Hi
I just wounder if there is a way to make a quick connction to a pre-defined unit via bluetooth?
When in my car I connect the phone to the bluetooth car headset and going through so many menus isn't very optimized =)
So a quick connection icon in the programs tab or something would be very usefull.
//Kensy
ae button plus, then assign a long volume button press.
look for fabliv action screen and don't forget to add the fix file that'll take care not only to make yr BT on but also discoverable. many BT on/off progs bring you back the BT but are not making yr device discoverable.
so, you'll get not onlt BT on/off but also wifi and a one push button for e-mail, sms, mms, notes, task, etc..superb graphic and is even taking care of replaicing the left soft button.
sorry for the little info, if i'll find the file/link i'll let you know. meanwhile try search.
found it here
don't forget the fix for discoverable (first post)

I've had my Tilt for a couple of weeks and like it a lot. One thing I haven't figured out yet is the fastest way to initiate a voice dialed call. Other phones I have used let you push an external button to kick it into voice mode, but I'm hunting for the combination that works for the Tilt. Headset controls (Bluetooth and USB) do it just fine, but most of the time I've just got the phone.
There are several threads in this forum that address the ability to reassign buttons to different applications. A search will yield you solutions to your quest.
Hmmm, I guess that means I'm not stupidly overlooking the right button. I did see talk about reassigning the PTT button, but I was hoping to avoid registry edits... Thanks.
Been trying to solve this problem for a while, noone seems to have the answer.
i have recently installed MS voice commander (wonderfull software btw), but i find it useless since i cant use it when i most need it and that's when the phone is in the pocket and i have handsfree plugged in (the cable).
the button can do only 3 things by default. pick/hang up calls and redial last number.
is there any way to map a program to it? so when i either press and hold or better yet, press it once i get voice commander running?
I use Bluetooth and I hold the button down and MS command comes up.
What brand of headset are you using?
i use the standard hands-free that comes with the phone. I've tried a number of solutions for Bluetooth devices but none of them worked.
this headset connects through the usb port at the bottom of the device. cant find any way to even detect that button from inside the device.
what you have on your BT looks like exactly what i'm after. with voice commander it's possible to use most functions of the phone without touching it, but it's pointless if you need to get it out to start VC in the first place.
I may not be of any help here as I have not used Voice Commander but..
If you go to 'Settings' 'Voice Speed Dial' you will see a tab at the bottom for Application.
I just use this as it responds to a single press from any headset.
Soz if I'm intruding.
not quite what i need. i want to call voice commander directly with the button.
it would've been easier if i could already run voicedialer or any other program from the headset. but nothing works.
Hello I wanted to know if there was a way I can remap the option to transfer my call to one of the buttons on the kaiser. I always have to do it manually during my phone call by clicking menu then "turn hands free on" on my phone while driving or by pushing a button on my car then speaking "transfer." I don't have a navigation screen on my 05 acura tl, so i don't have that easy push button on my car to transfer my call between my phone and car like the new Lexus's. I just want to be able to push ONE button on my Kaiser to transfer the calls between my phone and by car without having to do all these steps while driving. Thanks in advance!
i got you.... PhoneAlarm has a setting on it for profiles, one of the profiles being "Car"
set "Car" to enable Bluetooth AND activate headset - it can be done because that's what i do in my 04 Acura RSX (Honda Power! haha)
good luck and enjoy the one touch setting!
I've got a new head unit in my car and it works with my phone to play mp3s off the Micro SD card via Bluetooth.
This is great, but setting it up each time is a real pain.
I'd very much like to create some kind of short cut to do the following......
open settings....open connections tab....open bluetooth......
....hold down on XPLOD (in devices) ....and click "set as wireless stereo"
I would also like one to do the following if possible:
open settings....open connections tab....open bluetooth......
....hold down on XPLOD (in devices) ....and click "set as Hands-free"
I've got AEB-Plus installed and I'm using Manilla 2D, I would like to bind a button to both of these actions ising AEB and probably also add them to the programs tab on Manila 2D
This would be SO much better than having to do these things the long way round every time I get in the car Even just eing able to bing a button to open the bluetooth devices page with one click would be a massive help.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks all,
DJ

You shouldn't need anything for the hands-free thing, it automatically connects whenever you make/receive a call anyway.
That's perfect! Thank you very much
Now all I have to do it get the voice dialing feature to work with the head unit :/
One annoyance I've found with my Fuze's call status screen is I would have to go to the menu to turn hands-free on/off.
The fuze's got a long menu thanks to AT&T's PTT craps, so i would have to click menu -> scroll up -> click hands-free to transfer call between handset and my headset.
My wife's got an iphone and the Speaker Phone icon turns into a select source (forgot the exact name and can't find screenshot online) button when bluetooth is detected, clicking the button brings up a list to select "Speaker", "Phone" or "Bluetooth" which easily transfer call to any of the 3 places.
Anybody know similar solutions for WM6 or anything at all that would transfer call to/from bluetooth with button clicks?
Thanks in advance

Click to collapse
Search for the diamond dialer skin, install it and it will do what you are wishing.
Thanks for the reply
I've found these skins and will try it out.

But I don't find mention of the "Hands-Free" button?
Try this .cab I think its more of what your looking for.
It's very pretty skin but it's just a skin.
To move the call to/from bluetooth headset i still need to click menu, find "Turn hands-free on/off" and click on it.
On the iphone, this is readily available via 2 button clicks.
So if you're headset is connected (via bluetooth) it doesn't automatically answer with the headset? I've only had my fuze for 2 days so I'm still getting the hang of it. But I do have a bluetooth hands-free stereo in my car, and if I get a call it picks up automatically with the car's hands-free. But I guess it would be nice to be able to quickly switch back to the handset during certain calls so that passengers don't have to hear the conversation.
There is nothing I've seen that will give you the connection options on a big button on the screen while in a call, only speaker phone. You already know that you can route it back to the phone with the menu option, but you can also route it back to the headset just by touching the answer button on said headset. I realize that won't help you if you want to go from headset to speakerphone, but if you hold the answer button on the phone with an incoming call, it should put you straight to speakerphone even if there is a headset attached.
But again, there is no app I've seen that gives you a button to switch the call to any source you choose.
Thanks, I think this is the answer I need - using the right hardware buttons the right way at the right time.
It's not as convenient as having one button to switch calls to different places imho but I guess it doesn't bother many people since I don't find this feature request anywhere.
