TyTn screen orientation problem - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi,
When I receive a phone call the screen turns on in the wrong orientation and I have to wait until it reverses to the correct orientation before being able to answer the call. This is causing me to loose calls and it's really annoying.
I tried to turn off the automatic screen orientation switch but it also disables active sync and I can't accept that.
If you have the same problem and found a solution please let me know.
Thanks,
Laurent

Dim on start up slide function won't work

having some issues with my phone starting up and being dim. The only way to make it light again is to go to backlight settings and change them. Also when I slide the keyboard out, it doesn't make the noise and the screen doesn't adjust. I had a error with QuickGPs once and then my phone wouldn't stop vibrating. Any have this problem before or know how to fix it. Or some ideas on how to fix it. I fixed it once by sot-reset but it isn't working atm.
For the screen not rotating automatically, try going into the settings and manually changing the rotation to the opposite of what it should be in the current keyboard orientation and then back. Then try sliding the keyboard out and see what happens. I don't own a Kaiser yet, but the Tilt I was playing with at the ATT store seemed have this issue and doing that fixed it. It could also be that the mechanism that's used for sensing the keyboard open/close is broken. I believe someone said it's magnetic. I'm not sure though.

Disable Autolock during Calls?

Hi,
I got autolock activated on my phone. But it also locks during calls - disabling the whole call menu. Is there a way to stop the device from autolocking during calls?
I am interested too in having a solution for this.
Thanks.
Sure one could use S2U2 for this. But I don't like this program, it doesnt really work that well on the Diamond.

That doesn't help, because autolock locks when the light is dimmed. NoSleep prevents from blanking, but light will also be dimmed after a time and that locks the phone.

You should, however, be able to delay the autolock when the screen is dimmed by:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight\AutoDevic eLockTimeout -> Change the Dword value (30 = 30 seconds, etc)
I have the same problem, and I have set also the delay for autolock here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight\AutoDevic eLockTimeout to 30s but the problem still exists.
Any solutions?

I've got the same annoying problem with raphael locking during the calls but this doesn't work. With timeout set to 30s device locks immediately after the screen turns off.
I turned off sleep during calls, fast sleep, light sensor is off during calls, but screen eventually turns off anyway and then autolock does its job...
i found the solution
I changed HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Controlpanel/AIILEDMgr/LightSensorToScreenOff
to 30 seconds an that did the job!!!
This is my solution:
Removed the Dim Backlight and just leave the Turn Off Mobile Device after 40 Seconds.
As u know autolock start when the Dim is active. So... if u remove the dim,... the autolock start as soon as ur display is completelly off.
Bye
???
I am sorry, but I do not understand what you did.
"removed the dim backight"?? in regedit? in a menu?
try like this. It's italian but u will understand of course.
I've got a slightly different problem in that when my phone is Autolocked, I can hit the wake button and the screen dims to the lowest possible value.
Sometimes it stays at that lowest possible value indefinitely and even once the unlock operation is successful. So, I'm stuck nearly not being able to read my screen.
This instant and permanent dimming isn't countered by Lumos, which I also have installed. When I disable Autolock, Lumos always has my screen the right brightness. When I enable Autolock, Lumos doesn't seem to be able to do anything at all.
So, my question is, how do I prevent Autolock from dimming my phone when it asks the unlock question? Or is it even Autolock doing this? Perhaps it's a combination of Autolock and Lumos or even something else?
I just changed the settings in settings>Keylock to the second option. The buttons aren't locked now during call, so you can still hang up.
Maybe a solution?

Reminders - Let the phone sleep

Just upgraded to 6.1. I would like to keep the phone asleep when an alarm goes off, I only want a sound or vibrate notification. I'm pretty sure I had it set-up that way before the upgrade.
The problem is that the phone wakes up for a reminder and it will end up dialing a phone number or some other random thing before it goes back to sleep. This happens because I don't hear the alarm, it is still in the holster and movement pushes on the screen. This has happened several times.
Maybe I was using an app before that I need to put back on, I don't remember. This is very annoying and potentialy embarrasing.
Come to think of it, I want the phone to stay asleep no matter what, until I wake it up. I may have had a phone call that I missed and the movement caused the phone to redial. How can I keep the screen disabled until I push the wake-up button?
Thanks-
Diff
Edit:
This is the Tilt w/ ROM from HTC site
Lock your handset
I think locking the handset will solve your problem. I just tried it, I was able to dismiss the calendar reminder but other functions needed me to follow the unlock route. I assume this will work if you also get called.
Install S2U2.
Set it to lock on wakeup.
Thanks Proto, I'll try S2U2. It looks like it may work, and it is pretty cool too.
Although I would rather use a method with a smaller footprint. There has to be a registry hack that would simply keep the screen disabled until I activate it.
Anyone?
no wakeup on reminder without s2u2
I don't like s2u2 so that doesn't do it for me. I've searched a lot on the internet but I can't find a solution that prevents reminders waking up my phone (and after that being awake in my pocket )
Somewhere in the phone there must be a list of events that can wake up the phone? Somebody knows?
Is there any solution to this problem? Last time my phone woke because of a reminder and then it sent an new appointment to a collegue while moving around in my backpack. There has to be a RegKey or smth on this

Prximity Sensor problem....

Hi, I have a huge problem. Every time I make a call, preferably my voicemail, it asks me to press a number in the keypad.
Okay, that's fine. But the only problem is the screen blacks out immediately when the call is made and I cannot choose any of the options. I'm still in the call, although it will repeat the options for about a minute and just end the call.
I can't end the call manually or use the keypad. Tried pressing the lock button, the search, the menu, and Back button. Nothing seems to work.
Is there anything I can do about this? Because this is really becoming a hinderance.
Hi the proximity sensor should brighten the display up the moment you take it away from your ear, if it dosent prpbably there is a problem with it and you need to check it out with either the provider or HTC if you can.
normally to end call you click on the notification on top of the phone.
It is kinda annoying there is no physical button to end calls but i guess thats touchscreens for you
Probabily you use one case
that cover the proximty sensor
I don't use any case or screen protiction... maybe I should to replace it...Thanks..

I had the same problem. Hard reset solved it. Also solved a problem I had connecting with intermittent connections to Wifi. I think a bum app may have caused the problems.
Starting to happen again, not like last time though. Now it's intermitent and seem to recover when the other end hangs up. May try to get a replacement phone this time.
From what I've seen around the internet this is an OS issue... And it happens to me intermittently as well, though my lock button brightens the display... It seems to have something to do with the screen timeout and the lock screen enabling itself...
Mine had the same issue.
I would pull it away from my face, nothing.
Laid it down flat, nothing
Occasionally it would flash.
I had to return it, no problems since.
The sensor must have been loose and slid behind the open area of the glass.
If you can still, get a replacement
My replacement is in the mail. I have found that if I shake or tap the phone it will flicker and come back during a call. I think the sensor is faulty.

Proximity sensor problem

Anyone having a problem with the proximity sensor when someone's calling? I can't pull out the phone from my pocket and hang up, cause every time, the call is already answered... During phone ringing the proximity sensor is not working and the screen is operational. Someone else? Reported already?
Am I the only one? I've tested the proximity sensor, it's working fine. Done a hard reset without phone settings restore, but still while ringing, with hidden sensor, the screen is active. Had this problem with xiaomi a1, with Nokia 6.1 it was ok. So wondering, of it's just me (somekind of hardware problem) or software?

I don't recall having any issue with the screen when a call comes in. Can you explain the problem a little more? I just want to make sure I test it properly based on the issue you're having.
- Call comes in
- Phone is in pocket
- Call answers? Or screen activates and registers touch while in your pocket? Not sure of what's going on here
This is the part I don't follow. Is it answering automatically? Or is it that when you try to remove it from your pocket, you're somehow answering the phone?

Sorry. The problem is that the screen is active and obviously my pocket is capacitive
You can test it easy - someone calls you and you cover up the sensor. For me, it stays active and lit up. I think it stays active even during a call, no matter that it's not on - sometimes it seems I press things with my face.
Just to update - I got a replacement of the phone, cause the other one died, but the new one still has this problem - while taking it out of the pocket of normal jeans while ringing, it either slides to answer the call (most of the time) or to reject it. Happens like 60+ % of the time, in dry pocket. Am I the only lucky guy out here or I should expect this phone to kill itself like the previous?
So, it's not just me, but still no fix...
