Is there any way to hide the menu bars? The bottom and top one?
oh yeah, this is excactly what i wanted to ask!
Bottom bar is easy to hide - Several apps available on this site. Cant think of them right now at this moment. I also would like to hide my top menue bar but have not found anything yet. Don't think that it is possible withouth WIZBAR advance.
Here it is for hiding bottom bar. Just follow this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=378446
I also want an easier way to hide top bar without having to use Wizbar advance
Edit: I can't guarantee that it will work for the Diamond though. Works on my HTC Touch Elf with WM 6

Is it possible?
Yes. With todayshrink you can get rid of the Softkeynames on todayscreen and get this space free for e.g. todayagenda.
And yes - on all other apps the softkeytext is shown again.
And yes - the softkeys on today work, when pressing the related hardwarebutton.
OK - you have to keep in mind what is located on the hardware/softkey button - haha
I like it....
Just what I needed, My agenda fits perfect now!

2) LakeridgeSoftware wisbar advance 3 {shareware}
3) SBSH iLauncher 3.1 onwards(not sure about this, but, i guess it does) {shareware}

I tried without success several softwares to hide the softkeynames :
- Wisbar Advanced : the functionality "hide the softkeys" does not work
- Todayshrink and dcinobar : they hide the softkeys but finally the space is not free (it just hides)
- VJtoggletoday(alpha) works but it hides both taskbars !
Can someone help me to hide just the bottom taskbar ?
I have a HTC P3600 with WM5

look at my Screenshot..... the space is used.....
when you see little icons in bottombar than the "tray" like systray on PC is running. then the space cannot be used by todayshrink.....
Actually with Todayshrink the taskbar is hidden. But my systray disapears on screen... Is it normal?

you do not need to hide softkeys when you still use the systray.... that makes no sense....
so it should hide the systray....
I am sorry not to be clear.
Normally the systray is located just over the bottom taskbar, right?
When i used Todayshrink, the taskbar was hidden but also the systray !! I thought that the systray would be at the same place than the bottom taskbar!
Here is a screenshot.
The taskbar has disappeared but there should be my systray at bottom

NOOOO!!!!
Why??
The systray will not appear when using todayshrink.....
It is for getting more space on today...
Ok, so there is no possibility to have more space by hiding the taskbar but also keeping the systray?

if you activate in Battery Status the trayIcons you have the sysbar back
Ghostrider
I activated the trayIcons in batterystatus but it didn't work
Maybe because I'm in WM5?
Hey guys.
I love this forum and have had a great experience with everyone I have talked to so far. Thanks a lot.
I have not yet found a cab to remove the bottom title bar which usually has touch functions for the two soft keys, calendar and contacts. I am trying to remove this bar, does anyone know of any cabs that can accomlish that? I have only found a cab so far that removes the top but not the bottom.
Also I wanted to know if a program that can place items on my today screen starting from the bottom like an iPhone or LG Prada. I see many people on the Today screen post have that feature but I have yet to find the post where the program or method exist to perform that task. Thanks for your help guys.

For your first request, you can accomplish this with either of the following:
1. Vijay ToggleToday at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=243211&highlight=vjtoggletoday This allows you to toggle the bottom bar, top bar, or both. The latest version does appear to work on WM5 and WM6.
2. Wisbar Advance 3 - this is a commercial app that has a primary focus on task management and skinning your top bar; however a side benefit is the ability to remove the bottom bar.
I have no idea on your 2nd request. Good luck.
thanks for your help with the one issue I am having. appreciate it.
I tried installing Vijay ToggleToday but it could only clear the top menu bar and not the bottom. Have you got this to work on yours? I am currently using WM 6.1 and I think that might be an issue.
Is Wisebar a free program?

commercial app = not free
@Brianlau
Not your fault as a new member, but the matter you raise is not what we consider an upgrading (for which read "development" ) issue. We are currently considering re-naming "Upgrading etc" to something with the word development in it so it's not so confusing.
I will move your thread to the regular Kaiser Forum and leave an expiring re-direct here in case someone is in the middle of giving you an answer.
Cheers
Mike
I just got the app but am unsure which menu or settng you need to adjust in order to remove the bottom section of the soft keys. anyone know?

great question....anyone???
Wisbar advance can do this and is what i use. You can hide the softkey buttons and also customise the app bar at the bottom of the screen - ie remove it or add shortcut icons to applications. Software is not fre but allows alot of customisation.
For the price, $10, I think everyone should buy Wisbar Advanced. I've been using it since I bought a Wizard and love it. It cleans up the icons and fonts on the menus and adds a lot of options.

Not that ive seen, it does that so you can see all your today stuff.
you can use some application for today screen with tabs. i use Ultimate Launch, but there are some other apps that do something like this. try searching for "tabbed today screen".
i use spb pocket plus... i think its a little more user friendly... UL is a little settings crazy
Hey,
I'm using a Touchflo 3d rom on my X1 and was wondering if there is a way to hide the startmenu very much like we can on any normal windows? I'w been searching google for days without any findings.
Also, are there any .cabs for just the Touchflo Calendar & tab?
Thanks alot
/FreUd
what do u mean hide the start menu? isn't it hidden untill you press start?
or do u mean hide the whole top row (inc. start button and icons etc.)
i believe TS want to hide the whole panel which i know it can be done if you are using pointui home2, not sure with other shell apps.
V
You can use Wisbar Advance to hide the entire start menu
Yes, I ment the entire bar, like in windows where you can just "scroll" over it to show.
