Anybody here a idea how to make it connect again with the cable?

I'm a flooring salesmen and one of my potential clients/builders has a Touch Pro that suddenly won't sink to his pc.
He has a pc running XP with Activesync 4.5
When he plugs his phone in nothing happens... When he clicks on Activesync and clicks "Connect" it doesn't find his phone.
What is going on?
Please help. Thx

Hi there,

Check if the device is recognized as an external drive - there's an option in the settings where this can be changed. (Connection Settings / USB to PC) You can either connect as external drive or by ActicveSync with some devices.
Also, quality of the USB cable can make a difference.
I've also found that connecting through a USB hub never works reliably; plug it directly into the computer.
If none of these work, the USB controller of the computer might be kaputt. Do other USB devices work in the same port?
Does the Touch sync on other PCs with ActiveSync?

Check in your ActiveSync settings on your device and make sure you don't have it set to Disk Drive Mode. Otherwise, there may be an issue with your PC's OS. Have you tried connecting to another PC?
When you plug in the usb cable do you get the pop up on the diamond asking which connection type to choose (activesync, disk drive, internet sharing)?
Go to AS on the diamond - menu - connections - check the box, if not checked to sync the phone thru USB.
Hello every1.
I have a problem here.
When I plug in my USB cable to my S4A and connect it to PC, I get only charging and NO USB CONNECTION.
No USB debugging, no anything but phone charging.
Anyone has an idea what of system files should I look at for that?
I've tried SG Mass Storage enabler (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mohammadag.samsungusbmassstorageenabler) and after that it stop connecting.
What does that app do and change, so what should I revert to stock state??
Please help.
Some Windows setup needs to be repaired to properly identify USB connected hardware. I have a link to fix it in my thread

Hi, guys!
Do you know if there's a way I can attach a USB Dongle into the port that's in the HDMI end of the Ready-For cable?
I mean, I have a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, but they will only connect to the dongle that came with them, I have a regular USB to USB-Type C converter, which works on the phone if connected directly to its port, but if I connect it to the HDMI, it doesn't, if there a way to make it work?
I hope I managed to explain myself.
The HDMI's USB is only for charging. And if your keyboard and mouse connect to a dongle they are wireless but not bluetooth, if they were then you would be able to directly connect them to the phone. The solution is to either to buy a USB C hub with HDMI and USB or buy bluetooth periferals.

That really makes a lot of sense. I hadn't thought about it that way.
Thank you very much.
