hey guys, im using tmobile (usa) with the 5.99 proxy internet, and the htc weather won't download. has anybody figured out a way to get it to work? if not what other weather apps work? my problem is that I don't have room on my today screen between the homescreen and spb diary, so I like how this weather program is integrated into the homescreen, and doesn't take up valuable room! thanks

update: i downloaded spb weather, and that doesnt work through proxy either...

This isn't meant to come across as one of those "Search" threads...
But I seem to recall something either in the Development and Hacking or Kaiser sections about a little proggy that can help with those issues!! So it might be worth searching!

Hi to everyone....i've a very big problem with htc diamond manila meteo........the problem is that it can't download the forecasts.....both with GPRS or HSPDA and via ActiveSync connection.........I have to wait a lot of time and then the screen says:"A connetcion error occurred while downloading meteo information. Retry????""

Actually i too face the same problem i am not sure wht it is but i am able to browse the internet and all but it sumtimes jus download the latest forecasts... anyone managed to solve the problem....

have the same problem behind proxy, so maybe your ISP is blocking some ports that weather tab is using?

Problem with the weather panel
Hi there everyone,
I have a HTC touch diamond P3700 and I'm using the original weather panel from the HTC. lately I have noticed that although I get an update on my weather regularly, but the icon does not match the reality.
for example, at 9:00 pm it still shows Sunny and at a rainy day it shows sunny but partly cloudy (and it was pouring outside).
What should I do to take care of this problem?

I am not sure if this could help:
I installed Weather Database Editor and after adding a few cities I unistalled it. It has to remain installed otherwise weather is not updated.

I am having the same problem, and have tried this fix, but it didnt work. Does anybody have any other suggestions.
I am also having this problem, and it says "There was a connection error while attempting to download weather data."... It cannot connect under, activesync, wifi, or HSDPA.
Maybe the accuweather channel is not working?
It looks like a server issue... tons of reports are coming in from Diamond and Pro owners
i have this problem too - I am in Greece.
Perhaps we should wait a few hours... it may be the channel's problem

At least I was not the only one...that makes me feel little better
Same problem in Australia.
I wish the weather panel would allow us to use different sites/servers. Accuweather is catastrophicly inaccurate for Australia (and I'd imagine for most places outside the US).

I'm on vodafone UK - same issue. As Draiko says, it must be server-side to give everyone, everywhere the same issue. Annoying, yes, but stuff happens!

So, is the server down? I could update weather 24 hours ago (my weather info is 24 hours ago) but can't do it now (with wif/HSDPA, etc). The internet connection is good as I can view youtube without problem.
Been having the same problem recently.. I was able to download the weather fine last week..
Does everyone have issue on other internet problem like Internet Explorer and Windows Live Messenger?

I just installed Windows Live on my Tilt and when I try to sign up it freeze's? I have tried MULTIPLE time's with the same result each time. I have no idea why this is happenning, I wish I could tell you what ROM I am using but I have no idea how to find that out. I am only able to give this info.

I downloaded Beejive onto my Touch Pro. It installed and it connects properly, but when I try to type in the IM space, it won't let me. Does/did anyone else have this problem? Is there any way to fix it?

UPDATE: Never mind, if anyone else has this problem (which I doubt, lol), be sure you download the WM6.1 version for PPC. I had the WM6.0 one downloaded (worked on my old T-Mobile Wing), so I guess there is no backwards-compatability.
