Hi all, I've created HTC Blackstone CustomRUU patched to perform a 'task 32' instead of a 'task 28' after flashing an .nbh, so it will not format your device if you just flash a radio or a splash screen.
How to: Drop the .nbh file of your choice in the same folder as CustomRUU and start flashing.
MOD EDIT DaveShaw : Everyone NOTE:
AVG and other anitvirus's could detect a virus in CustomRUU.exe, it's false error. Disable your antivirus while downloading and flashing or download BlackstoneRUUWrapper made by DaveShaw.
END MOD EDIT
Have fun.

uh, no.
Well I run Windows in Virtualbox, so I thought I would try it. It seems ok, the file, once executed generates : EnterBootloader.exe ModelID.fig ROMUpdateUtility.cfg RUUResource.dll ErrorBattery.fig rapitool.exe ROMUpdateUtility.exe ErrorUSB.fig README.doc RUUGetInfo.exe
I also scanned the files with Avast and it didn't report any virus.
Of course this may just mean Avast is wrong, so you can try at your own risk.

The Custom RUU for the Touch Pro also gave this false positive. A replacement was eventually released (although the original one still worked)
Suspicious
No virus apparent but my tools detected a trojan horse:
TrojanDropper.Delf.694
False positive? real? Take care anyway.
lol udk is a mega massive member on these boards check polaris forum.
also, ANYTHING can be marked as a virus, a self extracting rar can be marked by anyone as suspicious, and added to the AVG database list. you can type a single line in mIRC and your Norton will go nuts!

i have a HTC Trinity preproduction unit,it is SuperCID,is there someone tell me how to backup it's ROM.
Go into bootloader and look for the available commands by comparing with bootloaders from previous devices... because I guess you don't have any shipped rom to extract the SPL and see the strings yet.
If it is similar to the Hermes, the bootloader doesn't have any commands to backup to SD, HTC has removed them all. Common commands to do this in other HTC devices are 'd2s', 's2d', 'r2sd'.
Hope that helps and let us know your findings
HTC Trinity's ROM is a test ROM
bootloader version:
TRIN100

TRIN100 MFG

ok, same as in the Hermes.... preproduction bootloaders come with 'wdata' command. You can use an old RUU with this, and probably updates are distributed in NBF. I'm sure they will change to NBH (digitally signed) in production devices, as they did with the Hermes as well.
The password algo to unlock the command is here:

I logged in, but it's still showing nothing for downloads. It says I have to pick my phone first from the list, but there is no list to pick from.
Edit-Since the Tilt is an AT&T branded devices, there is no way to register it on HTC's Club. Also, whenever I click on either of your links, it redirects me to http://www.htc.com/member/login.aspx , I think they've changed the download links again. If you go to the download section for the Tilt, it still has the ROM from Feb up-

Its just a test rom with manila (black version) and drivers from HTC Quartz.
otherwise its built on same base as 3.01 wwe only
I buildt this just to see for myself, and I actually like this manila better then blackstone one. (no big changes) sooo, I just decided to share the fun
no need to post bugreports or issues, cause I will not care and totally ignore them.
No need to ask whats in the rom, cause if you can read and think you would have noticed that I just wrote its the same base as 3.01
THERE IS ABSOLUTLY NO SUPPORT ON THIS RELEASE
DOWNLOAD
Rapidshare mirror?^^
I will take a look at it. For now theres anyway no rom released that pleases me.

Hello my dear fellow cooks. Everything to start is in place. To make it easy to start I added 3 pictorials to install the kitchen, extract and build your first rom and a tutorial on how to add an OEM package. Links to all necessary reading are in post #3. After scrolling through the thread I still couldn't find answers to my questions. So here they are:
-From which folder do I need to delete the program folders that needed to be deleted? (SYS, OEM, or TEMP) Since some of them have duplicates.
-How about the registry do I need to edit anything after all or deleting the folders only would do the trick?
-What's the difference between using the buildos.exe and the buildos+package_tools-2.7 and what is the proper use for either of them?
-in some posts it mentioned that you can add a program by placing it's package to the "OEM or SYS" folder What's the difference if I put the packages in OEM folder rather than SYS folder? do i need to do any registry changes? If so then where?
-Do I need to use the buildos+package_tools-2.7 after all and along with placing the packages in the OEM or SYS folder?
Cleaning up the registry is quiete easy, too. Use an editor with a "search in files" functionality and use it in order to find the files containing your registry keys/values.

-Can you name me a good editor to use?
-What would be the best way to change in manila's, using the packages method or replace them directly from their location in the kitchen?
-The final and most delicate question is how can I integrate the registration info in a shareware program package?

The registry entries are stored in the rgu file, which can be found within the folder. So by deleting the folder you also delete the registry entries.

I think it depends on the software you are talking about. You have to find out where it stores the appropriate information and then have to include it. Figuring out where it stores the information could be time intensive. Dump the registry before the registration, dump it aftwards, and then compare it using WinDiff (for instance). Its included in the kitchen. Some software may also use the filesystem, so you have to modify and/or copy some files.
Ok I changed this to have a few of my first apps in it including some I thought was not worth putting in at first like a flashlight app makes you screen bright white so that you can use your phone as a mini flash lite in dark rooms, and you double click teh screen to exit right the app cause it runs in fullscreen, right now now it doesn't change your backlight level, but it still helps. also there is a number selector, you can decide a minamum number and a max number and it will pick a random number in beetweens thse when you click the button on the window, and also a test to see how fast you can tap the screen lol
Even though I had absolutely no problems and dont think it is even possible for something like this to do any damage to a phone I am not responsible for anything I just made this app because I like xda and want to help as much as I can.
btw I really would appreciate feedback
I will try to post more pics later for the new programs I forgot to take them
OH and almost forgot they will all be in program files not the start menu
