Hi,
I'm a guy from Denmark who has a simple question. I've recently done a hard-reset on my kaiser (in Denmark the Kaiser is called HTC TyTN 2) and i was wondering what programs to install. Which programs are "a must have" and which are just good/nice to have....etc.
Hope You can help !
Yours Morten

Welcome !
A good start for you would be the huge wiki that the Mods and other valuable members have created since the Kaiser is out (Here), you'll find all the info you need (and most of the time all the answers you need, as it is really huge).
After that (or at the same time), feel free to use the "search" function, either on top of the forum, either in the Kaiser sub-forum (so-called " Search this Forum"), to search only threads related to Kaiser.
Have fun with your brand new Kaiser.
PS: please, read the forum rules also. Posting is "allowed" only when it's contributing or you need assistance. Please bare in mind too, that his forum is huge, and soooo many things have been discussed already, that posting should be very rare

Hi everyone
I have just bought my MDA Vario all is great, but I have noticed that the T-Mobile Customization software slows the device a great deal, has anyone attempted getting rid off it and how? The T-Mobile software is really annoying please help guys !!!
Cheers
Arthur
Hello Arthur,
I suggest you read the Mr Clean goes to London post or look up the Molski rom.
Custom T-Mobile 2.26 Rom (Dutch and WWE). (wwe is the language code for English).
I will assume that as you have just got your Vario its a G4 version so you will need to be brave and follow this tutorial to get a clean rom system on it.
[How-To] Install any 2.x ROM in a CID-Locked G3 or G4 Wizard.
You could also follow this tutorial to start with.
Make Your MDA Vario Wizard Work Better - tips and tweaks.
Wish someone had felt sorry for me and given me this advice when I joined the Forum a few weeks ago but yuo will find that you will have to do a lot of reading yourself as Newbies tend to be treated a bit as thought hey are an annoyance which is a shame!!
If you get stuck PM me although I am nearly as greeen at this as you.
All the best mate

ps. I have flashed mt rom using the Mr Clean and it works although I have a few software conflicts. Will try the Molski Rom tonight and report back.

Hey Purser,
Newbies are always welcome here, we do expect you to do your own legwork though. The problem is not that we are annoyed at Newbies but rather that too many seem to feel entitled to just pop-in and ask questions without even reading the stickies at the top of every forum.
If a newbie posts a question about AKU 2.3 Rom in one of the AKU 2.3 threads then they are generally responded to kindly. On the other hand when someone just starts a new thread titled "NEED HELP!!!" and then Post "Just got my 8125 3 minutes ago, what's the best Rom" (oh and this is their first post with 1 minute of joinging XDA-Dev) then they will not get the same respect.
We were all newbies once. I remember find this place when I had my SX-66 (BlueAngel), I read for two weeks before I tried anything and then I nearly messed myself during my first Rom flash. Now almost a year later I'm more experienced and on my second HTC device (already eying #3). I had been reading the Wizard forum for about 1 month before I purchased my Cing 8125.
Hi, i'm new to this forum, but i've read a lot of threads and posts.
I bought a P3600 2 months ago. And it came with WM6 installed, cause i didn't buy it in a official store, i bought it by internet.
The point is do not like WM6 very much because it has a lot of bugs.
My question is, with WM5 can i use gps? Is there any good reason to use WM6 instead of WM5?
Thanks in advance. I'm from Argentina, sorry for my english
PIORCH
yes wm5 came out with a rom which enabled gps
Thanks for your answer, can you tell me where can i find that rom?
Piorch
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Trinity_Upgrades
in one of the places that says Yes in the GPS column
Thank you very much! That was what i needed. Thanks a lot!

Hello Community,
today i received my new mda vario from t-mobile. Of course i immediately installed some programms, but thats not enough anymore i want to upgrade to windows mobile 6 or 6.1 if possible. I searched lots of hours in this forum, but i still didn't find a good rom for me.
Could you please help me to find a good rom for me? It should have this "touchflow", to use the phone without a stylus, like an iphone. Other things are not that important...
Thanks in advance for your help.

PS: Sorry, if my english is not that good, i hope you understand me

You should search the WM6 section. You can read a lot of opinions there
I'm using the AMP ROM with very pleasant results (without need to overclock!!)
cheers
there are plenty of "Best ROM" out there...you just need to read and test one by one. There is no 1 so called-best ROM suit every individual. You have to experience it yourself. Last but not least, read before you flash. Everyone here was newbie before, it took sometimes to get familiar. But believe me, all sources are here in XDA.
Good luck and happy reading,
Cheers

Hi darkslayer,
Welcome to our forums,
We at XDA developers expect a certain level of activity from your side, like reading the stickies and the wiki and do a search before asking "that what has been asked many times before".
Don't get intimidated by my reply, do some reading (and some more) and have a pleasant stay here at XDA-devs.

Welcome to XDA and Happy Flashing your HD2!
Indeed a very warm welcome to XDA. I'd advise you to read the forum rules, HD2 wiki for more information on your device as well as the forum stickies (thread at top of each forum which are stuck in these positions due to them being very useful and informative)
