You can now go back to the original folder "Language KeyboardIDMapping" it should be empty, and as it is now longer used you can tap and hold the actual folder to open up the action menu where you can select delete to remove this folder from your registry.
P.S. Sorry for those of you that are a little more advanced but I was trying to write very detailed instructions to cover all levels, and I hope I accomplished that.

It doesn't work at my Diamond, maybe its a idea to insert your information in the T9 14 languages cab.

iRiKi, this is one of the best .cabs I've ever installed on my mobile. I am "Old School" and correct punctuation is a must for me. This is a sweet T9. Thanks man

Just because T9 is a good help for people who communicate in a other language than they speak native.

I installed this cab but when i go to the keyboard configuration i only get english, french, italian, german and spanish
when i use the kaiser keyboard i cant write the accents.

The cab file works on WM 6.0 (Smartphone Edition) but no more on WM 6.1 (PPC). Would you be so kind and cook this one for us?

I have downloaded & installed successfully the cab file iRiKi attached.
I also edit the registry to check the spaces addressed by rapvas.
However, I only have one folder with the LanguageKeyboardIDMapping; which has no spaces, & the values are also correct, "0116"="0916"
But Portuguese does not show under the T9 languages, even though I am using updated 2.03 ROM.
Anything else I need to change on my side, or any tricks you guys can suggest for me to get it to work?
PS: Portuguese is my home language too, so always get stuck when texting

I don't know why, but after that I have installed a Portuguese T9 on my Touch Pro I don't have any dictionary anymore. I can select between english and portuguese but neither works. When I type in the "FN" key and so in the "T9 - Space" key, on the slide keyboard, nothing happens and the autocomplete doesn't work.
Can someone help me with this? There are something what I can do to have the T9 on my Touch Pro again?

I've tried in my HD2 with uk rom, the portuguese option apear and i selected it. After that when i press any key no char apear on screen....

Hello! I installed this cab on my Touch Diamond 2. I can select "Portuguese" but when I try to use it when I press any letter, it does not show on the message. As if there are no words in the dictionary?

- one touch typing available on your own language
- world completion available on your own language
- localized keys to any cooked/shipped ROM
Cons:
- Capital äöæøå doesn't work in fullqverty ABC-mode (T9-mode OK)
Tested in Panosha light 5 (1.93.xxx.x) successfully.
Edit (26.07-08): I removed other files because the.cab file is installable/uninstallable now. Installation doesn't remove any other nordic/english dictionaries.

You don't need those. Just install cab. Working fine with my Diamond.

I think I found a bug. If using Full QWERTY with T9, "Ä" is recognized as "." and "Ö" as ",".

Thanks I think this improve my chances learning Finnish

Ä and Ö do not work.
I can not use ä or ö. When I press ä or ö, it is the same to as to press long time, common or blob.
What should I do?

I rearranged nordic keys.
@Meiz: True, there was a bug. I fixed the bug by rearranging the keys. It should be Ok now.
@Matti23: It should work OK now .
@Friborg: I added Danish letters only for you
In full qwerty-layout, ABC-mode nordic capitals äöå don't work. In T9-mode it is OK.

æøåöä-keys is also added to landscape full qwerty graphic.

Just wanted to say great work man ! Damn i missed those swedish keys and swedish T9.
The only thing that could make me happier right now is if I could get the swedish keys on the full keyboard also, Is this possible or planned for a future release?

This is how you change your hardware keyboard layout, if for example you've flashed your X1 with another language, and your keyboard layout is messed up. I flashed my Swedish X1 with a UK rom, and I'm now using the Swedish keyboard with this registry change.
Change the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD\CurLang
to whatever you want your layout to be. The default is CurLang=409 (hex).
English - 409 (tested - works)
Finnish - 40b (tested - works)
Swedish - 41d (tested - works)
German - 407 (tested - works)
Italian - 410 (tested - works)
French - 40c (tested - works)

Make sure to edit the value in hex!

Program to edit the registry with the phone: Total Commander

Unlock the registry.

Will it Work with the .cab of TOUCH HD keyboard?... When we install that .cab we can`t write üöä è on the fisical keyboard

why not add the "full list of codes" linked in post #1?

I added Finnish anyway, since I'm a Finn myself

unfortunately this does not solve my accent key, problem.
after i flashed my xperia with touchflo3d and installed a few apps including blackstone keyboard, my accent key stopped working so i don't know which one to blame, hence i don't know how to fix it.
anyone else having the same issue? any help appreciated

Keyboard Layout after WM6.5 upgrading

Dears:
I am trying to retain the arabic keyboard layout from the original ROM because I waited long time to buy the arabic device. Then when we started the upgrading, it's all gone.
I found accidently the following cab file in the windows folder of the original WM6.1 ROM. So I figured if I install it on WM6.5 customs roms it will re-enable the arabic keyboard, or so I thought.
Anyone can offer help on how to have the arabic keyboard working and see whether this file is of real use or not? thanks.

ok, so no one can answer, let me now rephrase the question maybe it becomes simpler.
If you have an official NBH for your TP2 device which comes defenetly with special files and settings to activate non-english characters (in my case arabic), how can I find these files and settings and extract them from the NBH file?

Thank you for your concern. This discussion is about remapping the main keys to a different language. What I am looking for are the suplemtnatry keys which are activated after pressing the mail key as it has a symbol of switch language.
So in other words, I have 2 languages on my keyboard, english and arabic, and there is a key that changes the complete keyboard to arabic or vice versa dynamically.
I am hoping to find a solution for that
