Weird question about advanced configuration (A.C.).
In A.C. you can change the MS and Carrier timeout on startup.
now the 30k are actually ms, which means for 30 seconds it's doing this.
Now my question is, can I put these down to Zero without any ill effect? I know the OS needs to startup, soooo what times do you guys change it too, because 1 min startup time is long isn't it.
FYi I changed mine to an overall 40 sec time to startup. (20/20).
Still no hits? (Is this an idiotic question?)
I'll just try again because I can't get any results searching google.
If a mod can merge this with the first post feel free too.

In WM5 POutlook you could make it check for new email every x number of minutes. Now in the "upgraded" POutlook you can only have it check from a set number of options, every 15 minutes, half hour, hour, etc. I realize that those options are fine for most, but what if you want to have it check every 10 minutes or every 5? Anybody know of a way to change that? I couldn't find a registry setting so it must be part of the program itself which would be rather difficult to modify I suppose.
Same here, and can't find any registry entry to change these values.
Anybody got a clue?
bump: I don't seem to have the option to check every x minutes

Youtube has the handy lil timer on the bottom to keep track.
2 seconds for the tilt.
Thats almost 1000 more than you said.
That video is useless. Today screen speed redraw depends mainly on which plugins you use. And those screens are NOT the same. Put them into Programs menu or Settings screen and do it again.
// edit: watched the video again, and the first phone is actually slower, it redraws some parts about 2 seconds after initial "fast" swap. As I said, that is completely useless video for any comparisons.

The bold is Radek Hulán.
Now I know people are saying their Kaiser does not witch from landscape to portrait very quickly when openeing/closing the keyboard, but what Radek is saying is right. It depends on what your Kaiser is having to redraw.
What I'm trying to say is (i believe) the reason behind the Kaiser's delay in switching is because of the plugin's it uses on the today screen (i.e. there's alot to redraw.)
If everybody would like to get involved, why not try opening/closing on your Today screen. See how long it takes. A small delay? Possibly 2-3 seconds?
Now, open say... Notes (something plain, not such a graphical interface). Open/close your screen again. Delay? 1 Second on mine, MAX.
So can it be proved, at least this part of the Kaiser, is actually worse than it's predecessor? The video on Youtube shows completely different today plugins. It would be good to see if we can match those today plugins on Both devices so they are identical, then try again.
I realise this is a MASSIVE post, and sorry if you think what I'm saying is a massive load of BS (which it probably is ).
Hey, this is my first post but i've been browsing these forums ever since i got my diamond and they've been a great help. I've been trying to learn some c# so i can give back a little to this forum, I've been able to make some simple app's but recently i've been trying to use koush's sensor sdk, and i tired using a ticker to update a label with the x y and z values from the gsensor every 1 milli sec, it shows the values but there only updated like every 2-3 seconds. Is this normal or am i doing something wrong?
thanks koush and all other developers for all your hard work!
Edit: Also i realized if i use any other gsensor app at the same time like tweeter, they also slow down and update the values at the same speed.
Updating every millisecond is a bit of overkill, when you consider it will take several milliseconds for your code to change the label text, and several more for the label to paint itself. By the time it starts to paint, the label has gotten 10 more Invalidate messages, so it's basically waiting for things to settle down before painting (not really, but that's what it will look like to you).
Try setting the timer to fire every 100 milliseconds ... that should give you better results. After playing with that, you could try tweaking it down some to see how quick of a response you can get, but I would guess the message pump will start backing up again around 25 milliseconds.

You're very welcome!
Hello!
I'm new for Kaiser and so - two questions:
1. Is it possible to keep ON the backlight of the hard-keyboard as long as it is opened? (Not fixed time of backlight)
2. Is it possible to see the day of the week on the standart HTC-Home plugin?
Maybe some registry tweaks?
Thank you!

A Lot people on here will tell you to give a forum a good search because all the answers you are looking for have been answered a lot of times before
i will give you a fix for the first one
HKCU\Control Panel\Back light\QKeyLedTimeout Enter the time you want the keyboard to stay on in seconds. For example 360 = 6 minutes. Default is 10.
"Enter the time you want the keyboard to stay on in seconds."
I know that! But I don't want the keyboard to stay ON in seconds! I want it stay ON ALL The Time I use it!!! And I don't know how much time it will take me to type a letter for example. But if there is not a darkness around me, the backlight of keyboard turns OFF after some time (fixed time) - how to prevent that???
In other words - how to keep backlight of keyboard during ALL THE TIME I use it, no matter there is a day-light around me or not!
Hmm! There is the light-sensor on the left side of keyboard!!!! That is the reason!!
Is it possible to turn that sensor OFF without using the black plaster? Maybe some registry tweak?
O hai fellow tweakers!
I have problems that keep meddling with my daily life, which it does really troublesome.
1) My clock always get delay everything hour. Like, for a day it get delays up to 30 minutes.
2) How to change the location of the photos preview at the photo section on WinMo 6.5 stock interface?
Thanks much for your people's help. ; )
1) Check the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=644783
If it doesn't solve your problem, try disabling "Automatic change time zone and clock" in Start > Settings > Phone
2) I don't understand what you mean, are you talking about M2D? Or the default WM Pictures & Videos program??
Which ROM are you using?
I have check that thread. That's is not my problems. Mine is I get delayed like 1/2 minutes each hour pass. Result in one day, I get delayed almost 30 minutes. If I leave it on, it will delayed more and more.
Default one. I use Evo Ultimate ß.
Another question I have in mind is, how can I change the no format in the phone when dialling. Like (XXX) XXX XXXX to XX XXXX XXXX.
Thanks.
hmmm, the time problem sounds weird to me. Did it happen in other ROMs? I use Evo Ultimate Beta, but I didn't notice any time delay issues.
Try enabling the "Automatic change time zone and clock" to let your device synchronize the time by itself.
If it doesn't work try other ROMs, or try a hard-reset. Maybe there's a software conflict somewhere. So a hard-reset will rule out software issues.
If the problem persists even on the stock ROM, then it could be a hardware glitch. So take it to a service center for inspection, or maybe just email the HTC customer support.
For your other questions I have no idea how to change the pictures preview folder because I don't use the stock interface, I'm using SPB Mobile Shell.
And I don't know how to change the number format too.
Sorry I couldn't help you with that.
Oh, okay. Thanks a lot. But where's the option to automatically setting my time at date? : S
It's here (the opposite of my suggestion in my first reply):
Start > Settings > Personal > Phone > "Time Zones" tab.
Check the option "Automatic change time zone and clock".
This way, your device will get the current time zone and clock from the mobile network, which should be always calibrated and accurate.
If it still doesn't work, I think you're left with the hard-reset option, or switching to another ROM.
Best of luck.
