new owner some questions please. - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Got tilt last week.
Kinda scared to unlock with software. paid $10 for unlocking service on ebay. very fast.
I would like to flash the rom with a faster performing one but my main question is do I need jumspl or hardspl if it's unlocked?
Also when exactly do I install the radio?
is the order like this?
jumpspl, hardspl, radio, rom?
I did read the tons of pages, but no offense to anyone but it's not written in a user friendly kinda way. again, no offence.
What's the faster performing roms out there?
I'm also having problems wih my activesync. I got a red exclamation mark on the system tray. I have 3 unresolved items in the window. tried to fix them which are some favorites but need to install outlook. I can't sync anything else besides pics and videos as well. I do have outlook express working so what the heck does it want me to do?
any help appreciated.

You did not.

Oh yeah, and I cannot find a quote but its goes like this:
And dont ever try to ask, which one is the best/fastest ROMs.

saw that one and read, twice.. still doesn't answer questions. After phone is unlocked do I need jumpspl and hardspl? it talks about cid unlock, which i'm assuming i don't need since I unlocked? which still, it isn't written well. I have to say people , especially the seniors have little patience for giving new people guidance. The guide is not written well, and doesn;t answer any question I just asked except the rom question which I still don't why do people get so impulsive about that. It's not a nice way to treat new people IMO.
as well if you ask newbies, I will tell you the information is too spread out and quite unorganized. check this page tell me if you don't htink someone did this after smoking something:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397434
with 40000 links is a newbie supposed to understand with all those links.? I don't think so. I did see the link which shows the whole process and again, doesn't answer the specific questions.

Just for be safe - flash HardSPL.
You can always revert back to original one. Answer how to do it is somewhere in the Kaiser Wiki.

Changing Operating system for BEGINNER

I can tell by what im reading here you all know your stuff very well. I, on the other hand, do not know what the heck your talking about %90 of the time. I HAVE searched the threads to see if I can get some straight info on my dilemma and cant find a simple enough answer to follow. So, im going to ask the question knowing it may have been asked and answered before. This time, im hoping, someone can give me an answer in laymans terms I can actually follow and perform.
My question is this:
I have both an O2 XDA Mini S AND a Cingular 8125. Same unit, different look. The O2 is UNLOCKED, the Cingular is LOCKED. I prefer the Cingular unit but Id much rather have the O2 OS and software. I was told if I was to re-install the O2 operating system (is this known as the ROM?) onto the Cingular device I would not only get the best of both worlds but It would also effectively UNLOCK the Cingular device at the same time (which I need as im not a cingular customer).
Can anyone tell me HOW to do this without all the confusing info and big words. Im not an idiot, im just not inclined technically... at least not this way.
I have used threads on this site to unlock phones before and im very good at following directions. But when the directions start asking for Radio versions and other things like that I just loose it. Is there a simple way to just erase whats on the 8125 and load whats on the XDA Mini S? If I do this is everything going to be screwed up and require a bunch of fiddling around to make all the features work? I dont want to improve on anything, I just want the functionality of the O2 with the form of the Cingular.
Any help with this would be great. I dont require anyone to tell me to search the forums for an answer. If thats what you feel you need to do, just dont post. Ive searched and cant find what im looking for.
Thanks to all those who make this site possible. You make the devices I love work for me when others cant.

Have you already read this thread ?

It's hard to be more clear than this...
Bye 8)
Wow, just read that post RANGEL. Im beginning to think im simply too much of a beginner to do something like this. As I said, im not an idiot, but im not inclined towards this type of stuff. I was hoping for a simple, link to link, step by step walkthrough of how to, quite simply, put an unlocked O2 OS onto my Cingular device. I have no idea what all the technical jargon on that thread you liked to means.
I think ill just take the safe route and stick with my unlocked O2 XDA Mini S and not mess with anything. The last thing I want is to mess up a $500 device. Ill just sell the Cingular device on e-bay.
Thanks for the link though. Unless something much more simple comes along I need to be smart enough to know when im outmatched.
Pavmentsurfer
pavmentsurfer,
I also noticed (it is hard not to) confusing style of these forum. We are maybe just too old...
There are just too many typed letters in these messages. Some threads are speeded on more than 15 pages.
Who can read all that from the beginning to the end?
This link, rangel sended, is one of the easiest, but...
I made copy/paste to word all relevant (I hope so) lines. Otherwise it is too hard to follow guide across thread, because it is too many noise around main speaker/writer.

Stupid question -- How to tell if my phone is CID unlocked.

How do I tell if my wizard is still CID unlocked?

Dude. Seriously, if you have nothing better to do than to critique people's posts on an online forum, you need to get out more. I suggest www.citysearch.com or something to find things to do. Just a suggestion.
Vjay has a good point, you'll have a better chance of getting a response simply by taking the time to write a meaningful topic title.
A good example would be, oh I don't know "How do I tell if my wizard is still CID unlocked?"
You this way if I know how to answer your question then I would know that I can provide the answer from the forum index.
On the other hand I really don't know the answer to "I have a stupid question" and just might figure that the poster must not really want an answer since they could not be considerate enough as to provide a meaningful subject.
BTW, I do know how to find-out if a device is CID unlocked (and it is quite simple)..
sk7575: as a moderator, I'm expected to expound the philosophy and morality of the forum as well as I can, and to keep the forum in check as far as possible.
I use the “View Posts Since Last Visit” button to review all posts, very often, through the day. I try to answer every post I feel competent to impart useful information on. Your post title is unhelpful to me and every other member who might otherwise be able to help you. It doesn’t particularly bother me that you don’t wish to provide an unhelpful topic title, but if you take the address off your house, how do you expect people to find you?

I do have better things to do then delve into every unhelpful post. I do wish to get out more, but I'm stuck here responding to your "stuipid question".
Anyway, unfortunately I don't have a Wizard, so can't help you with CID locking etc, but I'm sure others could help you. Once again, I advise you to change the title of this thread.
I can do it for you if you're on citysearch.com.

Dude. You do not like vijay when he is angry And of all the members here, vijay is not the one you want to mess with You ought to be new here.
Anyway, if you want to make sure your phone is CID unlocked, just unlock it again. No harm done unlocking it twice.
If you want to CID-lock your phone (e.g. you should have stated this clearly on your question, so I do not have to list out 2 different scenario), the software you used to unlock your phone will have instruction how to lock it back using the CID-lock backup file it generates.
If you wanted to CID-lock your phone because.. ..
Anyway, I can list out many scenario, better if you just let us know what and why you want it.

Thank you for your response, but I do believe I was pretty clear with my question. I simply want to know if there is any setting that can be checked to determine if it is unlocked or not, without having to unlock it again. If I wanted to know how to lock I would have asked "how do I CID lock it" .
To my knowlwdge you can't tell. Myself, I'd just unlock the phone, but that's me.
I have to agree with the Doctor, after posting your "stupid Question", you could have unlocked your phone at least 20 times with all programs available on this forum.
Then your "stupid question" would have been answered.
But here you are 24 hours later....................
still would be nice to see CID-lock-status without being forced to do an unlock..
Speaking only for myself, I've never cared whether I could tell if my device was locked or not. After making the decision that I was solely responsible for anything that I did to my PDA, most certainly voiding my warranty, and most likely not caused by nor endorsed by any present administration, I unlocked my CID and my SIM.
Now I am truly free indeed!
Any custom ROM updates published here i.e.: not official vendor updates, require that your phone is unlocked, period.
As I said, I speak only for myself, but after being here for a while I think I have the pulse of the contributors here regarding this. Unlock your phone. If you can't remember if you did, then unlock again. It's really no big deal.
thank you fellas, for the lesson on how to alienate people
I won't express any self-doubt or in this forum.
Janis, remember that most people are on the board because they need help, or want to help. sk7575 didn't do himself many favours by originally using an unhelpful post title. Fortunately he's corrected that - unfortunately, he hasn't quite found the answer he was looking for.
The guys and gals on the board can be *****y and obtuse, but at the same time, they can make exceptionally generous contributions of their time. I get a surprising number of posts from people saying that they are too frightened to post questions on the forum. This surprises me - everyone should read the forum rules (try clicking on my flaming V to find them), try searching the forum and wiki, but after that, any question goes as far as I'm concerned.
I hope that we don't alienate, and frankly, being geeks, we're probably all racked with self doubt and bad body odour. C'est la vie - it's the human condition.
Apologies to all offended!

Thanks for your assistance Vijay. I got better responses once I fixed my topic.
Regarding people being afraid to post. I'm not surprised. This forum, like any other tech forum, is full of 75% type A personality people that are intolerant and *****y when they think people ask questions that are beneath them. Not everyone is great at troubleshooting, and not everyone wants to spend the time that some of us do researching problems. Sometimes, non-tech people may come here, and all they want is an answer, and a quick answer. there is nothing wrong with that. They probably see the bigger picture better than some of us.
It always baffled me why people post *****y responses in forums. take for example the people that responded to my posts saying "just unlock again". Yeah, thats an answer, but is it too much to ask for some utility that checks if you are unlocked? My question was asked like that for a reason -- i was trying to flash some ROMs, was having some issues, and when I went to CID unlock it was giving me some errors. I came to find out later that it had nothing to do with CID unlocking, it was in fact unlocked, but it would've been nice to see an indicator of such.
My point?? If people dont like the question, just ignore it and move on. Even had I asked my original question in the new more detailed fashion I ended up asking it a day later, I still would've gotten the "just unlock it again" responses from people. To those people I again say, just ignore it if you are going to respond with a silly answer.

You still dont get it then. You all didnt need to know those details, I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF THERE WAS AN INDICATOR OF WHETHER THE BOOTLOADER WAS UNLOCKED.

I understand that completely but from the description you posted the problem wasn't even related to CID unlock status. Had you posted the actual issue chances are very good that within the first few responses someone would have pointed you in the right direction because they had experienced the same thing.
You see the problem you were trying to solve wasn't CID unlock but rather the errors you received while flashing the ROM. You thought it was related to CID unlock but in the end you were wrong. Had you stated the actual problem you were experiencing then you probably would have gotten to the solution a lot quicker.
That is the point I'm trying to make.

T-Mobile MDA Question

I'm new to the MDA. I just switched jobs and turned in my tricked-out 8125, I was given a squeaky clean MDA with the following specs:
ROM 1.8.10.1 WWE
ROM Date 12/10/05
Radio Version 01.09.10
Protocol Version 4.0.13.20
Ext. Rom 1.8.10.104
Please provide me with a recommendation for a rom and anything that I may need to do to unlock it. Sorry for the noob question, but it's my first day with the MDA and first time ever with T-Mobile.
Thanks in advance
it's first time for everything mate. now start searching for the first time.
If you absolutely have to update it and you have no idea what you're doing, go to t-mobile's web site and download the official 2.26 update. At least then you'll have some defense if it goes sour. In the meantime, there's a ton of information already here, it's not all that hard to find and, not to be smart but no one is going to hold your hand, press the buttons for you and take the blame when you flash the wrong thing and fry your expensive new toy. Personally, I use T-mobile's official 2.26 release because it works quite well and I don't have to worry about voiding the warrantee.
SO if you had your 8125 tricked-out then how do you not know what or how to do this to your MDA Vario?
I mean they're basically the same device except for some minor cosmetics.
If you had the 8125 how you liked it just do the same to the MDA.

Congrats man I love my mda and T-mobile has been good to me thus far but as for as roms you should do the your homework and use the search. Try a few different ones till you find one that suits you best. Good Luck
I didn't ask for directions on how to plugin the USB cable, so your sarcasm is uncalled for. I was sending out a message to the group looking for advice on lessons learned from upgrading to various ROM's. I was more comfortable upgrading my 8125 because it seemed as though there were ROM's specifically designed for Cingular. If you were offended by my question, don't reply.
There is really nothing more annoying than people who respond to a question with NO CONTENT! If you're only response is to flame the one who asked the question, save everyone's time. Those who flame are usually too ignorant to provide a worthwile response.

It's not flaming, just imagine how many people come to this forum the first day asking the same question. There's no answer to your question as what was already said.
The 8125 is the same as the MDA, the T-mob ROM mentioned is the basis for most of all modified ROM's in this post and for you the safest.
If you use this, it is the latest, try this one first, instal your stuff, backup with spb or sprite, then read thru the posts and see if there is something you could use or do.
I even went back to the 2.26, the Molski one with 30mb RAM free.
Again do what's suggested go to the T-mob site and download/install th update. The flaming is only to stop you from being the next one on forum with: "Help I bricked my MDA.........."
http://www.t-mobileapps.com/downloadcenter/Software_Detail.cfm?ID=80
Is the one.

Well, actually there is one thing more annoying: Someone who is too lazy to do their own research!
Now back to the serious...
Meaningless questions like "What should I put on my phone" can't be answered by anyone here. First you need to ask yourself some basic questions such as:
What are you looking to do with your phone?
What function is most important to you?
How much performance are you willing to give-up to achieve this?
Which is more important to you Battery life or speed?
And the list goes on...
Dude, you just need to think about this and ask yourself not others.
Now if you asked something like" I want to be able to see everything that I have coming up on my calender in the next month on my today screen, which program handles this the best?" you will several helpful answers but first you need to define that feature you are looking for.
Just asking "What is the best Rom" or "Which programs should I install" makes you look lazy, stupid or both.
While we're at it, your Thread Title "T-Mobile MDA Question" is useless. It doesn't give the reader any hint of what the question is. The Thread title really should have the basic question in it like "I'm looking for advice on Calendar Today Plug-ins". This will at least allow those who couldn't care less about Today Plug-ins for the calendar to skip your thread while attracting the attention of those who have extensive experience and knowledge of such plug-ins because they share at least one of your goals with their phone use.
I have a T-mobile MDA, bought new, unlocked. I am using it on another carrier, Suncom.
If I upgrade the rom with this T-mobile rom, will it cause my phone to be locked back to T-mobile, or will it remain unlocked?
I have been looking for an answer to that question, but have not found the answer posted anywhere.

Upgrading doesn't relock (either SIM or CID) your device.
In that case, I'll do my first ROM upgrade!
Thanks

The T-mobile rom install was smooth, no problems. Only took about 10 minutes.
Dont think it will but even if it does all you have to do is unlock it again. Not a big deal

SPV M700 Flash with latest HTC Rom with GPS.. Help!

I'm sure it's been covered in a thread but I'm not able to find it so would appreciate someone explaining the following......
Is it possible to flash my bog standard M700 with the latest HTC ROM from their website?
I've been given a copy but I couldn't download it because of the Orange IMEI number would not resolve. Presumably there are no issues due to this and it will work just fine?
Lastly, has anyone written a step by step idiot guide to doing this? If not could someone please reply and tell me? I'm not all that techy with ROMs but can am OK with PCs and registry stuff etc.
Many thanks in advance!!
You're right it has been covered ;-), HOWEVER.....
NO you cannt use the HTC version on the Orange M700, it's just for the HTC branded phones. SO now relax and get a cooked version... Either MUN-RUS OR LVSW's are good. I personally have the LVSW version......
Look for it in the Trinity WM6 forum.
In the first post is ALL the software you need, grab all 3 bits of software, apply them in order as listed in the instructions. And thats it, shiney new WM6 M700.... however remeber after you do this to remake all the MMS settings etc etc otherwise Photo Messaging etc etc wont work BUT on Oranges' web site there is a "me Proof" guide to putting it right ;-)
Thats it, go get'em fella
Thanks, Just out of interest, why won't the HTC ROM work, after all it's still an HTC device!
Being lazy... do you have the link to the post please?
So you found this site, BUT cannt within this site find the Trinity Mobile 6 Forum or read the very first 2 posts in there?
Get a grip ;-)
As for the HTC thing... guess it's to stop people taking thier software off them and using it elsewhere, and all the troubles that entails with licsencing etc, ALSO dont forget Orange "Value Add" to the phone (brand the day lights out of it ;-) )
Yes found the link!! Just didn't think it was that obvious so wasn't looking at the top! Dohh!
What's Value Add?
Can anyone point me toward instructions on how to extract or backup my exiting Orange M700 ROM in can the upgrade goes pear shapped?
Still a little confused as to why the HTC ROM will not work. Can someone explain properly please?
It is all explained on the forums if, as deech says you "get a grip"
Do a search.
The reason upgrading will not work is mentioned in this the upgrade forum if you look. If you can't even look for it I'm not sure you'll understand the information though as it would involve thinking.
The way to backup a rom is also mentioned in this forum. In fact if you could be bothered to search you could quite easily find one that's already been made by one of the members of this forum in this forum section. It's even on this first page of this upgrade forum.
I don't quite agree with Deech though. I say you should get off your lazy arse and actually look for the information you want rather than just expecting everyone to point out information that's right in front of your eyes if you just look.
Sorry to flame but it drives me nuts that people can be so lazy and expect everyone else to find the information for them.
Value Add..... all those shiney little things that Orange and Vodafone etc add to the basic software, Like the WAP portal, Today Pages, etc etc, a straight HTC ROM (or Nokia, or Motorloa) ROM is very plain and boring, but often works sooo much better than that provided by the Mobile Company after they have "tinkered" with it, hence Value Added.
I agree though you shouldnt be re-flashing your phone if you cannt work the search button and read and FULLY understand what the hell is happening, and how to make things right IF they go wrong ;-)
If you know ehere something is it take 10 seconds to actually be helpful and tell someone whos asks in a polite manner!!
For example you would have trouble finding the difference between a half inch Whitworth and a half in UNC bolt!! I, on the other hand could tell you in less then 10 seconds.
Thanks for all your help!
Excuse me all overe the place BUT... I've just trawled through here and can't find anywhere that says the M700 cannot be flashed with the latest Trinity ROM from HTC, and the reasons why.
Am I right?
Here's what you do. Download the official HTC ROM and try flashing your phone with it, then you might actually believe us when we tell you that you can't flash your phone with it. The official reason that you can't use it on your phone is because your phone isn't actually an HTC phone, it's an Orange SPV M700. Or so they'll have you believe.
I understand the difference between a half" Whitty and a half" UNC. One's a Whitty and one's a UNC, easy
Read the forums, then ask questions.
Peace,
BS...

Hi m8, Looks like you're in need of a little friendly advice, so here goes!
Despite what they're all telling you in this thread, you *CAN* quite easily flash the latest HTC Trinity ROM to your M700... You will first need to unlock your phone OR use the SoftSPL method described in this thread:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293632
Unfortunately, you will need to educate yourself a little to achieve what you desire and this means READ and UNDESTAND the above thread before you attempt anything!
All the ROM's you could ever wish for are available through this site, here :-
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Trinity_Upgrades
To be even more helpful, the HTC ROM you require is here :-

(Looking at one of your other help question threads, it looks like you don't know how to download from Rapidshare, you need to go to the bottom of the above linked page and click the "FREE" button, then choose your download site from the page that follows... enter the security key as shown and dah dah.... a download!)
If you need any further help then PM me, rather than filling up this thread any further!
I hope this helps!

For example you would have trouble finding the difference between a half inch Whitworth and a half in UNC bolt!! I, on the other hand could tell you in less then 10 seconds.
Thanks for all your help!

Happy to help, but you ask a question I answered it.
As for showing off about Whit / UNC threads..... dont judge books by thier covers, in real life I am a Marine Engineer serving on some of the largest container ships ever built in a very senior position
Now please please take the time to learn about your phone, read all the fora here, and sort out what it is you want to do. And happy flashing once you pop you cannt stop
LOL. is all I can say. You haven't got a hope in hell.
You CAN'T flash the HTC to an M700 because it's locked to Orange. (Similar to a sim lock... Need that explained? Or can you search now??)
Unlock it and you're laughing. (As Mozzer says)
When I posted last, less than 5 posts below yours asking about backing up the rom was the post containing the last link Mozzer has given you, as I said it was even on the first page of threads, not far to look. A forum search for M700 would have shown it immediately.
Backing up the ROM is much harder than flashing it so would have been out of the question for you.
As for UNC and Whitworth. All I can say is congratulations. You, like pretty much all of us (if not all of us) here, also have knowledge in other fields.
I won't bother trying to make myself look big by quizzing you.
I have to admit I have very little knowledge of these devices and am forever endebted to the members of this forum for the information that is shared here and the work put in by many. The difference between you and me is I don't demand it on a plate.
I can use the search engine and look at Stickies. They're stickied for a reason! That reason is either to warn you of forum regulations OR because they are important.
It's not that hard to look in the Trinity subforum and at the first topic which is a link to the Trinity Wiki. (U know what a wiki is? Or is that not of interest as it's not UNC?)
In the Trinity Upgrading sub forum:
5 posts below this (probably seven when I submit this) is a thread entitled:
Moz's RUU_Trinity_Orange_UK_1.23.61.5_1.38.00.11_GSM_NoI PL_NoSPL.exe
Hmmmmmmmmmm. Wonder what that is..... I admit it's a tad convoluted. But you know you have a trinity which is badged by orange.
Third sticky down is entitled:
SSPL (or flashing any ROM 4 free)
Can't think what that's about. I want to flash my M700 with HTC branded.. Could this help? Naah I'll just save time and get everyone to do it for me.
In the Trinity Mobile 6 forum:
First 2 Stickies.. Wonder what they do. Won't bother looking.
Can anyone tell me how to wipe my arse. I've lost the ability to see and use my hands.
In my last post if you look I gave you some clues as to where you could find what you wanted. I'm on alot of forums and people who can't be arsed to have a look for themselves piss me off. If you'd looked and said I've found this that and the other but I'm not sure about it could someone help explain please I'd have done what I could to explain. But you couldn't even do that!
Many Thanks MOZZER!
At least there is someone here who has taken the time to be helpful.
So Deech... what is the difference i between half inch Whit and UNC?
Hi Mozzerr!
As you were kind enough to help with sensible answers could you please advise on the following:
I feel that the Orange ROM on the M700 seems a bit shaky and the GPS take forever to make a cold start... just a gut feeling it's probably the ROM hence the view to flash it.
In your opinion are there any major advantager to WM6 over the HTC release. I don't use 3G stuff or other advance comms mail etc. just the Phone, Active synce stuff, MP3s, Camera and TomTom via the GPS?
What would you do?
Ah now a sensible question.
WM6 is considerably faster than WM5 when it comes to loading menus and programs (and as far as I've found is completely stable).
There currently appear to be a few people who have a battery drain issue, which I for one have not had and should be ironed out soon.
If you use tomtom there is a cab somewhere (I forget where) in the Windows Mobile 6 forum called ATIfix.cab which fixes the freeze issue (if you get it).
If you're going to go to WM6, which I personally would recommend, you can always flash back to the HTC flash if you don't like it.
TBH other than speed for what you've listed as items you use it'd be more about the look and feel of it, so try both and go with what you're happier with.
I hope that helps.
Just remember you loose all the Orange Branding when you flash, so "IF" you find any of it remotely useful it will disappear, including settings for MMS etc.
The Tom Tom Freeze thing seems pretty common, mine idi it big time, but everything else is nicer, faster and smoother.
WM6 is..... nice and well worth it
There is a cab on the forums with all the MMS setting on this forum. I think I linked relinked it somewhere in the Mobile 6 forum, plus some people have extracted several of the orange programs and posted them.

"first things first" for newbies sticky, thread, etc.?

So my Tilt is practically brand new, & I have used it like three times so far. The only things I've done is order (most) of the accessories that I'll (at least initially) need for it. But as far as how it runs or operates, it's bone stock & brand new.
What should I do to it first?
What r.o.m. / firmware should I run?
What should I remove & what should I add?
Is there any sort of a "first things first" for newbies sticky, thread, etc.?
Would it help if I told you guys what I want it to do & how I want it run?
Or is this generic enough in nature so that's not necessary?
Thanks in advance for all your help, guys.
first thing would be the wiki..
always install Hard SPL
(It's like a condom for your phone!)
Bookmarked.

Why do so many first time posters ask what ROM to run? It strikes me as kinda like buying a new GM car, driving it out of the showroom, straight round to the service dept and asking them if the engine is good enough, or should you rip it out and chuck a Ford engine in.
Knowing what you need it to do/ run is helpful as I doubt my needs are the same as your, so any advice I, or anyone else gives, on mods, tweeks etc won't necesarily meet your needs. To give you an idea, my last phone was the HTC Universal, I changed from a WM5 to a WM6 ROM. I lost video call, and the device wasn't as stable, but I had to do that in order to get the device to do one particular thing (pair with my bluetooth carkit using RSAP). If it wasn't for this, I would have left the stock ROM in the thing.
You say you've used it 3 times so far. Personally, I would use it a while longer, see if there is anything you don't like then have a look around the forums to see if there is a fix. Whilst your doing that, have a look around the forums anyway to see if there is anything you like the look of. One of the mods I made to my Kaiser was installing the upgraded camera CAB. I hardly use the camera and this was a kind of 'just for the hell of it' mod. The rest of my Kaiser is stock, same ROM, same Radio as it was supplied with, its fine just the way it was designed. Give it a month of use, list what your not happy with, then see if there is something that will shorten that list.
I totally agree with Steve-C.
This is what you need to do, and in the order that you need to do it:
Play with your device to get to know it.
Read the manual
Play with your device to get to know it.
Read the wiki
Play with your device to get to know it.
Read the forums
Play with your device to get to know it.
After you have completed these steps, you will know the answer to everything you asked... and if not, then post specific questions.
