Hi all,
I use the missing sync to backup the data from my touch diamond to my laptop.
Just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to put all the stuff back on once i have done a hard re-set?
The main thing i would like to have back on there is my text messages, everything else isnt really that important.
If anyone could please let me know a way to do this i would be grateful!
No one?!!

Hi everyone,
I recently had to do a hard reset/clear storage. I thought I was all good and well until today, when I tried to display some notes. Guess what? I can't!
When do a Start | Program | Notes, nothing happens! The application is definitely not there.
Alarmed, I verfied that Office Mobile was all present and accounted for. Fortunately, it was! But I need Notes, so if you know how I can get this app re-installed, please let me know.
Here's an update:
The thing is, the notes.exe application is there in the Windows directory, but when I click on it, it doesn't run. pword.exe and others run fine.
I have no problems with Outlook, but I also noticed a poutlook.exe file and clicking on that doesn't do anything, either. But, again, I'm emailing and getting my Outlook stuff no problem, so I'm not concerned about poutlook.exe.
I'm only concerned about notes.exe, because I can't do Notes like I used to. This whole hard reset is beginning to upset me; it really does not return it to the out-of-the-box state.
If you have any other suggestionss, please let me know.
Thanks.
I some how managed to delete the built in obex/ftp(bluetooth) software that came with my Tilt. Rather go through the hassle of reinstalling the whole rom and what not. So my question is, is there a better software out there?
Also, could someone please upload the Tilt's default obex/ftp software please?
so nobody?
with SKTools you can recover the files from the ROM.
any other option, like if I know someone with a Tilt also can they send me theirs? And if so where is located the files?
So, the screen on my Tilt has died. Luckily I use Pimbackup pretty regularly, so most of my stuff is saved, but I would like to pull my recent text messages off the device. I know I've received a dozen or so texts since the screen broke
Is there any PC based software that will do that? I've searched, but can't seem to find anything that doesn't require installing/using a device based program.
Cheers!
BUMP!
Well, all my searching has come up with nil -- just a quick bump to see if anyone has any ideas before I have to send this unit back tomorrow, when my new one arrives...
Search harder, My Mobiler is probably what you want.
Pocket controller professional will do it. Shows a virtual pda screen on your PC. But with the new Sprite Backup 6.1, you can also initiate backups & restores directly from your PC with the PC Backup manager.
Sprite Back up is now on version 6.2 and will do exactly what you want via desktop back-up.
You guys rock.
My Mobiler worked like a charm to get at my stuff -- curiosity was seriously killing me.
Sprite Backup looks as if it'll be my new backup solutions!
Thanks so much for your help!
Hi all,
I have a very annoying quirk with the way the Touch Pro sends a reply to an email. When you type an email and space down to start a new paragraph on a new line it looks fine when you type it but when you send it it pulls all the spaces out of the email making the entire thing one big paragraph. My Jasjam does not do this and I am wondering if anyone has a solution.
The strange thing is that it only does it on replies. If i start a fresh email it will actually send it maintaining the same structure I typed it in. Its the same thing regardless of whether i use the original shipped or cooked 6.1 or 6.5 roms.
Anyones help or ideas would be most welcome. Thanks.
Has nobody noticed this issue? or is it not so annoying?
It happens on all of your devices I would expect as I have seen a couple of devices do it. Its possibly a reg tweak somewhere that could fix it.
I have this problem too and it is annoying, but if you click on Edit sender's message while composing it'll send the whole message in plain text, including your line breaks. You'll lose any HTML formatting in the original message.
Many thanks for the tip. I just tried it and it worked fine. It would be good if MS or HTC or someone really clever here could find a system fix for it.
Thanks again for your help.
No problem. I've no idea why it does that, I had to mess around with it for a while and accidently found that workaround. My Hermes and Kaiser didn't have this problem.
