not to rain on your parade but that doesn't really allow anything in the free version but your phone to connect..... which is better than nothing but you might as well use the program that allows you to have your device show up as a mass storage drive (like a usb flash drive)

DOSBOX for Android - Finally!

Dosbox is now in the process of being ported to Android. Check out the alpha version and for those who are able to help with programming, do help
http://androiddosbox.appspot.com/
Finally happy to be able to see this working on my HTC Dream/G1!
looks good
I can see it runs games and all, but I'm not too sure what exactly what it is/about/system

It emulates DOS, hence the name "DOSBox".
It's good because not many older PC games use the mouse, so you can effectively play them without much workaround.
I don't get it...
...I thought android was about open source, not emulating closed platforms.

I thought GNU/Linux was about open source, but what's all this WINE madness Theoretically you can emulate a really old version of Windows itself in DOSBox (It works on desktop versions), but we'll see how that plays out.

If it's so much better than your first computer, why would you want to run the same operating system that it did? Personally, I'm waiting for CP/M support on my phone...

So run your favorite CP/M emulator under dosbox, probably still faster than a 4.77 MHz Z80.
But remember to ctrl-c if you swap sd cards, otherwise you might loose what you were working on in wordstar or basic...
I got warlords 2 running under it no problems, and pretty smooth
question
i installed borland c 3.1 on the dosbox, the problem is i can't find alt key or mouse click key to use it on my HTC Desire, anyone has any idea?
I don't know much, but if you need some testing on a G2 let me know. Temporary root and overclocked to 1.42 ghz
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
hehe... i just tried to play XCOM UFO on it.
works except its really jumpy and the screen constantly flashes black, not bad for an alpha release.
got to the menu screen and was unable to use the mouse to select "english"
will have a tinker and see how far I can push it
would love to spend many a lunch time playing the old classics!

Oh I So Hate Myself

Yesterday, my old computer crashed so I went shopping for a new computer. I don't know what I was thinking, but I came home with a iMac 24'' desktop.
So, say goodbye to my cooking days. This DOES NOT mean that I'll be getting an iphone..NEVER. I will wait until October for WP7(not soon enough).
Moved to Off Topic.
Now why would you choose that? There are a lot of computers coming out with up-to-par technology. Hate to say it, but bad decision.
Imac your going to need a drink or two

Yes, precisely that is the reason why I decided on iMac.
so far I like it. I like it because I didn't have space for the mini/Tower and I didn't care much for HP touchsmart.

Yeah the developer is always improving it. The free version works awesome, its just the paid version makes it a little more convenient

any program similar to this?
my computer doesnt like the Java interface
^^ Seriously? Install java. It's cross-platform. It's designed to be compatible with your computer.

MightyText...its in beta right now so good luck getting in but if you do you will love it. So much more convenient when on the computer to just respond through the computer.

Great site, I have a folder on google drive of all their photos since the start of the site (that i like and are high enough resolution to look decent). I have my win7 pc cycling through the folder changing every fifteen minutes and I'm constantly looking for a Muzei extension that lets me use drive, like dropzei but for drive. Anyone know of anything that'd work?
Very nice, thanks for the link.
thanks for the link.!

Sweet.

How you use your android device for better productivity?

What applications do you use to make your work less cluttered and more organized?
Please give a solid app suggestion!
I believe modern mobile tech is great. We can and have accomplished a lot with them, but I wish we could do more. That reason is what inspired me to write this post.
Thanks!

In these days you can do everything on your phone what u can do on a big computer except of the real games, if you do something on your pc what helps you you can do the same on your phone so why dont use it when you forgot something and you are already laying in front of the tv to do the work.

Phone works a treat when your in a lecture that's going downhill, and you cant pull out a 15in laptop. Feedly works a treat when you want to catch up on tech news/developments that you would otherwise be reading if weren't stuck in a lecture. #productivity
