Hi,
Is there a way or a program to have timed profile? Meaning; profile changes to vibrate, silent or normal on times specifed!
For instance, I put my phone on silent at 11 evening and would be nice to have a program or something timed to switch to normal again at 7 in the morning
Is there anything like that?
spb phone suite should do the trick
Funny thing is that I have just thought about re-installing this application onto my Diamond for the same reason. It allows a very granular control over automatic profile, with the ability to link diary entries, hardware conditions, connectivity conditions & also time of day to ensure the best profile for every moment (dam, i sound like a marketing blurb)...........
Anyone else installed this on a Diamond, I can't see any reason it wouldn't work ok?
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/phonesuite/?en
PS - It's not a free application, but at 19.95 it's not too bad.
You could just set an appointment at 11 pm - 7 am and repeat daily in outlook and set the status to busy. Your diamond should then auto go into silent, although I haven't checked, it does work on other win mobs.
yes but how about if I need it to be set to vibrate and not silent??
good question, on my old device i could edit the profiles. no idea how to do that on diamond.
Try WirelessTime. It's free and can also control your Bluetooth and Wireless connection. You can use English or French and per day and/or all.

Another vote here for SPB Phone Suite.
I'm using it on my Diamond and the timed profiles are effortless. Profiles can also be set to control bluetooth, wifi and phone on/off, along with call filtering and repeating notifications for texts, emails & missed calls.

From TF3D Home|Settings|Sound| check "Automatic Set to vibrate during appointments"
try phonealarm ?
Another way is to use something like PhoneAlarm, you can have "profiles" set up so when you activate say "home" profile with either time/location/manual it can switch on/off/change any sounds/alerts/wifi/bt etc ans also "run" any program as well.
I personally use this as my home screen and use both timed profiles and outlook items/tasks/appointments to switch. see sreenshot
Can run any program ie switch to car, turn on bluetooth, run tomtom etc.
works for me

Yeah, Phone Alarm is good.
Using Phone alarm and other software, that mean you need to give up TF3D. But I still like the TF3D interface.
Like TF3D, but hate it because not easy to customize
Tha latest version of Phone Alarm allows you to switch between manila and your default today.
looks promising
I downloaded trail version of spb phone suite, it looks promising where you can specify from what time to what time you want to switch to another profile! Looks nice but I have to see if it works actually and post back again
Also available is sbsh phoneweaver
http://www.sbsh.net/products/windows_mobile_pocket_pc/phoneweaver
or try mortscript, i think someone already did it
Phoneweaver user
Phoneweaver does the trick for me, I have set the Day profile from 7am till 10pm then it automatically switches to Night - set only to vibrate, until 7am the next day. You can have a lot more in depth settings if you want, but that is enough for my needs. You can also have a Car profile or any other profile you want to create. It switches Data connections on and off and also Push email.
Phoneweaver is good
I have downloaded both SPB Phone Suite and Phoneweaver trial version. First I started with SPB Phone Suite which also has Time based profiles but didn't work actually. I specified a time for a profile but was never activated on that time.
The Suite has some other nice features such as adding photos to call history and reminder interval based on sms and missed calls. It could be good peice of program is the timed profile feature work.
Then I downloaded Phoneweaver and the timed profile works just fine so i will keep that.
Thanks for the help

Hi, i would like to share a little app i made. I use my QTEK for work. I like having ringtones but i was tired to have to switch off volume every time i start a meeting. I also want to be able to reply missed calls with SMS only to some people. And i also want to made my own app :
Features:
- App detect if are "busy" or "free" based on the appointments schedule.
- App can silent or set to vibrate the phone when start a meeting and restore sound when meeting ends.
- App can reply missed calls (on "busy" mode) with custom SMS and it has nice options to configure who will receibe the SMS....
Known Bugs:
1- App will start on every reboot (that´s ok), and show the main screen (just put it on background).
2- App will change ringer mode (silence, vibrate, ringtone on) but will not update default upper right volume icon.
Hope someone find this app usefull too.....Any comments will be appreciate...
I only tested it on WM6. I think it should works fine on WM5, can any one try it there?
You will need NETCF 2 before installing my app (check it, may be you already have it):
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6b-356b-4a2c-857c-e62f50ae9a55&DisplayLang=es
English: http://rapidshare.com/files/25370543/JBAssistant_0.5_-_EN.CAB
Español: http://rapidshare.com/files/25370561/JBAssistant_0.5_-_ES.CAB
Version 0.5:
- App will now apply settings also to sms and voicemail.
- App saves settings when enters busy mode, and restore them when going to free mode.
If u have for example this setup:
PDA Settings:
- Phone Ring
- Text Message Vibrate
JBAssistant Settings:
- Silence Phone checked
Behaviour will be:
On Busy Mode:
- Incoming Phone calls and Text Messages will not ring or vibrate.
On Free Mode:
- Incoming calls will ring and text messages will vibrate.
- On free mode, "ringer:" will be "PDA Settings" to better comunicate current setttings for text, phone and voicemail.
- When exit the application on "busy mode" phone, voice and text sound settings will be restore to PDA settings saved before entering "busy mode".
- Note: Application saves your current settings before entering busy mode and restore them when entering free mode. Because of that, you can freely change settings when application is in free mode, but if you do it when application is on busy mode, settings will be reverted to the original values (those before entering busy mode) when entering free mode. World can't be perfect and you are busy, don't loose time playing with phone settings ....
Version 0.4:
- fixed a bug introduced in verison 0.3 when restoring sound after a meeting ends.
Version 0.3:
- Added option to ignore meetings with "free" status
- Icon on trybar when app is running.
- New (and nicer) application icon.

Sounds good, any chance your going to make it so that when your device boots up the default screen doesn't appear? I know it's not a big deal, but it annoys the hell out of me.
Anyways thanks!

if u have any suggestion for new features just post it pls...
thanks!
Will do since I'm really interested in this, but at the moment my brain is so tired I'm surprised I actually know how to spell
Version 0.3
Updated first post with version 0.3. Sorry i can't (yet) found the way to hide the main screen at startup (yes..i also think it was an easy task ..not on CF2

thanks!

I'm embarrased to say I can't get it to install, I have .NET and everything, but as soon as I click on the cab file it just says that installation was unsuccesful. Well I'll double check it might just be me acting like an idiot
Ok... I have an AT&T tilt that I flashed with the default HTC rom. I'm using the HTC home screen and need to know what a button does.
What exactly does the Sound: Automatic button do?

basically automatic is with your calender.
I believe if you create a schedule and set it to busy / out of office or something of that sort, it will automatically switch the phone to vibrate/ silent. and once th e session is over, it will switch it back to the original status
Hmmm... ok. Thanks. I was actually hoping that it would automatically silence alarms at night or something.
Since this isn't what it does, can anyone tell me if there is some software that I can set the alarms off at night with? I hate going through menuhell to change the settings every night.
Well, you can always make an appointment with bed
Menu hell?
Automatic doesn't appear to work for me which is too bad since SPB Phone had this feature that I thought was fantastic.
Don't know of a program to do what you want but two buttons to the left is the silence button. Menu hell? Just a thought...

You could try phoneAlarm (http://www.pocketmax.net/phoneAlarm.html) it can do a lot of things!
this feature is kinda gay...
This feature is def kinda gay. I was hoping that i could switch from my custom ringtones with this to my work ringtone, that overrides everything. This would leave for a set of default sounds, sliding/ringtone for business, and custom for play.... lame..

I have personally observed this feature causing my phone to engage in homosexual activities with other HTC devices.
this feature does seem useful in theory but in practical instances, it is a bit risky to use in my opinion.
I'm going to set my work schedule in my calender just for this. Thanks for the clarification. My Kaiser is bi methinks.
Sorry to bump a old thread..figure better than starting a new one.
This is kind of related to the HTC home..
I noticed my "tapping sound" has been disabled ever since installing the HTC home cab. I've tried to re-enable the tap sound via the settings..it shows enabled but still no sound? Is this normal...or did I do something wrong?
And is the alarm function always this slow? It seems to take forever to repeat...actually sounds kind of weak? I've used different phones but this HTC seems to be pretty retarded when it comes to the basic functions.
Thanks.
Hi,
is there a way to switch profiles on the Kaiser automated? I want the vibrate profile at work and automatically the standard profile in my free time.
I've tried "switch profile 1.31" but this seems to be only for smartphones. Another tool I've found called "profileswitcher", but this don't work with (my) Kaiser. I can't make profiles in the programm.
Thanks for helping.
Sebastian
There a lot of app for that:
You can google for:
Pocket Zen Phone (that I use)
SBSH Profile weaver
SPB Phone Suite
Phone Alarm
.....
Enjoy

If you are interested in just switching on\off vibrate mode.. Use my tool rk-Sleep(Check my signature for the link) automatically based on your location(Cell Id)
CommMgrPro allows to automatically change the current profile based on time, week-day and location so you can add cells to profiles. And you can execute different actions when you enter or exit a profile...and the number of available actions are much higher than any other program. change 3g/2g, wifi, speaker, ring tone, send emails, sms, today theme, bluetooth, disable/enable connections, cpu usage and much more

Works great.
Phone Alarm Just updated there version to fix some issues with the Kaiser... Only issues is you need to enable to "Trindity" Wlan fix if you use WLAN icons on your skins..
SBSH PhoneWeaver here.
Thanks for the replys - I've testing "Profiles for Windows Mobile v. 2.2.0.672" - seems to work fine for me.

I really wish someone would decompile the HTC Home plugin to find out how to set the behaviors on their profile manager. I love the idea, I just want the Automatic profile to turn off the ringer and to only set to silent during appointments that are marked as busy. I don't want to pay $20 for something like that.

Freeware for timed profiles?
Is there good freeware for timed profiles? Most of the above are paid programs.
Hi Guys,
Anyone know if the snooze menu can be modified, i would like to have just one sooze time so the the soft key works as the snooze rather than bring up a menu of times, sometimes select the wrong snooze setting with my fat fingers
Thanks
Matt
Would be such a good idea. Handling menu's while half asleep is very difficult
Tell me about it, its all i can do to find the phone, let alone deal with a menu, could this be one for the reg edit hackers????
What about........
I happened to spot a post on another site about a little freeware alarm program called SpoonAlarm that allows you to do lots of things with alarms, including setting the number of snoozes....and apparently, it's all with a finger-friendly interface I've not tried it myself, but I plan to as the WM6 built in alarm stuff is ****e so anything's gotta be an improvement, right?
Anyway, you can download SpoonAlarm from this page - I'm not gonna post it here without getting the author's permission first.
Enjoy!
Mark.

From the screen grabs I can't see an improved "Snooze" button. Essentially what is needed: when the alarm goes off the entire screen should turn into a snooze button, and the soft keys should allow you to turn it off. That way you can't miss it when your dozing.
I use SPB Time for my alarms. When your alarm goes you get 2 big buttons in your screen. One is snooze for 5 minutes(Green button) the other one is disable alarm (red button).

I've tried all the alarm apps this week, ptravelalarm, spb time, & spoonalarm.
ptravelalarm works great but it's just so damn ugly. If they could add skins I would go back to it.
spoonalarm is free but it doesn't allow for multi day repeat alarms. In other words, you have to set an alarm for each day of the week, instaed of just saying include all work days.
spb time so far is the best I've used and still have it loaded on my Tilt now. It does cost a couple of bucks but works better then the OS alarm and you can set SPB TIme to play MP3s as well.
SpoonAlarm
Thank you for trying the SpoonAlarm.
In couple of days I will be releasing a newer version of the tool and it will also include the following:
- Countdown clock
- Recuring alarms (upon configuration of course)
If you have any additional suggestions I would be happy to hear!

Everytime I go to the site or try to download I get this:
"Webhost4life Application Firewall Alert
Your request triggered an alert! If you feel that you have received this page in error, please contact the administrator of this web site."
How do you contact the administrator of the site if you cant access it?
Can I made with "The SpoonAlarm" more as one alarmtime? Or I can only made one alarmtime?
How does one completely remove SpoonAlarm?
I tried it out. Then went to remove programs and removed it, but before removing it I had my alarm that was set to snooze 3 times and... the alarm still went off and launched WMplayer but the dialog box said it couldn't find the program. Is there some file that still lurks somewhere? Even after a soft reset it still happened.

How Tasker Can Make You More Productive
Have you taken a look at Tasker and thought "Eh this isn't for me.." Well if so then that would make you a liar. Tasker is for anyone and everyone that wants to improve the way that they use their Android device. First thing you should know is that most of those mods you flash to get special features like Tap2Wake, Active Display, Silent mode when faced down and others are all possible with Tasker. You don't even need to root your device! So right there you're saving time and happiness. Let's take a look at all of the best ways that Tasker can make you more productive like a business man with a briefcase.
Automate SMS
Everyday I have to go pickup my stupid idiot brother from work. Once I'm there I have to fumble around with my phone as I spill hot coffee all over myself so I can text him that I've arrived. Well no more! I can automate an outgoing sms based on my location. So this idea is simple. I set a new profile based on location. I chose the GPS location of where my brother works. The action I attach to that location will be sending an sms to my brothers phone number that says "Here." Now the text will be sent automatically as soon as I pull into the parking lot.

}
The same idea can be applied to locations on the road. So if I'm in route to my meet my brother at his work, I can program a text to be sent that says "I'll be there in 15 minutes" once I reach a specific location.
You can also schedule texts to be sent out based on date and time. Never forget about Mothers Day again and just tell your phone to text your Mom "Happy Mothers Day! I'll never forget about you!" on whatever day Mothers Day is on. Who knows.
Keep Track Of Time
Here's a pretty nifty one that some people are using. You can keep better track of time as it passes, by setting your phone to vibrate every 30 minutes.
Of course you can use this in anyway that you please. Maybe you set it to vibrate every 10 minutes from 8:00am - 9:00am every morning as you get ready for work. It's a simple task that can be used for many different things.
Create context-based voice reminders
Well here is a good idea. You can set voice reminders based on the time and date. At the end of every month you can have your phone yell at you about paying your bills.
So for a task like this to run, you'd create a new profile where the context is the date and the event is the reminder. This is another simple but very useful task.
Sensor Events
This is my favorite type of task to run. You can assign any type of task to run when it's triggered by a sensor. For example we can tell Tasker to launch Chrome when you shake your device. You can even program how sensitive the shake trigger will be and how long it lasts. But launching an app is just one thing you can do with it. You can also tell it to shut your screen off, send a text, make a call, kill a specific app and all kinds of nice things.
These examples are pretty bare bone but it's just to get you started. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be creating much more elaborate tasks that can do amazing things to help you be a more productive person.
Awesome stuff really like the alarm one
Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
Thank you for profiles.
You can use the "test app" feature in the application task section, and test against the Calendar app to pull data from it. Then you can manipulate this however you want, for example, when I dismiss my alarm my phone reads out my calendar events for the day. I will post a guide later today on how to do this.
I use a couple of profiles for productivity. The first is what I call active mode, which is a user created variable. If I'm in active mode and try to go on non productive apps such as a game or social media my phone tells me I'm in active mode and should do some work before switching back to my launcher home screen. I also have some activity tracking profiles which log when I start and finish something before uploading the information to a Google spread sheet.
