Just bought a KAIS120. Will start with the preinstalled HTC rom. Do I need to update the radio for it to work, or work better, on the AT&T network? I wasn't sure if the AT&T radio was only for the KAIS110/KAIS100. Is there anything else I will need to do to get it on the network?
Thanks
You should be OK -- I've been running one with the stock ROM on the AT&T network for over a year now, and it works just fine, even on 3G data.

Hello all:
I've recently upgraded from the "leaked" ATT WM6 ROM to a ROM built from the Aussie 3 WM6 ROM with the "leaked" ATT WM6 Extended ROM.
With this combination 2G data works great, however, I have found that 3G data doesn't work at all for me.
It looks like it is connected, and will even try to switch to HSDPA mode when attempting to access data but I can't move any data up or down.
Was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to check?
Thanks.
edit - 3G voice does work properly, so it isn't like I'm being denied access to the 3G network
I also switched from the Leaked ATT ROM to the Australia3 ROM, however I am not using any of the ATT Extended ROM stuff.
My 3G has worked fine
MS
???
I am having the same problem with my 3g data. my phone seems to connect but it will not open any sites. When I am on edge it works fine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this?
I have the same problem. My location is the NYC Metro area.

same issue.....in the metro area as well......i went back to the leaked ATT rom since then.....hangs every once in a while but its still better than having WinMo5 in my opinion....
changed to vodafone
I had the same problem on a business trip to NYC. The Aussie 3G rom lost internet. I switched to the vodafone and haven't had a problem in NYC or back in SF where I live.
Well I went back to the Voda version and everything works fine. Does any one have an idea why the Aussie rom 3G will not work in NYC?
I went to the Voda ROM too and now everything is working perfectly...
I have a question.If AT&T and T-Mobile both use 1900 for 3g then why can't we get 3g on att?
Tmo US & Att use diff bands for 3G access but same for 2G.You will need to buy a Rogers Dream to use 3G on Att. A Tmobile branded phone is unable to use 3G from another carrier.
att 3g
does it have to be a rogers or a basic unbranded will work
The rom and radio
How does changing the rom affect the radio?Does the rom determine the freq the cell accesses?
the rom effects nothing. the radio effects nothing. the hardware determines what frequencies can be used by the device.
the only way the rom effects anything is if the APNs arent set correctly, but thats a simple fix. however, you cant change the APNs or ANY software on the phone to allow a TMO G1 to use 3G on ATT. Cant happen. If you really want a G1 on ATT, buy a Rogers G1 off ebay.
Hello!
Just installed cyano 6 N1 on a nexus one that I got from Videotron here in Canada.
The thing is that now ive lost 3G network, with the radio firmware update FRF50-radio-4_06_00_12_7.zip.
And I got me there, I lost my damn nandroid backups, thus having fun trying to get that "stock" radio firmware back in.
Anyone can provide me with the stock OS + Radio that works with Videotron, I think they are on 1700mhz aws band.
There is no difference between the radio software on the 2 different models of the N1, it's the same for both.
Have you checked the APN settings to make sure you settings are still there, I've had to add mine manually when installing CM6.
that did it
Well you got it, there was no APN in there.
It work now, I found the apn info using google
HI, GUYS,
so I just got this unlocked HTC ONE from HTC shop
and I am currently using T-mobile, but I have issues with 3g
i used to have HTC desire z and 3g works fine,
and I went to shop, change my sim card to micro sim card so that i can use it in HTC ONE
BUT, everything works perfect excepted 3g
mobile network only can find T-mobile 2g network and at&t 2g/3g/4g network when i search the network operators
and i am not going to do roaming.
I tried to change VPN but it doesn't work
I also tried tweakker, but for some reason, it kept saying my wifi didn't connect to internet but it did connect to internet..
so could somebody help me
i didn't root my phone yet, and the rom is official rom
Software number 1.29.1540.16
thanks
You're not going to like this answer, but the unlocked HTC one lacks the 1700 band needed for T-Mobile 3G. The good news is T-Mobile is in the process of reforming their network so your phone should get 3G by quarter 3 2013. Until then you could try an AT&T mvno or return it and buy one from T-Mobile that has the required bands.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
I rooted my Sprint HTC One to be used on Metro PCS but I cannot keep a GSM signal for my life on this phone. Once the signal bar drops down to 1 bar then the entire data and voice is disconnected and then I have to go back into my settings and register on the Metro PCS/T-mobile network. Not to mention the fact that Metro PCS/T-mobile does not even give the APN settings to make sure that you send receive MMS but thank god for the XDA-Developers or else I would be SOL. I was previously using the sprint radio 1.00.20.0315 and it was spotty so I flashed T-Mobile radio T-Mobile_US_4A.17.250.20_10.4 that I took from the T-mobile HTC one on here and it was working great for about 3 hours and it began disconnecting again. I do not have the option to roam at all. I did the S-OFF from Revone, I have done the SUPERCID so I can use any carriers RUU’s. I have the SIM Unlock from VIPERBOY. I was on WCDMA preferred but with the T-mobile radio I was able to use GSM/WCDMA/LTE (auto). Can anyone help me keep with either a radio, ruu, or just some insight as to a way to make sure my hard work did not go to waste.
I thought this was a problem with my phone but it is happening to my wife’s Sprint HTC ONE rooted, S-OFF, SIM Unlock as well. I was going to use the cdmadev tool and flash the phone to metro but that would be a waste for me if I wanted to go back to Sprint.
