Kaiser not charging on mains but charges via pc - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi All,
I have been have a few little issues recently.
I have 3 chargers that connect direct to the mains and neither of them work?
However my phone will charge if I connect it to my little cradle that connects to the pc?
Anybody have any suggestions on this strange issue?
Can all 3 chargers go wrong at the same time?!

You,ve probably damaged USB socket on your phone. Maybe you've poked the socket with a stylus? Try searching I remember reading a few threads on this problem.

Pin E is the 5v rail.
Only 1 pin is the 5v, if it was damaged the surely it wouldnt charge via the cradle?
I think it worked before I did a ROM upgrade.

[Q] generic charger problem.. phone freeze

Today I got from a big Pc store a generic charger which has two inputs car/home and two outputs usb 1000 mA and 500 mA.
Connected the IS and in all my years I've never seen something like that. Phone charges but touch screen is not responding while connected to that charger. Tried both outputs, different outlet in the house, even another charger with one usb at 500 mA. Only with that charger I bought today the problem exists. As soon as I disconnect it the screen works again..
Any ideas?

yes thought of the data pins too but (I opened it) they're so tight soldered to the board that was difficult to do anything.. anyway.. I'll probably try to return it.
FYI all of you since these chargers are Chinese and pretty widespread look like that (nevermind the label)

Making a cable for rooting Chromecast.

Hello guys,
I got myself a Chromecast i need to attempt to root.
I dont have a cable, and i cant be bothered to buy one, when im pretty sure i can make one.

Here is what i have:
Since the 100K resister on the diagram, is if you add the micro USB to the loop straight away.
The plan i have is to connect my two female USB together, and us the male usb plus and minus for the power charging. But does it only use the 5v for charging?
The finished plan would be as said abouve, and then plug the cable provided with the chromecast into one of the USB, and USB pen drive with files into the other.
As far as my own theory this should work, without the 100K resistor needed. Anyone have input. I have searched high and low, and i am sorry if this has been posted before.

That should work - just make sure all your connections are secure, nothing's backward or shorted, etc.
I didn't need any resistor when I combined my Y-cable and adapter, so I don't think Chromecast cares.
I made this same cable without a resistor for rooting ChromeCast. Worked just fine.. Bhiga was slightly wrong, there are two pins that do need to be shorted, the diagram is right... I didn't feel like soldering a short on those tiny pins so I just ran a long wire between the USB micro and the joints that I soldered.
Took about 2 hours to make the cable.
I'd be sure to use a continuity meter to make sure you aren't shorting any other pins

Slow charging, 9 hours till full from 23%???

Is there a work around for the phone not recognizing a non-OEM charger and charging slowly? There HAS to be a way around this! My G2 is currently sitting at 23% and it says that it will take 9 hours to charge till full!?!?! Even with a generic charger there is no way it should take 9 hours to add 77% to my battery. Any suggestions from anyone, other than buying the OEM charger? I know they're only $10 on eBay but if I could buy one I would have.

What cable are you using? Cheap USB cable have small gauge wires that cannot carry the current this phone draws and will create a large voltage drop which eventually terminates or slows the charging process.
I have a cheap 1A knockoff car charger and use a very short USB cable (1ft) and my phone charges almost as fast as at home.
T
EDIT: Also check the USB port in the phone - if there is lots of lint in there, it prevents the connector from seating and making good contact.
The USB port is fine but I'm using a 2.1amp plug that supports quick charging and a regular 6ft microUSB cable. Still getting the "charging slowly" message.

Must have been a problem with CM13 or something. After restoring my stock backup I no longer get the "charging slowly" message and the phone definitely charges fast now.
I would try charging while completely shut down.
Yes its an issue with the rom you are using. I would suggest you use stock lollipop rom with dorimanx kernel to get the most outta your device.

P20 pro super slow charging

Hi. I need help regarding my p20 pro. It charges super slow like almost 6 hours just to full. I tried measuring the charging rate with an app and this was the result.

Are you using huawei's own charger and charging cable?
When you plug the charger in,does it say "Supercharging" on the display?
Use a toothpick gently to remove any dust etc that may be in charging port.
Hi!
Check whether the phone and the power adapter are connected properly. And you should use box accessories (original) charger.

Fast charge problem

Hi. My phone is on stock MIUI 12.0.1. It is not rooted nor unblocked.
The phone came with a regular (5VĂ—2A=10W) charger that works fine. I tried to charge it with with two different Samsung chargers (9V x 1.67A = 15W) and it does detect that it is fast charger yet the battery level keeps dropping.
Do I need a 18W charger? Do you think it is a bug/hardware problem? It is still under warranty.
Thanks!

Measure the charging and discharging current of your battery.

Install this and screenshot the screen to me, while the phone is plugged in.
First picture is with the regular 10W xiaomi charger and second with the 15W Samsung one. Sorry about the spanish words but you can see the voltage and current. Both Samsung chargers show about the same and they both work fine with their phones. Samsung chargers say "adaptive fast charging"

May not be compatible fast charging technologies.
Yeah... I've been doing some more research and that is what I'm thinking too... The phone is supposedly compatible with "qualcomm quick charge 3.0" and just maybe it is not compatible with Samsung chargers. What I did not expect was for the phone to actually discharge while plugged in. I will try to test a different charger and report back but being COVID times and everyhting it may take a while. Thanks to both of you!

Best bet is to use a OEM charger and cable.
I have 2 sets for my Samsung... makes troubleshooting easier.
